You talkin' about shootin' around Summerville? Great! I grew up in Charleston around where I-526 crosses Dorchester Rd. I know thw area. I just bought a Torpedo 100x and a Leverage a few month ago and would love to see how they shoot at a range bigger than my back yard in Savannah.
;D I wish you weren't a 15 hr drive it sounds like fun and I know the area from my old Navy days . Had a friend from Arkansas and we spent many a free weekend riding around the back roads down that way.
Hey guys if you'd like to shoot at my 'exploding' plinking targets send me a mailing address and I'll get some to you.

MAX LONG-RANGE TARGET DISTANCE?
Al,
What will be the max long-range target distance?
Thanks,
Al.
How far is the site from the Santee State Park?

Al,
What will be the max long-range target distance?

Longest straight shot will be 175 yards...
Opened the link to the map, but couldn't find the specific location...it just showed all the continents. Am I doing something wrong?
Carlos
Big Al,
You gave us the dates (days) of the event but not the month. Which month is it? I live in Jacksonville, Fl and am seriously thinking about coming (maybe with a friend). If the event is near Lake Marion I believe it will be about a 5 hr. drive. It takes me about 2 1/2 hrs. to get to the Savannah exit on I95. Anyway, which month is it?
Thanks,
Tim Weir
Al,
That may be too short a notice for me. I just got your e-mail yesterday. Oh, well. Do you have many scheduled events? If so I would love to attend in the future. Please let me know.
Thanks,
Tim Weir
Hey Al,
September or October (even November) would be great. I talked to my friend here about coming and he would like to also but this weekend is a little too soon. But please, any future date we would love to come. We both love airguns and have a club here that meets monthly in Yulee, Fl. called N. Florida Shooters. We are sanctioned by the USARB.
Anyway, please keep me in mind for the future. I'll be there.
Thanks,
Tim Weir

"The event is scheduled for Saturday the 2nd and Sunday the 3rd from sun-up to sun-down!" which month?? lol
Going to see if i can swing on down as i live pretty close in Wedgefield. However i have a ton of stuff going on trying to get my Daughter all ready for her first year of college at Winthrop!!! lots of school supply shopping to do.. and i have a previously scheduled bike ride for Saturday morning... AND on top of all that its "Date Weekend" Wife is supposed to take me to a Movie AND a Meal!!! yeah I tried to tell her that we could do the DATE out shooting exploding plastic water bottles!! but shooting outside in August is not her idea of fun... seriously somebody needs to do one of these Carolina shoots in the Fall/Winter... i mean this is SOUTH Carolina we got pretty mild winters!! lol Just saying...... :P

Hope you can make it. :D
As mentioned before, this started off as just me and Al getting together to do some shooting on on his private property.
We then decided that we would ask any other GTA Members that would like to join to do so.
The name of it started off as a joke from Jeff R. off Trenier Outdoor Products, because it just so happens that Al and I have the same name, hence the name of the event being "Als' Lowcountry Fun-Shoot".
Al has already mentioned that we put on another one to me when it is cooler, like late September, mid October, as we agree with you about the heat.
If yall don't make this one, hopefully the next one!
Respectfully,
Al.
Wow Al n Al....this really took off...
175 yards? at a school bus?...pffff....4 shots with OTC's BT-65 and you'll be able to pick which letter in the school name you're gonna hit next..
when I had that air rifle, I was hitting 2" pieces of broken shotgun pigeons at 100 yards....with authority too!
so a 6x8 75 yards farther down range is feasible...
Ok, let's make it official....
The First weekend in October, 10/04/14 and 10/05/14, will be our next shooting weekend and the next episode of the Als' Low Country Fun-Shoot.....
I'll mark the calendar. Really looking forward to this. (Which probably means I'll end up working... >:() It will give me a chance to really try out the new evanix.
Nice, sorry i couldn't make it... how well did the exploding water bottle things work?? and keep me posted for the next one!! early November would be cool literally!!
See you all there.
Wish I lived closer!
BZ
Al,
You are a Beast with the targets...
I need to start saving cans now.....
Dad sent me a care package of Hi-Vis targets today, wait till you see them....
Al

Dan,
It is far enough out that you can plan ahead, plane tickets are cheap...
So far, it looks like I'll be able to make it. ;D I don't have a lot of targets, but what I do have will be brought and I am taking hillbilly's advice and saving bottles. I'm really stoked about this.
If anybody has any extra .45 pellets laying around, I wouldn't be adverse to a little wheeling and dealing..... 8) ;)

The ones i got are made by air venturi and they mic out at approx. Length- .484 and Diameter- .454 with an average weight of 159grs. They are labeled to weigh 166gr, but they missed it. These are the only ones I have to play with right now. I did manage to put 12rds downrange to get it on paper at 42yds, but haven't done much else with it to see what it prefers. It's an hour to the shooting range and then I have to share with the powder burners who seem to get a little miffed that I'm there.
The magazine will only accept pellets less than .600 in length and the weight limit is around 200gr.
I'm hoping you guys can help me figure out a good setup for this monster.. ::)
If you have sometthing you want to try, I'm up for it.
Hey Al,
In that box of goodies I sent are some water caps with Bigger Blast 3-liter valves installed in them. I punched the holes to exactly 7/32" because that's the size treefork to me to make but I did have problems with the inflation needle pushing the valve out of the cap. Treefork has posted a How To video and now I can see the difference. The punch he used is a 7/32" but the hole you get is undersized in soft material. Off I go to Walmart tomorrow for more water bottles and I'll send you some replacement caps.
It's good that you gave us a lengthy notice on this fun shoot!
And by the way I usually have these valves listed on ebay as:
Big Blast Target Inflator - BIGGER Blast for 3-liter bottles
but I've run out and it will be a week or so before more come in.
Check out the video and you'll know everything about using these cheap little valves in water bottle caps.

Have a BLAST!!
Charlie
OOPS! Just been talking to treefork and he says the punch he used is 5/32 not 7/32. Sorry my hearing is real bad and youtube's closed captioning is too.
And now the rest of the story... Treefork's video doesn't show him installing a valve in that tiny little hole, so how does he do it?
'Get it started and pull it thru with my teeth'
If you are like me you'll use needle nose pliers to make sure your teeth don't end up on the workbench!
Looking good...
Looking good...
Thanks Al!
I now realize that I will not be able to use the nuts if I want Tim to be able to replace the spoons easily.
I will use dense rubber spacers/tubing and the washers instead. Will just have to slide the tunes and old spoons off when wanting to replace them.
The only nuts will be the two wing-nuts that hold the all-thread to the base or the stand/s.
So, will have to finish tomorrow.
Thanks again,
Al.
p.s. It will have a total of 9 spoons on it!
"I still like the idea of bending the spoon handles around the threaded Rod, you can use lock nuts and washers that way and know they won't wonder around on you...."
Would too have much rather done it that way, but the spoons are very hard to bend around the all-thread or even to bend a loop into without the loops being huge or the spoons breaking.
I will just bring the spoons with me when we come-up Friday the 3rd and see what we can come-up with.
Thanks,
Al.
waiting with baited breath here...
I think I need to change the balance point of my Titan GP NP powered Fury II stocked .22....gah what a mouth full...it needs a new name...think I'll call it the (drums and timpany) "Titan II NP"
I still need a scope for it that has cross hairs that don't rotate and are at least sort of aligned with the adjustment turrets...the lighter and cheaper the better....hmmm maybe a CP 3-9X40 from wallworld?...
early October works for me... was praying you wouldn't do mid to late Oct as that's the anniversary and wife's birthday! lol but i know the world doesn't revolve around me..lol maybe i might even have a NP2 by then to test... everything got pushed back because my Suburban needed a new rear end..... expensive fix!! although i am tempted to wait tell Crosman has another Black Friday sale...

I have a two cavity mold round and conical for the .45, but iI don't remember the size and weight. I will find the mold and cast a few this weekend to measure.
If this rain doesn't quit we will be swimming at the fun shoot....Ain't that the truth.

