Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone knows if Greg from Ballistic Enterprises is still around and still selling his mount for the Sheridans?
I have tried to contact him but l haven't got any reply over the last few weeks.
I really want one of his scout scope mounts as l feel it's the best design.
If he is no longer offering these, does anyone have one for sale?
Worst case, l'll spend a few lunchtimes in the workshop at work and make one. Can someone spend a minute or two and provide a few of the basic dimensions? The main details l need are the width and the thickness of material above the hole for the barrel channel.
Regards
George

If you don't have any luck finding one from Greg, You can get this one from Mac-1. http://www.mac1airgunshop.com/product-p/iashba.htm (http://www.mac1airgunshop.com/product-p/iashba.htm)

I tried calling him and sent him a message here, his screen name is BALLISTIC1...hope that helps 8)

Habernero69er,
The Mac-1mount looks fine for a normally mounted scope, but in my opinion it looks too high for a scout scope.
Crossman99,
I sent him a pm using that name, but no reply from him as yet...

I've got that same mount on my blue streak, and my Benji 342 both are scout mounted and work just fine.

Just a suggestion: before you spend time trying to fabricate a mount for a scope, try the Williams peep sight. You may be pleasantly surprised how accurate the gun becomes without the added weight of a scope.

I got mine back in April of this year at www.rlairgun.com (http://www.rlairgun.com).
I just looked and they said out of stock.
Seems they said that when I ordered mine.
I emailed them and they get usually get in a shipment within two weeks.
If you've never seen one or used one, I'll give you some advice.
Unless you get a small tactical scope thats really short in length its gonna make pumping harder cause you won't have
a good place to put your hand anymore. A long scope will stick out and cover the area where your hand fits on the stock 392.
I have heard folks say that when mounted, the BE1 mount is so strong they can hold on to their scopes and pump the gun, and it seems
to give them added leverage.
I have never tried this cause I don't want to risk a missed shot while squirrel hunting from a scope thats been knocked off zero.
Hope this helps.

I really like peep sights but unfortunately m y rifle is not drilled for the Williams sight.
I might get it drilled down the track, but a scope mount won't isn't permanent.
Hopefully Greg gets in touch with me soon....

Unfortunately more than a few of us have been trying off and on for over a year... I haven't gotten replys either...
Buy the MAC1 mount, its not the same and a lil higher, but its quality and you will be buying from a company and a man that is top notch. He is also here to talk to and answer questions, our own Timmy Mac..

Thanks for your reply about Greg no longer selling his mounts.

l'm still keen to buy one if anyone has one but l'll have a go at making one anyway.

you could always buy the Williams peep and have a gunsmith drill & tap the receiver to put it on. at one point I thought about getting one and trying to have my dads cousin ( who my dad originally bout if from in '86) do it cause he used to be a gunsmith.
-
Just realized I bought my Integrabase from Gregg in February of this year. I'm not sure if it's ok to post his gmail address here that I Paypaled so I'll PM you.

Thanks Corey,
I thought l sent him an email, but l send him another just in case something wierd happened.

Does anyone know why this mount won't work on older models of Sheridans? I thought that the BE #1was meant to fit the the older Sheridans.

The breeches are different.

Evidently there was at least one batch of mounts made to fit the older Sheridan pumps - http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=37106.0 (http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=37106.0)
