We finally got the SS valve done and into the Kral puncher breaker and boy were we surprised!!! We went from 45FPE with Two stiff springs to 73 FPE with the stock spring!!! The trigger is now light and crisp also due to the light spring and we shaved off quite a few ounces also and no more broken valve stems either . We had to back the stock spring adjuster almost out of the gun and turn the power adjuster down to get to 50 FPE LOL. We will run strings with a regulator and without shortly stay tuned. 983 with stock spring and 34 grain JSB pellets porting was .190 threw exhaust port to barrel. We didnt even crank it full bore as we were scared it might break the sound barrier and get the law down on us.

"dang"!
-
I'm all eyes and ears, y'all.
That is very encouraging news!
Any guess what kinda power such a valve would give a Puncher NP-01 in .25?
Seems like 40 fpe would be do-able, if I am guessing correctly..
And that would be one bad-azz upgrade, nice!
-
You have my attention. Puts them back on my radar in a big way!
-
Nice work Travis, and was wondering when the Kral testing results would get out.
I can't wait to send you my .22 PB for more work + one of the new valves, let me know when this can become a reality, please put me in line for an upgrade as soon as you're ready...
-
Great, now I've got something else to buy.
-
Lol ... how cool is that ? ............................................ VERY COOL !!!
-
Congrats Travis, that is a sweet valve! !
-
Woo-Hoo!!! Nice!
And thanks Travis for your help on the Huma Reg. Today. Got E'r Did. ;) 8)

Anytime, it was my pleasure talking with you today.

That's really amazing and not having to beat up the lever, hammer and valve. Please put me on your list for the kral and marauder.
-
That looks a lot like the valve in Jkhan Noblesse guns. Anybody know are the valve body dimensions the same for Kral/JKhan? And for Evanix too I quess. It's seems to be difficult or impossible to get spare parts for these Hyundai or what ever family of airguns to compare them.

Depends on the caliber and model I'd say, they are all very close but Evanix RS2/Blizzard has a drop style valve block. My .45 Sniper also has bigger valve stem and that nose of the valve housing. It would be very interesting if you guys could identify that the screw on nose in the valve housing can be swapped from Kral to Evanix to JKHan and then make a well flowing nose and valve kits. What are the diameters of the original valve stem vs. the new one, the difference looks huge?

I'm working on the regulated gun now, some fine tuning with the spring was needed.

The original is .195 vs. .125 for the new one.
-
Noblesse has that drop style block too, so no go. But there should be some market for a good air efficient valve for the Jkhan / Evanix guns as as stock they waste air big time, atleast the bigger calibers. And there are no aftermarket parts available at all.

If someone sends me a Evanix valve of the most common variety I will make up a SS valve,
-
Gee thanks Travis now I have to buy another Airgun. Can I give my wife your phone number so you can explain why lol.
Phil

If someone sends me a Evanix valve of the most common variety I will make up a SS valve,
Travis, I can send you the valve from my Rainstorm II since I have it apart and it's been sitting idle in the safe.

I might have to throw in a 357 barrel and see what it will do or a 30 cal.

Yeah, because I need more stuff to make...
-
So is the rainstorms valve the same as the noblesse valve?? If so it may fit both brands?

It's all boxed up and I'll try to get it out tomorrow during my lunch break. Travis I'll be sending it with the valve block and air tube attached to it because I am having a really tough time trying to remove the block from the tube, and I don't want to break/mangle/scratch/strip/destroy anything.

thats actually even better that way I can test fit.

Our local Jkhan importer has .35 caliber noblesse valves in stock, I can send you one if it helps. He doesn't have any drop blocks in stock but can order one from Korea.
Can you fit the valve tech inside the valve body part itself or will it need a new drop block too? I think some evanix guns have exactly same shape valve as the Kral and some have a separate valve and drop block like in the Jkhan pictures I posted. Other than that the valve main body dimension should be the same. Throat and exhaust port sizes are diffrent for different calibers.
One important question is how big valve throat you can build in to this slim style of valve body? My .35 caliber stock valve has about .34 throat and I'd would like to see something bigger than that, maybe .38- or .40 even.

Do you know if the bodies of the .22,.25,.357 are the same with just different porting??
-
I've only seen the .35 version myself, so I don't know. I asked about the valve differences from the importer but all he could say he thinks they are the same but can't guarantee it. One interesting thing he told was that he can get all the parts for the Jkhan guns so spare parts are available. And actually the price for the valve he quoted was so cheap I might just place an order for .22 and .25 valves just to see if they are the same.
-
Maybe start a thread about the valve differences and with evanix im sure members know this is the WORLDS largest and most active air rifle forum. Then once we know I can plot a plan to put into action. Im glad to help anyway i can.