Gonna get together the same as before,
Cracker Barrel parking lot I-26 exit 199 at 8AM ?
I was only there for day one this time around but had a real blast. I enjoyed seeing Al and Al and Tim again, and I enjoyed meeting all the other folks from around the state. Great guys and some really nice guns. Airgunwarriors targets were fantastic as usual. The weather was perfect, although the breeze was a little strong for long distance grouping, not that I was shooting much long distance anyway. Hopefully we can get together and do this again before long. Thank you again Al and Al.
Geoff
Thank you all for the praise...
Al were you able to get the video loaded to You Tube yet?
See you all there!
I know it's close to showtime, and am certain that I can make it. If it's still on, of course. It's been really quiet here lately.
Hope everyone is doing okay.
&^^&... what size? I just got rid of a bunch of scraps....
(That wasn't naughty, oh great censor!)
Not a prob. I'll grab what I can. ;D Definitely worth it after all the work you put into them.
By the way, did I ever say thanks? I hope you know I mean it.
One thing that has really intrigued me is the number of people here in SC that don't seem to know about this. There's flatcar1, Gene, and BillinSC that I can think of off the top of my head, but I haven't heard from any of them but Bill. He can't make it due to harvesting. Any thoughts?
We wouldn't be able to make it friday, my friend had to trade days at work to be able to come down saturday. :( Are we going to need more bottles or paintballs? I'm picking up some PVC tomorrow. Also grabbing some more reelection signs. It's nice of politicians to provide such excellent target holders. Almost makes me feel like I'm getting my money's worth out of them.
I'm still wondering about Tim's parting comment to me... "it takes a special man to appreciate a B3"...
but I LOVE that B3 he gave me...anybody with $100 can have my Captian Tacticool Titan/FuryII scope breaking hotrod, but that B3 is going in with the family heirloom Crosman 160 and the 1970's Sheridan Pumper that are the first airguns I ever hunted with..the squirrels in the back yard haven't realized it yet, but there's anew kid in town!
Did you get the bur removed from the transfer port?
I would like to make it, but doesn't look like I'll be back in country until April. Then I'll only have roughly 3 weeks before Alaska.Did you get the bur removed from the transfer port?
I didn't see your question until now, OTC. Yea, it's good to go, I think. Probably won't get a chance to try it out until October, tho. Hopefully, I'll have the compressor by then. It'll make it easier to fill for testing when I get the chance.
I just looked at AccuWeather, and according to them, the 28th and 29th are supposed to be outstanding. I'm up for it if everyone else is. What do you guys think?
Big Al, you talking about shooting on friday and saturday or saturday and sunday?
well boooo....
I'm home this weekend, then on the road for the next 2 before my next week end off
Still shooting on the 9th?
Al,
Are you going to make it this weekend?
I'm off this weekend....(saturday the 18th)...
Next.time.off.after that is the middle.of.October...
no no bring the wife...tell her girls that shoot are cooooool...
We shoot paint balls at 25 yards, I will bring some this weekend...
Throw throw rotten eggs away. I can't stand them. I'll buy you new eggs if golf balls and wine corks aren't challenge enough.
I want to see them explode at 100-yards...if I can hit them, or anyone else for that matter.
I want to see them explode at 100-yards...if I can hit them, or anyone else for that matter.
Hang a paper target at 100 yards and send a few JSB 18.1gr at it from the QB HPA to get your trajectory. If the wind is cooperative, prepare to smile. ;D
(Looks at Tomcat kinda funny like).....a certain BT-65 with about 6 dots of holdover and JSB 25.4s was hitting pieces of broken shotgun birdies at 100 yards that weren't mich bigger than chickem eggs, the only time I got shoot it before I sold it....
I will be bringing the H&N henter extremes with me tomorrow for both .25 and .22 cal. I also have the JSB 15.4 's in .22 cal. But the real test is shooting the 21 grain .177 cal pyledrivers.
Yes they are. And the will surprise the *(&^ out you.
Dive shop doesn't open until 9am so I will be shooting low pressure tomorrow....
That is correct Tim
I bought a Webley rebel pumper last night for $6.95 on Walmart .com its already shipped and on the way.
Now shows out of stock.
The link is currently active and for sale at 6.95
I just bought five of them...
I picked up 5 more too.
I had it with me this weekend. But it will be there again.
Looks like they canceled my order for 5 more Webley Rebels. Oh well the first one will be here 9/26
booo,,,i'll still be on the road for the 10th.....
Is there a fun shot going on soon, or did I just miss it?
Martin, I sent you a PM about when, where and what.
Hope to see you there, Tim
Brenda and I now have a 13x13 canopy and a folding table for next weekend. I just received 5 bulldog rifle cases for transporting the toys as well.
tomorrow I go to get my tank filled hopefully, if not its bring the hand pump time :-[
Went there today and the new kid didn't fill it but thought he had. I didn't find out till I got home.
I was new to the shoot last month and there is not a better group of airgun enthusiast to meet in SC. There will be more than a few PCP's you can shoot to get you over the top hooked on them. :) I am bringing My Flying Dragon 34 fpe Tuned .22 cal PCP this time.Hey KEVIN never herd of the Flying Dragon before, did a google and YouTube and I must say looks like a sweet little PCP,and I really like the price. I will definitely have to check yours out if I go, wont know until Friday night. :-\
Jerry, come on down. Those "other people" will have to turn you on to the PCP. I had one, I couldn't miss. I sold it. I prefer something that rattles my teeth and takes a few second to re-focus my eyes after shooting.
I'll PM you the address if you want to GPS it to the range and my number if you want to link up somewhere. Later, Tim.
Go, Cocks.

By the way AL wich spring did you change out in the trigger?
Mike tuned mine for 900 fps with 18.3 grain JSB , but I will definitely have a pen spring. Also do think we can get that co2 cartridge unstuck ?
won't be home until next weekend....then again around the 11th
I be 'der. 11/11/15. See you guys and gals tomrrow.
Ok so tell me how it all went down, I mean I know it rained Saturday but how many showed up and what ya'll did shooting wise? Who was DA MAN on the longest shot and how did the exploding targets do? At least Sunday was a beautiful day and I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable time, I will be there for the next one on the 14th, good Lord willing.
Either or, or better yet both days.
Jerry, I got some in the bull at 100yards with my .177 Diana 470th. but not near as tight as Al's. My .177 Dominator carbine was good at 50 yards, ok at 75 and I clipped the bottom of the 18' X 12" splatter targets at 100. About the same with my .22 Mendoza RM3000 at 50, so-so at 75, "hit" the 100 yard target.
Al, I thought you did that with Big Nasty Hatsan PCP not FDPCP, I'm impressed.
if you guys choose 7th I'll be able to make that date.
Al, I thought you did that with Big Nasty Hatsan PCP not FDPCP, I'm impressed.
Ok, The 7th of November it is....;D ;D The South Jersey crew is getting together 11/7 for a fun shoot also. We can compare notes and see who had more laughs and fun acting like a bunch of ten year old's having a scratch game of baseball ;) ;D ;D ;D

Who in the world can see a 3/8" paintball @100 yards? ;D I'm going to have to break out My GPS enabled Pellets. ::)
NP XL 1100 cocking effort 47 lbs, Hatsan 135 75 lbs, Hatsan 150 57 lbs. When we meet on the 7th of November I will let you take them for a spin and you can judge for yourself.
If you make it Chuck don't forget the 155. Also, we'll be shootin' paint balls so bring the B3. I'm bringing the Bam B4 and the Peak/XS B4-2 (the ancient one). Got to put a mil dot scope on the old one, got one on the Bam. Lookout paint balls.;) Lefty you left out .303, .357 and .45 what's wrong with you . For me I think I see an FX Impact .30 and a Slayer .357 for Bull Pup high tec
Besides everything else usually I bring I'll be bringing the .177 Hatsan Torpedo 100x and and the little .177 TF M8 to sale if anyone wants one. Don't have a price in mind yet. But it'll be affordable with or without scopes.
The devil made me do it. I just got a refurbed Striker 1000 Vortex in .25 and got a Webley ValueMax springer in .20 coming. Decided I had to have at least one .25 and .20. It's an addiction. Somebody stop me before I gotta' wear glasses. Later you all's, Tim.
I miss alot more than I hit but I never miss because of the "twaannngggg". I loves my springers.Tim a good springer can hang with the PCP crowd shot for shot out to 50 yards easy the limiting factor is past 60 yards the springers can't push the heavy pellets hard enough to carry well past the 50 to 60 yard mark. I shoot both with excellent accuracy within their limitations. The real key is consistency and practice ;) ;D
That's why I sold you the 78D pcp. This is just me but with pcp it's too easy.
Big Al had 3 holes touching in the bull at 100yds with his FDPCP last time we shot up there.
If Big Al can be convinced to bring his generator we'll have air on tap. The raptor came today.
Which one does the gamo big cat 950 take as a replacement?
Thanks for the heads up on the fun shoot airgunwarriors, I can't wait sounds like a great way to spend the weekend, meeting new friends and sending some lead down range. I am going to try to bring my A game but my Benjamin Trail NP XL 1100 has a mind of it's own, dadgum thing has about drove me over the edge more than one time...lol, my Beeman Sportsman RS2 is a great little gun and it can be a little fussy but not bad. Anyways I got a lot of questions and I know you guys will answer them all so I will see ya'll there......
Is it my understanding that we are to have a "shoot out" with the New Jersey Crew, from up North?
Sorting pellets now and buying decafinated coffee!
Bring it!
Lol, competitive shooting makes it all the more enjoyable/interesting for sure!

Al, How do you want this competition to go. Sounds like fun. I guess how many paintballs you can hit in a row. Like what we did at the last GTA shoot. What distances do you think. My son talked to Joe, said that he is coming.
Tom
Sounds good guys. Can one person compete in both springer, and PCP? Looks like we only have 10 or 12 attending this time. With the holidays coming some of people can't make it. Joe, a springer at 25 yds, I don't think we have enough daylight. Would also like to thank Jeff, and Trenier for the donation.
Tom
put me down for a GRT III for for stoeger i got from Tim please....got any crosman piston seals?....local wally world has the F4 NP for $90 and I have everything else to tune up an NP with 3000F Permatex Ceramic grease but a new seal......maybe do some "live" tune vids?

I have a box of 900 that I will be bringing with me to the Jersey fun shoot and I think I have a bag of tees somewhere with my gun stuff ;DSounds good guys. Yes one person can compete in both.....
Do you have paint balls and Golf T's?
so on the GRT triggers is it first come first serve?

Hey guy's, spent from 7PM Saturday night till 5PM Sunday afternoon at in the hospital. Thought I had another heart attack. Doctor said it was a false alarm. Felt like a real one. That would have been the forth. I'm okay now. Heart doctor said I should start seeing them at his partnership regular " now that I have health insurance again". Any way I'll see you all at the fun shoot.
Me and Little Al are planning spending the night if anyone wants to shoot Sunday if that's cool with Big AL.

Any way I'll see you all at the fun shoot.

Does that mean you can sit at the bench, wait for them to dissolve, and call them all hits. ;)

a new belt?...what fer?.... there was plenty adjustment left in the old one......too tight?...had it set that way on purpose, the HUGE single 30" blade will load up an start slippin if it's not....
Hello I just joined your forum, I live in Summerville and would love to come to one of these get togethers. I'm brBTW if fire arms are welcome I have a few I could bring out as well. I currently have a crosman Blaze NP and am waiting on delivery of my DISCO .22
I have a question for my SC neighbors. What scope would you mount on a Ben Disco? Keep in mind I'm a noob to air rifles and have a budget of $150.00 or less. I will be looking for something for target shooting so I can participate in our local shoots. Thanks ahead of time for any and all responses to the overly asked question I am sure.
Big Al, you got any triggers for one of my Crosman Storms?
Big Al, still got the gas ram and seal you showed me?.....
the accuracy of the .22 Piranhas in the other guns has me interested in putting my Titan back together to see if it likes them as well as the QB does...
the .177 guns I've gotten from Tim had turned me off to .22 in springers, but the Torpedo shot the Piranhas well.....so I want to see the Titan thinks of them, as I was thinkng of pulling the FuryII stock from the Titan and putting it on my Stoeger x20s....the Stoeger shoots tighter groups than the Titan did and it's a favorite stock on favorite (most accurate) action thing for me....
I will be grabbing another Center Point 3-9x32 for the Titan......the CP 4-16x44 on the QB is slated to go on the Torpedo once I get another UTG SWAT to put on the QB, then I'll need to learn to shoot that monster springer....
Looking forward to meeting you and swapping stories.Same here, I just moved here from NW Washington state so it will be nice to meet some new people and have some friends to crack a beer open with on occasion.

