I have three more coming in plus also just received one of Geo's extra-longer model, so when all are in hand will do another test —
with Everything All shot through same gun same ammo under the same conditions, day, time, phase of moon, etc. You'll see it hopefully soon...

🔶 SILENCER TESTS 🔶
A couple of thoughts on your silencer test — and a GTA wide silencer test:


🔶 (1) It would be helpful to have tests at a few different muzzle energies.
Because as others have commented, with a low powered gun a large silencer might not perform much better than a small one. But there will be a huge difference at a high power setting, due to the amount of air that needs to be "silenced."
Of course, the caliber influences the power somewhat.


I'd think the following would be 4 categories that a user can then use to interpolate for a particular power level. ▪12FPE  |  .177cal [or .22cal]
▪30FPE  |  .22cal
▪45FPE  |  .25cal [or .22cal]
▪60FPE  |  .30cal [or .25cal]



🔶 (2) There is a big difference between 30FPE with shroud installed — and without shroud.
Since most PCP's come with a shroud nowadays, I'd make the test with the shroud, and state that fact.



🔶 (3) PS (PRETTY SILENCERS)
Personally, I'm interested in how the PS (pretty silencers) perform against each other (not the plain cans, but the decorative ones with grooves, slits, and notches). 
The looks of a DonnyFL, Ramus, or Huggett really help a gun — if it ain't accurate, at least it looks pretty when missing the bulls!

  I host a silencer  metering event at my farm.  Well I did in 18 and 19 covid  canceled 2020.

  Bill brings 3 sound meters  and places one 1 meter  left and one at each ear of the shooter.   People bring there gear and meter it.  The results  are tabulated  and open source  on NFA talk. 
   I'm  sure they won't mind testing air guns. I know they have done a few.
    One shot is fired unsurpassed  for a base line then 9 supresed  to get a good average.

Your generous offering made me think of another idea:
Where do we get a lot of airgunners toghether naturally without much extra effort?  —>  At a shooting competition!

So, a silencer test could be worked in running parallel to the event where everyone who owns one or more silencers could go to the testing site during downtime, 10 minutes max.