Finished the R&D for Kral SS valve and will start posting strings now

We included a place to put a gauge(gauge not included) for those who plan on regulating their Kral
-
This is a true balanced valve so it only requires a stock spring and typically set At lightest setting or even cut down so now that stiff trigger is super light and crisp. Combine that with our hardened offset sear and the pull weight is fractions of the stock gun.
-
The sear drops it down to around just over 2 lbs. I don't have any stock sears to test but our early prototypes measured around 4 lbs.
-
Heres the valve really making serious power in a 25 cal Kral Bullpup 93 FPE!!!!

Rely GOOD work Travis,
I will need SS valve for my .22 NxWerks QR BullpUp in which I have installed HUMA air pressure regulator already. I hope that it is not problem to send it to EU.

Not a problem at all.

Are the sears available to purchase? ???
Thanks!
Ed
-
Not yet Ed, made them so tough that I can't resize the pivot hole. I have a few that are done, but getting 2-5 sears in working order per carbide reamer is going to get pricey.
-
Nice work! I've been itching to try out a kral
-
I too but only Puncher rifle because the BullpUp is not able to tune for a free floating barrel.
-
My Breaker barrel is free floating.
-
My Breaker barrel is free floating.
Wow,
Can you share details ?
-
I bored out the holes in the scope mount that the barrel runs through(misaligned from the factory) and use a different LDC, so the barrel band is just there to keep the fill port cover aligned.
-
OK, but scope rail is still hard fixed with air pressure tube which deformation effects POI ???
-

deformation occurs in the thousandths of an inch, if your variations as a shooter are less than the variations of .0009-.001 of an inch than call me impressed! I wouldn't concern myself with air tube deformation effecting POI as greatly as some think. Variation from shot to shot occurs on so many levels for so many different reasons. Velocity, Point of Aim, Wind, Pellet weight/head size differences just to name a few.
-Matt
-
As Matt said, you'll never notice those changes unless your gun is in an extremely rigid vice and you'd never be able to differentiate from the other variables. Look at how many very accurate guns use a scope rail that is clamped to the cylinder. Most guns are more accurate than the shooter is capable of shooting anyway.
-
My experience with Noblesse seems to be different for now. Time answer me I hope.

Just know I only need ART/SS valves and trigger sears for:
1. 150 bar Regulated Noblesse .22
2. 150 bar regulated Kral Puncher .177
When It will be ready ?
-
Let me know when its all ready for sale. Think Ill be purchasing a Kral in the near future!
-
It really woke the kral up for sure. I'm wondering what it will do in a .22 kral mega. If Travis makes one for the jkhan, rainstorm platform... its going to be a hammer.
-
Any more testing being done on the kral valve ? I have a marine mega .25 on the way ( gift from my wife;).

you cant unfortunately. JSAR doesn't make them anymore.

Maybe you should offer the drawings for sale along with a list of materials and grades needed, instead of developing it and boasting about what you did and then leaving everyone hanging trying to figure out how to get it done with their rifle.

It’s part of the patent so if you want to buy the patent that’s currently being used to make Raptor valves you better have deep pockets. Plenty of information in Bobs gate on building a balance valve or the better alternative is get enough people together that would warrant JSAR in making another run but you would have to contact Jacob and ask if that’s even possible
-
These dead horse threads are a waste of time and should be archived.
-
You know, it's hardly Travis' fault when somebody revives a thread from 2017.... ::)
Bob
-
I understand some one reviving a thread, which is foolish since the prospect of getting said parts is out of the question but perhaps some of these older threads like this one could go take a nap in the archives. There seems to be a lot of hostility on the GTA lately. And that's a real bummer since it's my favorite air gun site to visit. I've seen more cantankerous fighting over the last thirty days on this site than the whole prior year put together.
-
IMO, what makes this site better than all the other sites is ALL of the knowledge and ALL of the knowledgeable people here. The ability to revive a thread is one thing that makes this site GREAT! There are thousands of threads here. Most threads don't catch the attention of all fellow air gunners. But that one thread that stands out to one's current project or AG is, IMO, is one man's treasure of knowledge. That being said, may all my fellow air gunners have a blessed day!
-
Very true. Thank you for the different perspective.
-
You know, it's hardly Travis' fault when somebody revives a thread from 2017.... ::)
Bob
right.....but we can all work on responses that are more de-escalating than defensive or even sometimes offensive in nature. As humans it is so easy to meet offense with either defense or a stronger offense...vs de-escalating.
for example here, the leader of the site could have set the tone of understanding and neutralize any perceived hostility by simply informing the poster they were responding to an old thread. Perhaps even included the piece about JSAR possibly producing the parts again in the future. The part about patents and deep pockets was unproductive and IMO a little below what we should expect out of our community's leadership.
That being said, when we feel we are under attack and stressed, we are only human. Each of us are fully capable of not putting our best foot forward, and instead placing it directly in our mouth....
-
What's the patent number or application number? Or is it one of those invisible and imaginary ones?
-
Your right im a bit punchy you would be to if everytime you post something you get attacked that said the valve worked awesome but was not a good seller it took forever to sell the 50 we made in the inital run. So making more isnt a good business decision JSAR is better off making MROD valves and PROD valves as they sell quite well. Thanks and sorry for my attitude
-
I see a good bit of frustration being directed at you, Travis. It's a definite trend. And I've never seen the need for it. But for some reason people seem to identify you as a valid target for such.
In my current state, I'd likely be a complete orafice about it. People have limits. And sometimes life pushes us to and past them for periods of time. I'd like to be a batter person. But as of lately I have been volatile and reactionary. And that's me doing the best I can.
-
Travis, your only human and being under attack puts a person in fight or flight mode. You took note and acknowledged and that's really about all a guy can do and then do our best to not let it happen again. I don't know what is going on exactly but it seems like there is a lot of discord going around the GTA right now. We all need to be a little kinder to each other. We might not agree on certain things, heck we might have a serious dislike for some of our fellow members but the bottom line is that all that BS will do nothing but tear us apart and be the downfall for the GTA.
-
I have to admit, all the hostility has me a little confused. :o