Cant afford to o it to often but once in a while I have to have some fresh oysters.Looking forward to meeting you and swapping stories.Same here, I just moved here from NW Washington state so it will be nice to meet some new people and have some friends to crack a beer open with on occasion.
We were in Down Town Summerville doing just that last night, Third Thursday, at O'Lacy's pub and then the Shukin Shack...
Jerry, did you ever put a new spring or piston seal in your B3. If not bring it and we'll do a quick rebuild.
I'll bring the parts and some molly and washer or pennies. I bring a seerr and seer spring if it needs them.
Well, I couldn't stand it no longer. I ordered the Diana 56th from PA. With the coupon off the back of the catalogue I got it for $832. Ordered a Hammers 3-9X40AO for $68 off amazon to go with it. Yes, I am tickled. Hope it last.
Richard, I'll have a chrony there and probably Al will also. 3/4" plywood at 30 feet? We gonna' have to point you that thing at the 100 yard line. Don't shoot my chrony. Just kidding.Yeah it was 3/4 particle board. I'm sure actual ply wood is quite sturdier. Any ways I look forward to getting this thing chrony'd
Are we allowed to list items for trade on these pages? If so I have an AR15 setup I'd like to look at bartering a quality PCP set-up for. If you're interested message me.
Sorry bout that. It won't happen again. I guess I should take a minute to read the rules. Are we allowed to list items for trade on these pages? If so I have an AR15 setup I'd like to look at bartering a quality PCP set-up for. If you're interested message me.
No powder burner trading is allowed on this forum, check out the classified pages for things for sale, or the vendors gates.
Alright got the rules all read up on. Ordered my new stock a couple days back for the Disco. Decided on the Boyds Ss Evolution in Forest Camo. TKO Muzzle Brake 6.5" has been ordered, Air gun oil and bore cleaner, .22 cleaning pellets. Now for the tech stuff, how do I lighten up the trigger pull on this little number.
Replace the trigger return spring with one out of a pen.
So I think I've found the down side to this Air gun hobby. Waiting for all your nifty doo hickies to show up. It's like being 5 years old again and waiting for Santa on Christmas Eve. I am waiting on cleaning supplies, a trigger rebuild, muzzle brake, Boyds stock. My heart cant handle the anxiety of waiting :P;D Actually the down side is when you die and the wife sells all your AG's for what you said you spent' About 2 months ago my wife went on the Air Gun Depot web site and saw what i really spent on a couple of my rifles and scopes. I am really happy she didn't see what the Daystate Huntsman Regal XL really cost
Yeah, it's their faults though. If they didn't get all Mothery on us we wouldn't have to tell lies.So I think I've found the down side to this Air gun hobby. Told mine what the 56th cost. She wasn't impressed with the 10 percent discount.I don't even go there any more she just rolls her eyes and tells me I have a package in the man cave and what did I buy this time

You were able to get a custom stock for your Discovery from Boyds? Am I understanding that correctly?
Thanks,
Lil Al.

That's the one I have on my 177 Disco I built in august.I should have my muzzle brake and trigger tune by time of the shoot. Maybe we have fun installing the trigger and getting it dialed in nice and crisp.
That's a really nice gun, Richard. Finally got the 56th out back and also the Air Hawk Elite refurb I bought 3-4 months ago. I didn't like the scope I got for the 56th. I'll put it on something else. The Elite's trigger pull was 5 lbs. The trigger screw was out about and eight to a quarter in. Loaded it laid it across my lap pointing down range and screwed it in till it fired and backed out one turn. Now the pull is 3 lbs. I want to sale my 100X so all the trigger screws are all the way in. Here's some numbers.Congrats on the Daina 56th, I've been reading about those a lot lately and watching any video I can find. I want to take a survey of you guys. If any of you could only have 1 Air Rifle under $1000.00 what Air rifle would you choose.

Still looking for the right scope and pellet for the 56th (got dark)
Elite and 100X were driving nails.
New brass trigger from Alliance installed. WOW what a difference. I also added a second barrel band, requires a little bit of re sighting but this will be very nice for shot groups once I get used to the new trigger pull. It must be 1/3 of what the stock trigger pull was. My SS Evolution is out for delivery also via UPS right now. This should be a nice little squirrel assassin set up by the end of the week. I just need my muzzle brake to show up. Right now if I calm my self and control my breathing i can put pellet upon pellet in the same hole @ 15 yards, with the occasional flyer only being outside the group maybe 1/2 an inch. I've also managed to work 500 pellets down range so far so she's all but broken in. I really love this little DISCO. I find i get my best grouping and consistency from 1500 - 900 PSI which is fine by me means less pumping.
I hit wally world and got the old mil-dot version 3-9x32 scopes..all 3 that they had....I'm not a fan of the new TAG concept reticle......and got the $90 Crosman F4 NP ,177 that I mentioned a few weeks ago too...
got some more Piranhas and enough ceramic grease packets to try it in the F4

yep...I'll be there...wonderin if i should get the Titan washed out before I head down and maybe tear down deburr and hone the F4 too...in preparation for rebuilding both....I have some Dawn, but won't have hot water on your property.....or I could go full on rustic and bring a wash basin, a couple jugs of water and a sauce pan and heat water over a fire?...
I have a little propane stove I can bring if hot water is a necessity. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you. I don't have a tarp to set up I do have some holding chairs somewhere I hope I can camp out with one of you. I should have a nice sun shade and folding table by the next Fun Shoot.
Good, that leaves two B3-1 AK's. Gonna' keep those. Same price we agreed on. That's a bargain. Want a 3-7X32AO TF scope to go with it? I'll include the mounts. Lens covers are extra. Kidding. Sure you don't need an Air Hawk. They're pretty.
Started to offer you the Beeman Mach 12.5, but no, I like the way it makes my ears and teeth vibrate when I shoot it. It only cut my eyebrow once but I didn't drop it. It broke the scope came with it. Need a Hammers.
Spent $65 on big and small splatter targets for 25,50,75 and 100 yards and 2 tins of those SwissArms pointed pellets made in Serbia. For the fun shoo
Anybody bringing paint balls. Ha, Ha ,Ha.
My God, this thread is 29 pages long.
:D Ok I have the WF600P ready for the fun shoot, I found the RWS pointed and the Gamo PBA ballistic pellets shoot great out of it. ::)How's my Torpedo doing? I'm looking forward to meeting her. Any chance at a pic?
Is 3am too early?
I didn't notice any damage but I wasn't looking, the posts are 6' long with about 2' burried with about 100# of concrete, doubt you damage them the Minie on the other hand probably didn't make out to well...Yeah the mini wasn't to happy with me, but I had such a good time out there today I didn't even freak out about the damage. It was really minimal little tear in the bumper skin is all. Thanks again guys for the great day with a bunch of good people.

Signature updated. I liked shooting the Tropedo. Wasn't quite the bear I was expecting. Luckily I'm a larger guy, I let the weight of my fat arms do the work. Time to update you signature also, there is a new member in that group..
;D I didn't get enough yesterday so I took the B3-1 and the WF600P out and did some 30 yard groups. The scope view is through the Gamo 4×32 on the B3-1. By the way AL the Gamo broke the scope today I put on yesterday ::)
The two Hammers I just ordered will be coming with the 57 and some other parts and stuff I ordered from archie.. I'm going to use one on the 135 and one on my Mach 12.5 that just broke the scope that came with it.
Archie's are like $59.55.
I just put my hammers 6x32 on the Disco .22 last night I received from Archie's. I also have one of the QB57 coming from Archie's, they say that the QB57 is no longer going to be imported to the US.

Since the Disco is out of commission for a few I've decided I don't want to go to long without shooting. I placed an order last night for an Hatsan AT44S-10 Long QE in .22 cal. It should be here by Friday. I'm excited. I've read many reviews and some very extensive reviews and think that for the money it's probably the best bang for my buck. I know its cheating to go PCP since they require little shooting skill, but as the name infers Mr. Shaky Hands I need all the help I can get. This will make air rifle #4 in only 1 short month. My savings account is gonna be mad at me. But I'll be happier and calmer and easier to live with. I got it from Airgundepot and after a good offer along with a recent promo code it was very affordable, in fact well below the Marauder which would have been my next choice. At $549 then after a $150 discount it came in at $400 and change with a scope and bipod. That put it at $200 under the best Marauder offer with similar add-ons.
Anyone have a good opinion of AirGun Depot? I placed my order yesterday, paid the additional amount for overnight delivery expecting it to be processed and shipped today for delivery tomorrow. Now they say it won't ship till tomorrow and it probably won't show up till Monday. So lets summarize, order overnight shipping on Wednesday and receive goods Monday = money out the freaking window I could have done the free shipping and received it Tuesday. This may be the last time I do business with them.
Richard,No sir no sign of them yet. Probably tomorrow.
Have all the parts for the Disco come in?
Kevin,
Has your new spring come in?

I received My brand new fully tested QB57 .22 today. It averaged 547 FPS with 14.3 CPHP's it looks so much better in person than the pictures. it came in it's own case with all the test documents and the 3/8" grouping from 10 yards card. Tomorrow I will have the Airforce Talon out for testing.Congrats bud.

Please, guys let's do it on the 9th. The following weekend I have to be in Macon all weekend.
That's great. I thought AGD was out of the 54 refurbs. I think you'll love it. I'm still learning my 56th but so far it's amazing.Looks like they have a couple left as well as some RWS 48 for $250. Get em while they're hot peeps.
I definitely want to make one of these shoots, Feb and/or March. I would also go for one of the pocket T's in adult Large. Hollis in Barnwell, SC
Hollis, back in the 70's when I was a kid I occasionally skydived in Barnwell., mainly meets or competition. Most of the time with my club in Monks Corner. Come shoot with us in Cross. To get a T-shirt you have to know the secret handshake. We'll show it to you when you come shoot. Later, Beau.So you got in a plane with Bobby Frierson? Don't blame you for jumping out! Hey, I'm looking forward to joining in (air gun fun shoot that is).
Ladies and Gentlemen,
First lets plan on Feb 6th for the next shoot, then March 12th for the one after that, from there out I will work on a schedule...
Next order of Business, my lovely wife came up with the idea of getting shirts made. We sat down with Custom Ink and worked out a shirt design, Going to try to post the pics below. Let me know if anyone is interested...

