I have a few of the $100 FD pcp's ready for converting...they have no safety and a different valve than the first gen..same valve as the second gen rifles so no more major valve issues. the bolts have two O-rings to take up any slop in the bolt. The big difference is the exhaust port in the valve, the factory valve has a 1.5 mm exhaust port so speeds are in the 700 fps range in .177 at 1500 psi with very little report noise. I did open one valve port to 2mm and was getting 800 fps....funny thing with the stock valve is if the adjuster is run in all the way the velocity drops, back it out to the usual low power setting and the speed goes up!!! Haven't done shot count testing but it should be better than the first gen....if more power is needed it's there just need to open the exhaust port and do a little work on the spring etc...
-
Is the whole latest batch like that or is this just a few of them?
Sounds pretty great to me.
-
I have only opened up two but as they are all one production run will most likely all the same...

700 with lead 7.5-8grain pellets?
-
I was using 8.6 grain Peak pellets for the test...RWS hobby pellets went faster by around 60 fps
-
sweet, need a 177 for squirrel duty in attic
-
with the lower velocity the rifles are much quieter also...
-
I have a couple of questions:
1. Are these only in .177?
2. Are these selling as normal FDPCPs?
3. How hard is it to change out barrels with these?
Thanks for your time!
-
only in .177, selling for $100, you will need to contact via e-mail or phone as they won't be on the site other than in the news and announcements once I get some run up...undo two screws holding the rear sight and remove one set screw and pull...that's all it takes to get the barrel out....

Got mine yesterday !:)
FDPCP Gen 1.5 .177
Wow, Thanks Mike !!!
CPHP 7.9gr = 1044fps @ 1400 psi, 4705' Elevation
Thru a 1.75" block of Pears transparent soap,then thru a 5/8th" phone book !
(got 4 bars being reused in plastic containers, microwaved)
Very LOUD at this tune level, 90.9db next to end of muzzle.
Shooting high centered, hope the rear sight gets low enough to sight in,
A scope is the plan but just wanted to shoot it a bit first.
All SMILES !!
PS: Mike, Thanks for the tune info note on box lid underside!!

Do these have the new and improved valve?
Would it be possible to use a .22 barrel on these like I can on my current XS60?
What kind of velocities can we hope for in .177 and in .22?
-
they have the second gen valves, rifles are set at what velocity you want when ordered. You will need to buy a blank barrel and have it machined to fit for .22 as I have none...first gen barrels will fit
-
Does that mean 2nd gen .177 barrels will fit a 1st gen .22?
-
sorry gen 2 barrels don't fit gen 1...
-
Nuts. One way swap, huh?
-
sounds interesting
-
Mine arrived yesterday, Mike they look and feel great. Thanks
I only had time to take a few shots, the trigger felt much lighter than the Gen 1 I have played with.
Is 1500psi the max or can these take 2000?
Is there anything I need to watch for when taking them apart to clean, small jumpy parts, easily broken or damaged parts etc?
-
fill pressure depends on the velocity at that pressure, to much and the speed may drop, really need a chrony to tell where to start, best not to exceed 2000 psi...
-
What are the major differences between gen 1 and gen 2 of the XS60C PCP rifle?
-
Yeah, I've got the same question as Mouka, as a relative newbie what's the difference between XS60C and Gen 1, Gen 1 1/2 and gen 2?
-
the barrels are machined differently, the gen two and 1 1/2 have the O-rings machined into the head of the valve rather than behind as in the gen one, the 1 1/2 has O-rings on the bolt to remove the play...lower velocity in factory trim for the 1 1/2 and two gen...gen two has the safety I think that's about all the differences,,,
-
What size are those bolt o-rings? Could they just be slipped onto a gen 1?
-
special grooves cut in the bolt for then, use the 012 o-ring as used on the barrel...
-
Mike,
Can I buy one of those fancy new valves (I NEED something) and swap it into my rifle?
CW
-
Will the bolt from a gen 1-1/2 work in a gen 1?
-
yes the bolt works in the gen one, we have valves on hand...
-
I too am very interested in the 2nd generation valves if that can cure some of the ailments of the 1st generation PCPs. I think that I need some spare parts too to make sure my rifle will be operational for a long time to come. Things like the intake valve and fill nipple, the valve itself and the valve assembly. I also need some clear o-rings that seal the valve inside the air tank.
Can I have a quote for these items Mike?
Thanks

Sent you a email Mike! NO RUSH!
THANK YOU!!
