Title: Short Final Take on TitanGP .22 From Wallly World Tune
Post by: gene_sc on November 20, 2010, 07:22:49 PM
Well the Titan GP is done and it is a bit different than the original Titan GP I purchased from Wally World a couple months back.

Here is a list of mods etc. Done to her.

1. CDT GRT-III Trigger installed and adjusted.

2. New Custom brass washers made for breech pivot

3. New NP - GRS Kit installed.

4. New shroud custom built for Titan Barrel

This gun is going up for sale as soon as I clean her up.

5. A complete Tune from front to back.

6. Replaced wood thumbhole stock with synthetic panther stock.

Run over 150 Gamo 14.5 gn pellets through her before the chrony testing.

Chrony resutls and trigger pull weight follows.

Very smooth cocking and shooting cycle.

She turned out great bro and sure she's a dream to shoot. Those numbers look great and plenty for the hunters out there. Ed

GENE! I think many of us may be interested in what, how and where; for parts on that barrel shroud. I have a spare shroud for my npxl, but quickly noticed the titans lack of threaded barrel. So only 2 of the 3 shroud parts would fit. whats your secret boss?!! =)

Nice rig Gene.
Did you mean Phantom stock? If it is a Phantom stock and the Titan fits, will the gas ram fit in the Phantom reciever?

I am interested in a Titan but, I don't see the pre-tune chrony numbers...maybe I missed where you put them.

Let me say first up that I do not want to decry the skill and effort put into this gun.
Could you please give an indication of the purchase cost of the rifle and the cost of the extra bits that have been included in the remake? Then of course there is the time at some dollars per hour for labour; or perhaps that should be counted as zero just for the love of doing it.
My point is that for many people a project like that indicates that they bought the wrong gun in the first place and would have been better off buying a Diana or a Weihrauch or something else.

Dear Sir, once upon a time, I designed and developed parts for air rifles to enhance and increase the overall cocking and shooting cycles. It was done out of pure pleasure of the sport/hobby and to find he best performance possible out of each and every air rifle I worked on. The development and design of he CNC Gas strut bushing and CNC Brass stabilizing pivot washers come from my pocket and later on sold at a fair market price plus shipping to USA only. I no longer make the Delrin Gas Strut bushing but still have access to the CNC Brass pivot washers.

You may enquire pricing structure at: cdt@airguntoys.com plus shipping.

Hope this answers your questions.

Darrell... look at the pics... there is a velocity chart there.
He asked for pre-tune numbers.  Likely they can be found somewhere else but rifles vary...

On some tunes it is impossible to set a pre tune due to air rifle condition or damage.

Ayup.  My D48 had a broken spring when I shipped it to you.  It came back shooting pellet on pellet, thank you very much.

The numbers are likely available if he searches the web.  Surely that will be close enough.