I am going to get the T-shirt order form finalized and put it up on Customink.com this way each person can order as many shirts as they want.
Just talked w/Al in chat and he informed of the low country fun shoot. My parents, and other family, live in Columbia so I'll have to make a long weekend of it sometime and come up. I'd love to meet y'all and shoot a bit! My mom is from SC. I think at one point I felt I was related to everybody in Cherokee county one way or another. ;)
He opened a business in Phenix City? Must be a criminal. ;)
Only tattoo I have I got in Columbus. Went to basic, ait and jump school at Ft. Benning then later Bradley master gunner school. I hardly went off post let alone across the river.
;D Come on guys they call what you have down there the bush leagues come to the north east and you will see not only organized but worse is the disorganized variety. Much worse because there is no one in charge to control the mayhem :o
I be 'der, be 'der, be 'der, be 'der.
Ordered a .177 full tuned Bam B26-2 from MM at FD. Should be here Wedesday. It's coming in the high comb stock and I also ordered a extra low comb stock. Looked at a bunch of pics of it. I can shoot it left hand. Can't hide money , someone told me ;D

Was that a bet.
When you all are old like me you'll remember how you talked to me and you'll be ashamed. I just gave you the gift that keeps on giving, guilt.Guilt is for those with a capacity to give a cr@p. ;D

Munchkin is officially in the bulls-eye club. He is so excited
Thanks to the GTA people for being kind and supportive. Making a little boy happy today.
Just ordered a JDSairman Airforce regulator set to 1800 psi and the adapter to complete the FTT setup and increase shot count.
I'm good on guns for the next 24 hours. ;D

See Ya'll next month.... ;)
Yea Kevin what Jay isn't telling you is when he went down to put up some more clay pigeons, he moved the thing to where I couldn't see them from my shooting position, all I could see was the tops of the clothespins... ;)Oh I didnt move it Terry did...and we figured you wanted a challenge man let that tx shine.

Ok Yall, March 12th is the next shoot mark your Calendars....
Then lets look at the April 16th for the one after that....
I Looked at May, Mother's day is on the 8th and the Ky. shoot is the week after so lets shoot for May 21st...
June may get a little tricky as the school year comes to an end, but I am liking June 18th.
Terry, I got a Crosman .177 H9A series pumper pistol(13XX predecessor). I'm thinking remove the black paint and make it an all brass look.
Had a great time, guys. See you all next time. Food was great, thanks.
Looks like i'll be there this weekend, so I can bring your tank down, Al. The family may or may not be tagging along, the wife needs to find out if she will be working on saturday.
Still waiting for you to stop by Kevin.
Al, will you have the knife that Kyle worked on there?
I'll be bringing a couple of new toys to show off as well. ;)
I'm thinking some stress relief is in order and looking forward to the trigger time as always.
See everybody there.
Vanity

;D y'all southern boys are having altogether way too much fun down there in South Carolina.
;D y'all southern boys are having altogether way too much fun down there in South Carolina.
You need to come down here where all the cool kids live. But this kite flying weather ain't cool for shootin' 100yds.That just adds to the challange ;D ;D ;D I loved James Island and rented a house 1 block off the beach on Folly Island back in the mid 60's USS Albert T. Harris AS16
We'll be eating good tomorrow, here is a teaser.

;)
Unless someone needs air tomorrow, I'm not planning on bringing the compressor. If you're gonna need it, post up tonite and I'll check here before I go to bed.
Another Great day of shooting, pics to follow....;) Again I say y'all southern boys are having altogether way too much fun ;D ;D
What's the muzzle velocity like with the 7.9's.Average 873 fps high of 903
So I had a chance to test the Gamo Varmint Hunter HP yesterday and with Crosman 7.9G pointed it is shooting 13.7 FPE with a SD of 11fps but with JSB 10.34g its 11.7 FPE and SD of 4. After another 100 pellets through it I mounted the TF 3-9x32 scope on it to tighten up the groups. I'm getting 1/2" ctc at 27 yard with either JSB or Crosman pointed, the H&N FTT 8.64G best was 1" with 11.7 and a SD of 11 FPS. So needless to say Big Al has done it again with his skills and remains the GAMO MASTER 8) . I gave it to my son Jacob to try and he almost crapped himself when he pulled the trigger even after warning him to very careful with it. This is the first Tuned Gun he has shot and wasn't ready for it. :D ;D

I should be back to work mid-june! 8) AND I WON'T BE FREEZING!!! ;D
That (if nothing changes) lets me catch the upstate FT shoot, the next funshoot, mothers' day, and my daughter's 6th grade graduation. Another plus is I'll only be 5-6 hours from the house.
now which guns to take with me....... ::)

So that means I will join yall carrying the Diana 34 which is stupid accurate with the 14.66 H&N FTT pellet. I am shooting 1/2 " groups of 5 shots and more at 26 yards.

Can we do a ARH kit install on my diana then? I want it to be 100% for the NC championship on the 24th. It was shipped today, I purchased the GSX old school 12 fpe kit for it.
I would love to be there on Sat but I have season tickets for the Clemson Tigers and after last season I just can't miss a home game . Next time if God is willing and the creek don't rise. Y'all have fun!
I have My FlyinDragon PCP that I will sell for $80 with a 3-9x32 Optima Mil-dot scope if anyone wants it. shoots like its supposed to but I am not happy with it. I also have the Striker 1000S .25 with Wooden Stock and Sythetic stock for $120.
Yeah, you passed. You can come back. Just kidding. It was great meeting you, David. Look forward to seeing you there again.+1 you're good people David and you'll fit right in.
Thanks for the invite! I really enjoyed it and learned alot. It was nice meeting like minded folks. Yes, I mean crazy for air guns. So glad to find out that there are some people in the area who enjoy this wonderful activity. I look forward to coming to more if you will have me.
Oct 22 is the next shoot David so you can follow me there if you go.
You're just up the road from me and grimezee in Columbia. Unfortunately, I'm in VA for an indeterminate amount of time and probably won't get down to Cross until November.
Hi Guys,
Sorry I have been a little out of touch. Things kind of took a left turn around here and I haven't been at my computer much. I am looking forward to the shoot on the 22nd and getting to know some of you personally. As it stands right now, I will probably come down Friday and try to get a camp site at James Island. I have a friend who is a North Charleston police officer. Would it be OK to invite him out as well? I will be bringing my entire air arsenal, such as it is. I am still breaking in my Beeman, but it should be tolerable by then. I have to admit, it's not bad now. Truth is, I think it may be better than I am.
Hope things are getting better around there...
No problem bringing you friend...
I knew quite a few N. Charleston and County cops from back in my Navy days...
David, bring'em all. My arsenal want fit in my car. 20% and it's full. I'll bring some weird strange air guns. They're fun to mess with.
You goimg to thr N.C. A/G show in Hickory/Newton, N.C.?
Check out this link, David....

How did you folks make out w/Matthew? Hope all is ok.
Hope to be in the neighborhood a couple days early.....
Well, scrolling back answered my questions. I was wondering if Matthew's little, wild party might have changed plans for this weekend. Guess not. Good to hear! I am planning on coming down on Friday, and truck camping at Colleton SP, confirmed, for Friday and Saturday nights. I have just one problem...... I don't quite know exactly when and where to show up. I am looking forward to meeting you lot.
Really miss being there with all of you and hope to attend soon.
Happy shooting,
Al.
Bring your friends. We'll get them hooked on AG's as well. Thanks Tim, I am planning on bringing at least one friend, if he can get off. He is a N.Charleston police officer and a retired Navy marksman. I am gifting him a Beeman P17, and he will be using one of my rifles. Also my lady friend is trying to talk me in to bringing her. She is 65 and has never fired a gun, but she is now eager to learn.
Don, you are welcome anytime, I have enough room for you to park your RV out there.....Then there should be plenty of room for the Mustang and a tent ;) ;D
Eeeeeerrrr.....you know I'm gonna be there too, right?
And is 02:30 too early to show up?
In case you didn't catch this on the news-Thanks for the heads up on the coyotes, Terry. We have 4 packs running around here within about a 2 mile radius, and often hear solitaries. Looks like I need to break out the 12Ga and do a little swamp stomping.

Also, I may not be able to make the funshoot this month.

