Just going to throw this at yawl. In comparing the Hatson 125 springer to the WFH Nitro I have set them side by and with out tearing them down they look really the same. In shooting they both have the same twang sound. The cocking effort to me is about the same other than the nitro seems to have a slight bit more resistance in the brake over at the last of the stroke. I account this to the nitro piston reaching its full power and the design of compression. The Hatson has more of a twist when shooting than the WFH. Now the Hatsan is .25 and the WFH is .22. Really I don't see that much difference other that the twist. The shot cycle seems much shorter in the WFH than the Hatsan. The Hatsan stock has more meat in the forearm area than the WFH. On the WFH the stock in the forearm area is flexing where as the Hatsan seems solid. Both guns are powerhouse guns and straight shooters. I can see both these guns as scope eaters. I love the way the .25 cal. shoots. I know it is slower FPS wise but when it makes impact it has a thud. Blackbirds are sweep off their feet and even pushed backwards on impact. Daylight shines through the board fence where I croned the gun. Some of the spent pellets in the trap have spread out the size of a dime. Not hard to figure out the difference in which one is the .25. I have no issue with the thumb hole and the safety. Only problem that I have being an RWS PERSON IS THE SAFETYS work the opposite. Push one in and pull the other out to take it off safety. One other thing that I had never tryed was to uncock the gun OR LETS SAY DECOMPRESS THE SPRING on the WFH like you can on some other guns such as the RWS. You can not do this on these guns so if you don't want to leave the gun cocked you wile have to discharge the gun. I would buy anther Hatsan or walther. I will buy me another .25 of some sort for sure. Have fun with your new HATSAN and be safe.

Mike,
You should have learned by now that no project is ever really "completed" and it usually generates "new" ones along the way . . . LOL !

This has nothing to do with the guns but I have noticed much more irregular pellets in the .25 ammo.

That may just be due to the particular manufacturer . . . What make and model of .25 caliber pellets are you using ?

thanks for that cool review. I have 12 types of .25 pellets now, and they all look real good. They came from PA and AGD.

"In shooting they both have the same twang sound."
Fang, are you saying that a spring powered Hatsan, and a Gas Piston WFH, both have spring twang?
-
To me they sound the same. TWANGGGGGGG. As to the pellet brands there were several. Mainly in the skirts and the way the center of the skirts are not being centered. Could be that this being a much larger pellet you can see more of the detail vs smaller cal.
-
I notice, with both my Hatsan made rifles with the SAS, they have the same strange twang sound that is different than other springers I has shot. It might be the SAS making the twang and not the spring.

you will love the wfh bob it is awesome, i will send you two longer trigger screws when I return your items with instructions for adjusting the new trigger screws you are going to love it/ my wfh cronied at 958 fps in .22 when I checked it after i received it.

Those are good #'s depending on the pellet. Mine is in the mid 9's and High 8's still depending on the pellet. The walther is tough. Bringing my back to life after by barrel mishap. A weld repair and chop job and gun shoots as good as it did. You can buy a talon with the nitro for $299.99. Same gun as the Hatsan 125 and WFH. They throw in the TWANG for free.

Mike,
Since Pyramyd Air calls it a "Nitro Piston", I imagine it is the Trail NP XL's gas ram . . .

That will be cool Mike.. Im really impressed by the velocity! I was expecting more along the lines of mid 8's.. That kinda smokes my 350 feukraft!

Tarheel I thought the same thing. They had to use what ever Crosman had already put in production. I agree that the mod should be better.