Sorry you won't be at the shoot. Looks like I may be bringing my brother with me this month.
That would be on the 10th next month Dave. 😊Gotcha! 2nd Saturday... The Saturday after I get back from The Peoples Democratic Republic of New York. I told my ex I had to be back in time for the shoot ;)
I finally broke down and purchased a true German FT gun last night. I bought a Walther LGU in .177 from AGD and applied the Sb10off code for a total cost of $386.WOW!!! Congratulations, Kevin! I am sure you will enjoy it!
I finally broke down and purchased a true German FT gun last night. I bought a Walther LGU in .177 from AGD and applied the Sb10off code for a total cost of $386.Oh man! My Bro is ill! He definitely has the fever, but I'll let him tell you about his new acquisition ;) (My brown eyes have turned green!)
Sounds like there's gonna be all kinds of new goodies to look at next month... 8) Can't wait to see 'em. I think you guys will like the CP-1Ms. I've got a couple of pages concerning them I'll make copies of for you guys. They have fewer moving parts than the 2240 and are real easy to work on.Roger on the new goodies. According to the videos I have seen, when you find the right pellet, they are dead accurate, too. I am almost almost afraid for Don to meet you; it could be hazardous to his health. He fired Al's BT65, and had to have a PCP. I wonder what will happen when he fires your Texan.....
See ya'll then.
Shootin' PCP is like kissin' your sister.
You're not the only Monster they have created......heheh
Your all weak! Errr I mean I'll see yall in a couple of weeks. 😆 I will be bringing the new Walther LGU, 34p, and Edge .25 cal to break in and setup the new custom made 5" focus wheel on the LGU.You're not the only Monster they have created......heheh
I am a master enabler.....
He fired Al's BT65, and had to have a PCP. I wonder what will happen when he fires your Texan.....
Oh yeah, bought a Scott 60 Min tank this morning.
you got a place to fill it? if not i can help you out.... ;)
If your tank is carbon fiber, it has a 15 year life cycle. If it's a 2004, there should be about 3 years left on it. Call the local fire safety place and have it looked at. Then you can bring it by and I can put a full fill on it.
I like the orange one, 1 XL and 1 XXL.
Just let me know when, or bring it to the funshoot. I can fill it there also.
Wife is making T-Shirts for the fun shoot.
I'm new to the thread but I'm in Pickens SC. I won't have either of my air guns up and running for the shoot unfortunately. Do you guys do a thread for photos and videos at the shoot?
I'm new to the thread but I'm in Pickens SC. I won't have either of my air guns up and running for the shoot unfortunately. Do you guys do a thread for photos and videos at the shoot?Hey Tyler... Don't let that stop you. I'll be bringing 3 or 4 guns, my brother will probably have his 3; I am sure if you come on down you won't have a problem finding something to to shoot. There is an outside chance I won't be there, but my guns will, and you will be more than welcome to shoot them. :) Hope I make it, but if I don't, enjoy my guns!
Everyone please bring their calendars so we can make a schedule for next year and have it ready by the January event.....
Well the wife has her work Christmas party that day but I'm going to be making plans around the next one. It's certainly a long drive but it'll be worth it to learn from y'alls experience!
Everyone please bring their calendars so we can make a schedule for next year and have it ready by the January event.....
Don't have any plans. I'm surprised I lived this long.
I was thinking, and that's always hazardous. Maybe we should come up with a small fee everyone kicks in at the shoots to pay someone with a tractor to mow the range when it needs it. With Al's permission of course.
Or we could have Grumpy, aka the Chuckster, bring one of his flame throwers.
When I get my trailer cleaned off,(need to take the pool to the recycle station) I could bring my rider mower. I need help getting it unloaded after I get the permit to recycle.
What time do you usually begin the shoot? Bringing a buddy and he has to be back here by 4, so we probably have to leave by 2. Hope the rain has cleared out by then.
I usually get there around 8:30, we usually pack up about 30 minutes before dark..
BTW. Both SCBA tanks came in. Camden Fire Extinguisher is hydro-testing them and can fill to 3800psi.
Glad they were able to help you out. I've had good dealings with them. You'll be good to go when you get them back. The Fittings are "in the Mail" along with my Lane regulator. Been a week on the fittings and 2 on the regulator. I guess the reg is coming by steamer.
I take it you got your fittings, also? ;)
Guys, will anybody be needing air?
Guys, will anybody be needing air?
I will..
I also am bringing food, the wife made a pot of Gumbo....
;D I will say nice rifle but my TX200 MK III is also a sweet shooter I would love to do a head to head comparison though ;) ;)
Next spring if I can pull off my final retirement in April I want to do some AG road trips and especially the GTA Fun Shoot;D I will say nice rifle but my TX200 MK III is also a sweet shooter I would love to do a head to head comparison though ;) ;)
So get your rear down here! ;D
;D I will say nice rifle but my TX200 MK III is also a sweet shooter I would love to do a head to head comparison though ;) ;)The trigger is better on the TX but the LGU is still very nice at 1.5lbs measured. JerryC has a TX here but it is a right hand stock and I'm a Lefty wich adds $150 to the TX cost.

There you see problem solved ;D ;D ;D;D I will say nice rifle but my TX200 MK III is also a sweet shooter I would love to do a head to head comparison though ;) ;)The trigger is better on the TX but the LGU is still very nice at 1.5lbs measured. Jay and Jeff will be joining us in January as well since the work brings them to SC for a while.

Yes.
We are down here near Hilton's Head island and I brought the AT 44 and the MACR.
:D
Unless my Greyhound dies, I'll be home this weekend. I'm up for it (dieing for it really), and I have no particular place to go till spring.... count me in!
We may have to schedule one before the next one so we can shoot more......
I know Tim will be up for it anyone else interested?
I've been told next Saturday is out of the question. Not even sure of Sunday, but I think it's negotiable. The following 2 weekends are the holidays, and I'll have a house full.
+1 :)I've been told next Saturday is out of the question. Not even sure of Sunday, but I think it's negotiable. The following 2 weekends are the holidays, and I'll have a house full.
Having a house full sounds like the perfect reason to come shoot....
You provide a place to shoot I'll be there.Ya the overnight temps down there are nowhere near what you are used to ;D ;D
31st is fine for me.
I can even crash in the van over nite if need be.
;D
I don't think we will be able to do it on Saturday, maybe Sunday, I have to do a craft show with the wife on Saturday.Wow shooting on New Years Eve! What a way to bring the New Year in with a bang! .... or a *pop*. I love the idea! You set it up and I am there with bells on!
I asked Jay what their plan was, they are working 7 days a week but the job site is shutdown for Christmas from 12/23 to 12/31. Anyone interested in the 31st?
I agree on the co2, I actually ordered a hpa conversion just because of the cold weatherI may give that some thought myself..... use a paintball butt bracket to mount the cylinder. I am afraid, though, that it would unfavorably alter the balance of the pistol. But hey, we usually have 10 months of good CO2 shooting weather.... Are you going to try to make it to the shoot on the 31st, Tyler?
I really do wish things had of worked out Guys.Just make a plan to see us sometime next year if that's possible. I am going to make a plan of going to the big PA event in Ohio next year as well. ;)
I had the MACR and the AT 44 with me.
:'(
Had a lot of fun today, y'all made for a fun day. Thanks.
Had a lot of fun today, y'all made for a fun day. Thanks.Good to meet you Robin! Glad you had a good time. Reckon that means we'll see you on the 21st. Till then, my friend!
So IF I can get the gun work done I'll be there...w/ my mower in tow. :)
I'll have a few with me also (more like 9-10). Having something to shoot is the least of your problems at the Low country fun shoot.
PS: Working on the schedule for the rest of the year, anyone have any weekends that they are not available for?

Not sure if we will be shooting in July or August do to the heat, what do yall think about this, If we do July 15th and
PS: Working on the schedule for the rest of the year, anyone have any weekends that they are not available for?
Al, I don't plan that far in advance. The shoots are my "big event" anyway. I'll make my plans around your schedule :)
I think we should shoot in July and August. For no other reason than to make sure we keep this thing going. Be there every month if a new comer wants to shoot, "join", learn the secret handshake. Not to be presumptuous, it's Al's land, maybe we'll be hosting a shoot and gun show one day. We already have the T-shirts. Maybe make a short day of it. 9am-1pm or till you've enjoyed all you can stand.+1

Hi I'm down here in Ga but I don't mind a drive. I love to shoot but nobody in my area into airguns (all powder burners) saw ya'll talking about a fun shoot in SC the 21st but couldn't find the time and place( I don't spend much time on GTA so i have a hard time following the treads) I'm a little better at shooting than the 'puter stuff
Gents, I am going to have to change the February shoot date to the 11th, a work conflict has risen. Sorry for any inconvenience...I'll be there whenever the gates are open, as long as I know in advance, lets say at least 3 days lead time.... I can go out to my range any time, but it is just fun to shoot with friends, and make new friends.
What town is that considered ? Gona try to make it out there on the 21st .

Tony you're over by Athens. I'm in Savannah. It's about 140 miles from here to Cross, S.S. Takes me about 3 hours. Google says you're about 225 miles from Cross. Sometimes I go up Saturday night and get a room.

Correctin: I meant S.C. not S.S. and I go up Friday night and get a room not Saturday night. I use to hate old people, now I are one.
Feb. 11th is good with me.

It's all good, Tim, everybody has a senior moment... ;)
Gonna give it my best to get to the shoot on the 11th..
Might be gunless and hitch hiking but I need to shoot and the 8th is my birthday, soooooo.....
I'm putting in for some vacation time covering that date range....

Y'all are horrible to the elderly.......Al, I started to call you a young whipper snapper, but decided not to, because Tim would probably call me one ;)
Oh, so you think old people are funny.
What's funnier, when they fall down or can't get up. Move to St. Pete, you'll get plenty of laughs.
Last heart attack I had I walked to the ambulance by god.
Only had to take two naps today.
I should be in Hanahan a few days early ...there's a new truck stop near here place so.now the powers that be are hinting they want me to drive the truck down and back instead of giving me 2 more days off for travel time.....not allowed to have "weapons" in the truck buuuut what about a guitar case or 2?.....I know it's all in how your company sees it, but airguns aren't considered weapons in the US. Having driven a truck for a number of years, though, I know what a stick in the mud DOT Cops can be, too (don't mention Connecticut to me)

Some states like NJ consider them as firearms, but not many. The problem isn't with the DoT it's with his company it's their rules that matter, Chuck I have plenty of guns and pellets and air you don't have to worry. If you need a ride let me know.
To bad that by low country you don't mean The low country....
Started packing my airrifle's and then I saw South Carolina instead of south Holland ;)
Started unpacking now, can't afford the plane ticket after buying 10 tins of jsb jumbo monster's this weekend... :P
See you guys soon in THE low country's..
The coffee is hot and the air compressed so when you're in the area...

Connecticut's not so bad. I pulled an 85000 lbs load of hardwood from New Hampshire to Marion, N.C. Dodged all them scales. It was Friday night, no going' back and havin' them pull a bundle off.
Forecast is for heavy rain on Saturday... :(
Bring money and buy more. ;DI doubt I'll get too bored..... It will be warm enough to shoot CO2. I'll be able to play with my pistola, but darn... I was so looking forward to sighting in my new scope.
which coupon did you use?
Hi guys... Just wanted to fill you in a little on what's going on. Don's wife is in the hospital with pneumonia. I am sure he would appreciate y'all keeping her in your thoughts and prayers. I don't know if he will be able to make it Saturday, but I expect I will see you fellows then.

I'll bring it Saturday, I also bought a 12" picatinny rail to cut and fit after I cut the handle down to the flats. I'm getting giraffe next trying to look through the scope that's 5" over the barrel. 😆
Tim, if the offer still stands, I could use that B1 sear. The neighbor has bitten off more than he can chew and won't know when he'll be able to finish it. Let me know what I owe ya for it. Thanks.
Have some questions since me and another person are thinking about attending for the first time in March. One, do you have a street address or better yet GPS coordinates where the get together actually takes place? Of the motels you list someplace, which has the best price or would any of them provide a convention type discount? I imagine you get quite a few PM, so is there another way to reach you with questions? After 5 hours in a car to get there, not being prepared is not a good idea. Thanks much!
Had a great time {as usual} thanks. Sorry about the poor spoons w/ all the holes in them.

The motels in Moncks Corner are further than the ones in Santee, I personally haven't stayed at any of them, I also haven't setup any event rates since we sorta just do this among friends, most people drive in the same day. You guys are coming from quite a distance so I would say look at the ones in Santee first right on I-95 at Hwy 6, that puts you about 19 miles from where we shoot and on the home side if you stay overnight. Another option is camping if you are up to it, let me know in advance and I will make sure that the people that I have watching the property know and you can pitch a tent on sight, wouldn't be the first one to do that...
Send me a message and I will send you my Cell number, it is on me all the time so you can can always get in touch with me.
Hope that helps..

It's not a formal.event.....a country show up and shoot....would be a good label for the format....nothing but room to shoot and like minded people doing the same....and the only thing special is the owner

My Gamo Swarm is supposed to be here tomorrow. I think it'll be better than my Mendoza repeater break barrels. Have to get Al to see which GRT trigger it'll take.GRT4 just like the Accu and the Varmint Hunter I have.
I took some lumber i had laying around and made a sawhorse type shooting gallery. It has holes drilled on the top for tees and paintballs or whatever will fit in the holes, and i am looking for other stuff to hang off the bottom. Right now i just have my little spinner hanging.
I'll bring the drill with me next month if anyone has something to mount to it. It's roughly 8' long so there should be no problems. I figure put it in the middle of the field and have at it.
Al, the new tanks are good to go.

Thanks for filling them.
Nice, is that a trigger up-grade or a trigger shoe?It is the factory trigger for that model year.
There's a new guy to GTA who's in Pawleys Island. You guys go to the new guy gate and meet and greet.
Benjie Ray aka Jacklegs.
See you guys on the 25th. I'll bring my new Swarm. Needs a GRT trigger. 2lbs 9oz is as low as I can get the stock one. Hint, hint Big Al.
Set aside 20+ guns, 6-7 stocks and some parts to take to KY.
Later you'alls, Tim
Alright then.... Are you going to the Deep Woods shoot this Saturday?
Lois would like to know if we can shoot on Saturday the 15th?Ok with me for the 15th
Lois would like to know if we can shoot on Saturday the 15th?
Grumble curses mutters...foiled again...can't get SC until mid April
I'll take the QB58
I'd like the h9a.....
I didn't want to miss out. I called Tim, and put my name on the Retay 135, and Norica Dragon. Can't wait till April!
I'll be there tomorrow. Trying to get packed up as I'm writing this.... ::)
So far, it doesn't look like there are going to be many of us there.
Looks like there are going to be at least four of us there, maybe one of the new guys that have been messaging me and possibly the preacher...
Sorry. Could not make the event due to the death of a neighbor/friend and funeral in Charlotte. A very strange situation. I had walked by Steve's house and saw him on his knees half way in the back seat of his car. Not wanting to interrupt his work, i didn't say anything to him. Didn't realize he was already dead. Another neighbor drove by about the same time and did the same thing, but she noticed he had not moved when returning several hours later. She called the fire department to check on him. He had probably died the day before.Looks like there are going to be at least four of us there, maybe one of the new guys that have been messaging me and possibly the preacher...
Have you heard anymore from OP? He sounded like he was in but then he stopped posting. Monstermaxx hasn't chimed in lately, either. Tim said he was bringing someone new, so yea, 4 for now.
Do you remember if the gong I made is still on the pile? If so, I'm going to attach it to the sawhorse/target I'm bringing. Any tees and paintballs are needed also. If anyone has an 1 1/4" spade bit, I'll bring my drill and then we can put up bottles.
I am wondering how the travel plans are going for the Kentucky trip. Since Don wont be going, I have room for one more rider, and gear, plus room for some community gear in my Yukon....
Any han e on the 15th?.....we're heading down on wedsenday the 12th, so we're gather up stuff to bring now...How about it Al? I definitely plan to be there the 22nd, but if you want to bump it to the 15th to accommodate Chuck & Lois, I'm game. I will be there if you say the word. Hopefully Tim will make it. I am champing at the bit to pick up my new rifles ;)

I can do the 15th or 22nd.
No I had to rent a Hobbit to rest it on his shoulder. 😂If my shoulder doesn't soon heal up, I may need a referral to Rent-A-Hobbit. It's tough to shoulder my Beeman at 9#
10:30 almost everyone is here...
Going to be a great day shooting...

Are we still on for tomorrow? It will be my last one until Nov. I'm heading to W.VA on the 22nd.

Far as I know, yes.
SO what time tomorrow?
I'll be there around 8:30-9:00. Gonna have to leave early. It's gonna be a springer and pumper day for me. Do we have targets for the sawhorse?
Awesome! Did you shoot for it or win the raffle? Cool either way. A good showing for the Lowcountry Funshooters.
I can't do September 16th, We will be gone from the 8th to the 19th.
How Does the 23rd work? Anyone have any conflicts there?
23rd is good for me.
What's the Fall Classic?
If it ain't raining' it ain't trainin'.
If it ain't raining' it ain't trainin'.
Why didn't I see that one coming?.... LOL
I have ammo for the Dragon Claw so I am going to be playing with it tomorrow...
2 pm still no rain but the gnats are thick as a cloud....

Gee, thanks, Al... You didn't have to rub it in TODAY, did you? LOL
Why yes I did, never trust the weatherman.....
I just have to say that I am amazed that it didn't rain one single drop all day today. Who da thunk it...... 😁

I bet red; it landed on black
Very nice with the canon.
goober is as goober does...i don't take tanks indoor....cause I ain't lugging em around that much!
Gotta love it when people think they know more than they do. I probably would have been banned from the place, but they would have gotten an earful before I left.
I am going to be heading out to the property tomorrow to try to cut the grass some and shoot the Dragon Claw at longer range.....
there's no acceptable reason to not shoot a Dragon Claw
there's no acceptable reason to not shoot a Dragon Claw
... Unless the Range Master is afraid a poly-fiber tank is going to explode and kill innocent people. I still can't believe that one...
Get better Dave, we'll be there when your ready.
Hope you feel better Dave. Take care of yourself.
Sorry I couldn't make it yesterday, promised wifey I'd take her mountain bike riding. Looks like I'm out for the August shoot too as it's on family gathering day up in Indiana.
I think September 16th is good, and I'll bring the mower too ifn' it's needed.
Dave, wifey and I actually had that conversation today while walking in the park.
Don't know if you remember, but we had a bad motorcycle wreck a year and a half ago, then last year this time she had fusion surgery of c5/6 as a result of the mtc accident. Then in January she gets rear ended by some idiot who was texting and driving 100mph.
She has back and neck problems and just can't hold a gun (or her camera) for long periods of time. Combined with she doesn't really love guns to begin with it's hard to get her excited about coming out to the field with a bunch of boys and shooting.
Maybe she'll like the pistol I'm currently on the 'hunt' for, but tipping her head over for a rifle scope, not so much.
The 3 day thing, can I bring an RV trailer? Park along the back there where we normally park?
I can at least bring the mower and cut the grass. 8)
IDK if the ATV and mower will fit in the trailer, but if they do, we could spray for ants too. I've got a 25gal sprayer on the ATV.
I am not going to make rash promises about being there on the 11th. I think I have learned my lesson there, but I am really going to try! Just curious, Al... how many RSVP's do you have for October? If you get many that want to camp, and space turns out to be a problem, Santee State Park is pretty close, will still be open, and pretty much in off-season mode. Should have plenty of sites available... That could help out those who want to save money by camping.
Miss Baby's coming with me on the 12th. We're going up to Clayton, Ga Tuesday for a couple of days then leave there for Summerville Friday. See you guys then.
Hey, kind of curious about the outlook for next Saturday with Irma coming to visit. Looks like she'll hit Savannah at Cat 3 visiting Tim, and still be just as mad when she drops in on Al. You guys gonna be OK? She may still be a wet hen when she hits Columbia area...

That's what I said, next weekend, in the aftermath of the hurricane... Storm should hit Tuesday. That could leave a big mess for next weekend. I WILL be there if you guys are. I have been missing too much... I am tired of being out of the good times!
<<<URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT>>>
Last Minute cancellation of this weekends shoot, I have a family emergency I have to take care of in another state and will be gone until next week.
Awesome, I have a few new toys to show off and My tanks need filling finally. :-)
I'm for that, $5-10 each month should help.
First time could be $40-80 per shooter or what ever you can you can afford, then a little each month for later. Mow it 3-4 times a year.
I want to make the three day event a big deal every year in Oct...
For this one if Robin can come down before the 13th then great, if not I will have to find someone to cut it...
It will cost at least $100.00 for the initial cut, then I will try to spot treat the fire ants after it get cut...
I will try to find someone in the next couple of days to come out and take a look to give me a solid price, normally I wouldn't ask or expect anyone to help with this part but the job search still continues for me...

Let me know if you see something in My signature your interested in and we can talk.
Ok Tim, sales only this time around. My Dad is in bad shape and I need to liquidate some of the collection.
Are we shooting Friday, Saturday and Sunday?
I guess this is a follow-up to Tim's question... Just what is the schedule of events? I would hate to arrive too early, or worse yet, too late! Of course I am open for all day on Friday.... I am planning on truck camping. I learned my lesson about tents and old bones back in May LOL

Get an air mattress it makes things much better....
Mine got the Murphy seal of approval back in May...
We could nix Friday, shoot Saturday as usual and talk about Sunday.
Al, were you able to get it mowed?
I won't be there this weekend. My Dad is on hid death bed and Brenda and I are on our way to RI.
So, Al, Is Friday out completely? Show up on Saturday morning, as usual? Come prepared to overnight, but be open to change?
David,
It would probably just be the two of us on Friday, I plan on going out there Friday afternoon and doing some setup and making things ready for Saturday and Sunday....
If anyone else wants to show up on Friday afternoon let me know..
You know... If a barbecue sounds too much like work to be too much fun, we could all adjourn to a fish camp or barbecue shack for a good dinner among friends....

Both sound like a plan for Saturday, I can either bring the grill or we can go out to eat, there are a few really good BBQ places around there..
I'm still planning on Saturday. If none of the other women are planning to show, mine will probably stay home, too. I haven't seen anything more from Kris about her coming up.
Still trying to figure out how I'm going to get everything packed.
What time you guys getting out there friday afternoon?
My Dad passed away @ 1250 this morning. Thank you all for the well wishes.
My Dad passed away @ 1250 this morning. Thank you all for the well wishes.
just Al, Tim, Terry, Robin and me, myself and I made it for sat with Al, Tim and I for Sunday
things were a bit subdued without Kevin's exalting his 100 yard groups and 1100fps pcps
and I think Al kept quiet about it being his birthday so I wouldn't show with a half dozen strippers to embaress him...smart guy there that Al is...
I am bringing some exploding golf balls next week to do the 100 yard challenge with a spring or gas piston gun. We'll see how many of us can get it done.
Bring some money, I'll make some Christmas deals. 😁
The way my luck has run the last few months, I won't make any rash promises, but Don and I are planning to attend next weekend.
does anyone have a nice pistol scope I could try out?
I got another one of the PP700S-A in .22 and it needs optics.
Might get another red dot like I have on the .177, but I am having issues w/ it. I think it's because I had LASIC and this is supposed to turn bright lights into stars and halos. Which is what I see. I don't see a dot, I see a big smudgy smear. It gets better when I turn the brightness way down so I don't think it's the optics itself.
Anyway, I'd like to try a pistol scope and see how that works. If anyone has one I could try I'd really appreciate it.
On another note...how's the grass? Do I need to bring the mower?
Making my plan for the weekend.
Is it lawnmower or no lawnmower. Happy to bring it, just let me know.
If I don't get to see y'all, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Safe Shooting!
It costs about 1mpg to drag it behind Silver, maybe less. AND I got a j.o.b., so I can afford it now.
Please don't let that be the reason not to bring it.
I'm happy to bring it and mow the place. Though this time I'll do my best to remember to fill it with gas, lol.
Well I'm taking the old girl home today, she has progressed greatly and is walking with the assistance of a walker...
PT at the house for a few weeks then back to the Dr.
I got a chance to talk with my friend the other day about some more targets for our get-togethers. He said to let him know what we wanted and how many. He'll cut them out of 1/4" A36.
If anyone has ideas, let me know. I was thinking some more rockers. He already has files for silhouettes and can scale them larger to work on rockers. He's also got more rabbits and I think a couple different squirrels. If you have a picture of something you want as a target, send it to me and I'll convert it.
Once they are done, I'll collect them up and bring them down when I get the chance. One thing we need to consider is that the consumables for his machine probably ain't cheap. He hasn't made mention of any kind of payment for this, but a donation would probably go a long way for his efforts.
Any thoughts, ideas?
They're okay, but they're hard to skin and when you cook'em they taste like rusty nails.

David, on you B4 what does (WIP) mean?
Dave, have you found any pictures of coyotes you would like me to use?Hey Terry,
And if anyone else has ideas for targets, let me know. Sometime next week I'll start putting a package together to send him for cutting out.
Dave,
I like those...
Weather looks good for tomorrow. Im planning to come down. Do I need to bring mower? Anyone from greenville area need a ride?

Well heck Chuck, anybody can shoot that thing. Don't forget to bring your Hatsan 155 and B3 so you can remember what real shootin' all about.
Just kiddin'. Nice gun!
I received Godzilla yesterday and shot it some this morning after I adjusted the trigger to my specs. All I can say about the 135 QE .30 cal is UNBELIEVABLE!!! first three shots from a sitting position and elbow on the knee at 20 yards were in the same hole with the open sights. I adjusted to get the bullseye and proceded to put the next 5 in the bullseye. I have never shot any of my airguns like this and got that result. I can't wait till the 17th so I can stretch its legs.
How many rounds you have through it? I may keep it open sites for a while now. I want to see how it does at 50 yards on open sites.I received Godzilla yesterday and shot it some this morning after I adjusted the trigger to my specs. I was shooting off a bipod and getting great results. Even though I couldn't see the sights real well I was able to stack a few at 25 yds. This is one awesome gun to shoot.

Growin old aint fer sissys lol
Growin old aint fer sissys lol
Yep, Growing old is tough... The corollary... Only the tough get old. The older you are, the tougher you are. Guess I'm not so tough after all. ;)
Sweet! If you need a place to store it, I volunteer mine...... ::) ;D LOL
Anyone interested in buying my Dragon Claw, Less the Scope?
Anyone interested in buying my Dragon Claw, Less the Scope?
of course I'm interested....as usual
He did, at the end of the last page. 😁
Hopefully the weather holds. I finally have a chance to come shoot again.
Al, Are you planning to attend the GTA fun Shoot in Arkansas ?? If so I look forward to meeting you face to face finally ;D
The forecast is calling for rain and thunderstorms through Tuesday. Probably of the afternoon and evening variety mostly, but you can never tell, the way the weather has been lately. Looks like at best, it could be a short day. BTW, I am still not able to drive the distances, so I won't be there anyway.
Hitch a ride with one of the other guys from Columbia...
I'll be in Beaufort for a job sometime in the next few weeks!
:D
Let Me know whenI'll be in Beaufort for a job sometime in the next few weeks!
:D
Jeff,
Our Next shoot is scheduled for June 16th, if you are here then let me know, if not we can possibly get together before then to shoot.
I'm sure Tim will show up, don't know about the other guys...
I have a new toy and plan to be there in June.
Spoons have no chance against new toy, bring plenty of extra...lol
Any guns you would like to see there when you come? I don't have enough room in my truck for all of them. :).
Am I going to need to bring the compressor?
Sounds like someone got a new double tube... 😉😎
Do I need to bring the mower?
Awesome. I guess this means we're famous now. Did you warn them about the heat? 😉
What would a quilt cost?
Ok guys, I seem to be having a senior moment. Did I happen to give anybody a carbon fiber ldc? I've been looking for it and I can't seem to find it. It was the one on the 2240 before the conversion. At this point, I'm just looking for peace of mind.
Glad to see our group growing. I got your tank filled today. Did you happen to look in your bag? I still can't remember what I did with it.
see what happens when i turn my back for a few months....

Possibly for me.
Brenda and I should be there, she will have started her retirement leave the day before.
OH, that's great, I had a conflict on the previous Saturday and couldn't come. Now that it's on the 25th I can make it. Yeah!
Brenda and I will be in Arkansas for our Sons wedding that weekend. Just found out tonight.

Charles,
Hi, I'm new to airguns and to this forum but I hope to come up and join ya'll for the October Fall Shoot. I plan to meet up with LEFTEYESHOT before then, as he is in Savannah, and get some pointer as to your agenda. I have a Diana 54, 56Th and a Crosman 2300S. I was hoping to come up this month but retirement keeps me busy and I had already made other plans. Looking forward to meeting everyone and hopefully get some pointer on this new to me sport.......

A friend's wedding is that day, I guess I'll see you in October
I have a friend's wedding to go to today so I can't make it.
Looking into October though. If I were only able to attend 1 day which would it be? Saturday?
Al, are you going to do field target? I just put a deposit on a .177
If I did bring the camper, could you bring the stuff needed to upgrade the HW98 and do it there?
Can I ask you to hold one for me, please?
Robin,I have not yet gotten it out. Needs to be washed and de-winterized.
We rented a camper trailer for the weekend, are you bringing yours?
Anyone else staying at the property?
I am making plans to be there. I will be camping out of my Yukon. I'll probably plan on eating in one of the fine local establishments. BTW, what is a good arrival time on Friday?
Hows conditions down there? Should I bring my waders. :)
Looks like you guys are having some fun may have to come to one of these again
Hey Guys,
Don and I are making tentative plans to be down there for the November shoot. I'll be bringing my new XS60C. I was so busy today, I didn't get to even try it out till about dusk. I only put about 5 shots through it. What a shame. All I can say is, you get a lot of rifle for the money! I am not kidding. It shoots circles around the Varmint! I don't know how much of that is the rifle, and how much is Mike's Magic (trademarked) ;) Downsizing my rifles, I traded my Torpedo 105 to Don for the side lever he bought from Kevin. Keeping it all in the family. LOL I am stubbornly hanging onto my Striker 1000.
Hi, everyone. Took like I will make it this weekend for the shoot. I plan on bringing my Big Blast Bottle Caps and a hand held compressor. So If you want to make some BIG BOOMS save your pop (soda) bottles (water bottles do not work) and bring them this weekend. Looking foward to meeting everyone.
Charlie,
I just noticed that I'll be on the road home the day of the next shoot. Chances are I'll be coming down I-95. Depending on what Maps says, I might be able to stop by to at least say hi.
If I recall, I think the turn off to get there is above 20. If not, I know I'll be there for Feb.
I'll have to see what happens. I would like to at least get a few rounds out. I brought my prod with me and hope to run over and see Walter next weekend. I haven't pulled a trigger since the last funshoot I was at.
It's kinda miserable seeing all these targets flying around and not being able to pin 'em down. I saw a flock of starlings that had to have at least 50,000 individuals in it.
Hoping y'all managed to stay dry.I was an awesome day with no wind to speak of.
Thanks for the invite , my wife and will definitely be coming to some of these meets , can’t make the December one as we just have too much going on . We are only about 2.5 hours away and I used to make this a day trip when I was working , and she loves Charleston. If you have anybody taking any video for YouTube please post a link , would love to see ! Even some pics would be cool ! Y’all enjoy , and don’t shoot your eye out !
I'll be there in spirit. February can't come fast enough.

Dave of course you can click Al's link to see this one. Just google 'you tube air gun angie' and you'll see a bunch of'em.
Anyone coming to the Sportsman's Classic?
Definitely depends on when. Awesome idea. I was thinking of getting in touch with someone in Fla if I could find work there.
I REALLY want to go, but baby just arrived.
tbd for me...
I've been trying to get back down there for over a year. The friend that came with me before has lost interest. I've had some kind of medical or personal conflicts with the last dates. May and June look the same but I may be able to do July 6. I have a few guns I won't be using and maybe a Shoebox and Guppy. Would it be ok to mention those again before the July meet if someone is interested?

Lois has asked 5 times if we are going to make the Fall Classic, I'm working towards just exactly that, but she wants to take a week off in Sept and that's gonna make getting another week off in Oct too a tricky proposition, but she does have the vacation time available soooooo....
Hey Robin. I finally caught up with Will P today. I was up at his house and your gun is in his shop. He should be calling you soon. Be well my friend!I talked to Will P, told him to go ahead with 'The Works'. got a VM the other day from him, but when I called it said they were on vacation. So I guess we'll talk when he gets back, but I assume it was to tell me it's done. Will you see him before Sept? Would you be willing to give it a ride, I'll get it paid for and all? I just hate shipping gunz. You just never know what they'll do to one.
Thanks for the invite! don't believe I'll be able to make though. Appreciate the invitation though! Shoot-em straight!
time off in October has been approved for Lois and I....now the wait to see if it actually happens

I got word this morning that I'll be heading back to MD on Monday. I was kinda hoping for my little break to last another week so I could make the shoot this month, but I really need to put some money back in the bank. This year has not been kind to our wallet. What with Judy's wreck, the kid starting to drive, and my workshop finally being finished.
The next chances of me being around will probably be Thanksgiving and Christmas timeframes, unless there is another shutdown. I'll see you guys again sometime.
I know its been a while and I havent forgotten about you guys. I will try to make it when I can.
I created a FB group for our Low Country Fun shoots...

Kevin, what are the part numbers for the Crosman spring and guide you use in B3's? Another guy in the China gate wants to know. They have the right spring but not the guide. Later, Tim.
What time do the festivities start Saturday folks?

Hi guys, Don and I are definitely on for next Saturday, and I invited a friend. She has never fired an airgun, though that is subject to change between now and then. I am going to loan her a rifle for squirelling. She is well experienced with PB's. BTW, Don and I each have some new hardware to show off...
When is the next 'day', I don't see Jan+ on the page.

I want be coming till this virus thing is over. I'm not worried about you guys, it's getting there. I quit my job Sunday. We're getting groceries delivered and going to let them set 24 hours and wipe down stuff for the fridge. Push the mail from in front of the door and mail slot and let it set a day.
I'm 69 and Miss Baby's 84. I can't bring this home. I've heard if you have to be put on a ventilator you're probably thru. Besides number of cases and dead it would be nice to hear how many are recovering.
The way the feds. and states have bungled this I doubt it's over by Labor Day.
You all take care of your selves.
I don't know how I missed you guys. I shoot with Al in Cross, S.C. I live on the east side of Savannah near Skidaway Rd. It's about 130 miles for me. 2 1/2 to 3 hour drive. Come on up if you're interested. But with the virus don't know when we'll shoot again. Just check the threat Al gave you.
Hey folks,
Had a great time last time I got out there, had some life changes that slowed me down and maybe sped me up too in the long run. Hoping to get back down to shoot with yall again soon. Dont know if I can make it this comming weekend but will see what I can do. Thanks again for the hospitality and makinf me feel like one of the group immediately.
Deadeye Ice
Ps: Does anyone know where i can find some JSB Exact .30 cal 44.75g pellets? Everywhere i looks seems 5o be out of stock.
You'll gonna' shoot this weekend at Cross? If so, thought I might come.
I won't make it there until Saturday.

We have a Jan. date yet?
Guess I'm not coming this month. My doctor, wife and the step-daughter doctor say I shouldn't. I don't remember telling you guys last month I have had trouble with dizziness. Turns out not inner ear. I must have had a mild stroke a couple of months ago that caused the dizziness and another mild stroke a couple weeks ago. The dizziness stopped but now I see double with both eyes open. It's in the right eye. That's the bad one anyway. If I close my right eye or wear a patch no double vision. Ben to the ER, ENT doctor, MRI, CT scan, etc. Guess I'll shoot out back this weekend. Later, Tim

I will add it to my calendar. Need to try a new 25 Avenger at longer range than I can achieve in my back yard.
Al,
I hope you get better quickly. My mom and son and son-in-law all got Covid-19 and all recovered without complications or any hospital visits. My mom is 86. My son still can't smell much but my daughter in law decided that was a good reason for him to change all the dirty diapers :).
Thanks for the update. I have purchased all the pieces to have a charged up tank with me if you delay a week. But if you need more time that would be completely understandable (I am the guy who showed up in the little convertible with a Prod and hand pumped it). I have a 25 Avenger now and it takes a lot more pumps to recharge.
Jim
Ok Y'all,
I'm feeling much better but with the construction going on at my place in Cross we will not be shooting this month. Over the next couple of weekends I will be out there cutting trees and moving dirt to make a Berm for us to shoot into so as not to send lead into someone else's property. This coming Saturday will be a work day if anyone wants to come down and lend a hand.
The next shooting day will be May 15th if we get the Berm built.
Thanks
Al Guenther
Still no berm built, I had to fly to Arizona to take care of mom for a week so that set me back again in the progress.
I will try to arrive about 10am. I'll bring my little chain saw in case it will be helpful.
New Dates going forward:
June 19th.
July 17th.
Going to try to work on the Berm more as we go will be getting some dirt delivered soon I hope.
Chuck, if you are looking for more regular home time and looking for a new gig, I would highly recommend Ard Trucking, out of Darlington. Had I not been forced into retirement, I would still be driving for them. Pay, benefits, and equipment were top notch!
Perfect! Wife is having her annual party on the 20th. You guys are invited if you want a weekend trip.
just to catch up, i quit schneider july 14th, called Land Air who also works the same Target distribution center i had been working out of for 6 years while i was with schneider.....so same job at the same place for different company that pays better, has a better management and is far more "drivers have lives" accommodating
Guys, I won't be making the shoot this month. I will be attending my cousin's Memorial Service.
Hey man, do you have a trigger guard for a Crosman Storm/Quest/Optima/Vantage? I think they're all the same. I have an extra stock from when I put one of my Storms in a Benjamin thumb hole stock. Geno gave me a Crosman G1 Extreme and I want to put it in the Storm stock after I refinish it but I need a trigger guard. You have one you'd part with or better yet do you have a nice wood stock. If yes I'll buy it from you.
See you tomorrow at the range.
Oh yeah, I'm gonna want you to install a GRT trigger in the Extreme sometime, if you would be so kind. Later Beau.
I meant that post to be a PM. Old people.
Just ordered the trigger guard for the Storm stock.
Hey guys if you'd like to shoot at my 'exploding' plinking targets send me a mailing address and I'll get some to you.

Like Tim Said, Each fall we have a long weekend shoot, usually around my Birthday..
Dec 18th
If we are not snowed in or raining too bad I will be shooting..
I'm not coming. Not going to drive 6 hours round trip and be cold. How often do they call for snow around there.
Thanks for the warm welcome Tim!
I will be working Feb. 19. I hope I can make it in March.
That is quite a collection of guns you have there! Very impressive.
I have exactly one gun. I don't expect that to last very long!
We're kind of enablers when it comes to people getting more guns.....
Anything in my list will be there if you want to shoot something different.
Enablers...hmmm.....sounds kind of dangerous to me!
We'll take REAL good care of you!!! LOL
We'll take REAL good care of you!!! LOL
That is what I am afraid of!
Bring it on. Where in GA. are you? Have you shot with us before? Looking forward to seeing you. I'm in Savannah. Later Beau, Tim Ward.
Nice meeting everybody, hope to make it out again more often.
I'll try (but fail) to remember everybody's name for next time. Well, at least one or 2 people at least.
We still shooting on 4/16?
I wish I could be there. Kid's graduating, on a Saturday of all things. Now that we're done with the school thing, maybe I'll have a little extra for guys that have stuff to sell LOL.
Tim, I got a few things for you the next time I see you.
I use to hate old people, now I are one.

Al, Did you intend the Oct fun shoot to be 4 days?
Could I just come Saturday Oct. 15?Yes, of coarse. I can't go till Saturday morning. I plan getting there about 0930 hrs.
It's going to be a windy day tomorrow, hope to see as many of you as possible.....\
Wish I could've been there today, but didn't home until 3am this morning. Work, traffic, plus a funeral on the way back held me up. I'll try to bring the pistols next time, Tim.
Another great day shooting out here in God's country..
Hope to see y'all in September.....

Hey, you all. Got a date for September yet?
NOTICE TO ALL GTA MEMBERS:Sounds like fun. I'm sorry I will miss this one. I just made an arrangement to Hunt Berry College WMA those days and roll around in the floor with my 11month grandson wihile my Son and DIL go on a date those evenings :-)
You are gladly invited to join us here in the South Carolina Low-Country for 2-days of nothing but Air-Gunning, Air-Gunning and more Air-Gunning at "Als' Low Country Fun-Shoot"! ;D
The event is scheduled for Saturday the 2nd and Sunday the 3rd from sun-up to sun-down!
The Fun-shoot will take place at Al's (OleTomCat's) property out in the country, so there is no water or electrical hook-ups, so for those that would like to camp out or bring an RV, you must bring your own water and power supply!
There will be some contests and plenty of plinking targets to shoot at!
This will be a great time to show off your Air-Gun Arsenal and check out the Air-Guns of others!
It is advisable that you bring your own folding table, tent/canopy and chairs!
For directions or a map on how to get there, please PM OleTomCat/Al and he'll send you a map!
For more details, please PM myself or Al (OleTomCat) and we'll get right back to you asap! :D
Happy/Safe Shooting,
Al.

I'm not coming tomorrow. Backs hurt. Elbow swollen and infected, had to have it drained. See you all next month for a couple of days at least. Later, Tim.
I'm planning get a room in Santee Friday night and shooting Saturday and Sunday.
Our first shoot of the fall is going to be in Sept 14th.

November 9th.
December 14th.
January 11th.
February 8th.
March 8th.
April 12th.
May 10th.
If I can pull it off this week, I may have a new airgunner on the hook. And if successful, I might be able to convince him to come to the shoot this Saturday and bring me with him. Pretty much depends if his wife has other ideas for his time or not.