Just an observation, but you're calling Travis out on his comment about deep pockets. Yet no mention of Rich B's inflammatory remark about boasting? So essentially Rich is asking for someone to do all the hard work for him by developing and testing a valve, but is dissatisfied when said valve is no longer available. And to put icing on the cake, he also wants the design put up for sale?
I don't need to defend Travis; he's a big boy. IMO, the first shot fired was from Rich and I didnt see anything particularly defensive with Travis' response. Twice he stated plain fact; 1) they were no longer available and 2) if you want to buy a patent, you'd better have the bucks. Especially one that is currently in use.
I'm all for calling a spade a spade...but the spade caller needs to give both parties a fair shake.

This will be my only response, I am not looking to "pick on" or be "picked on". In this instance I am doing neither....
"Heavy is the head that wears the crown" it's not just a Chris Cornell and Zac Brown song.
Like it or not, owners/leaders have a greater responsibility than individual contributors...either they learn and adapt to that responsibility or they do not remain owners/leaders for the long term. My interests are those of this entire community's continued existence. In order for that to be maintained, we must have good leadership.

So fairness does not apply to leaders? They must treat fairly but are not given the same regard? I'm not trying to pick on anyone, I was just making an observation.
Fairness and equality is not just for the masses. True, leaders must be held to a higher standard, but that does not mean their rights as individuals must suffer. Or is it a sliding scale that allows disparity just because of position? If that's the case then Travis can just as well shut this whole thing down and leave up only what he wants. After all, he is the owner; we're just here enjoying the facilities. Oh right; he needs to be fair to everyone here while they are seemingly entitled to take shots at him. I still can't wrap my head around that one, sorry.
Regardless, don't worry; you said that would be your only response and I will do likewise.

I would really like to have this valve made for my NP-03 in .25 caliber. If this is available any way, if the machinists isn't terribly busy I would like to do a review on my Youtube channel. I can Paypal or direct pay. If anyone can reach out let me know please. Best regards. F.A.

Solid, no matter how old the thread is.

I'm a NP-03 owner in .22 so I'm interested.
I'd wager that many others who own a NP-03 would be interested.

I read the replies by Travis and did not see what most here did , I guess?? I do hope however that JSAR some day makes M-Rod valves again. :'(

Highly doubtful .... JSAR as it was previous operated within a complete Machine Shop environment. That Shop ( Rogue Energies ) closed up, sold off the equipment and all those originally involved behind the JSAR air gun project have moved on.
JSAR as a brand is currently a 1 man operation and outsourcing most of the parts and pieces that make a Raptor Rifle.
Now if or not the other shop that for a spell was said to be taking over the valve manufacturing side of the biz is still doing so or not have no idea. ( There name escapes me at the moment )

If it is a balanced valve like I had on my Bulldog, along with a ti tube, I highly recommend you do not get it.
It took 5 trip to us po to get the tube to fit, and the valve leaked down each week. I sold it to a member with full disclosure, he got it going, but had a lot of experience with the balanced and other hot rod valves.
Great idea, poor execution.

What a bummer. Covid probably hurt greatly.

Actually no .... the future of the company and it's projected path predates it.

It's sad that the patent cant get sold to someone that wants to produce it, if there actually is one.

Highly doubt it .... value lies in the CAD drawings and code that is still out there held by likely the previous owner of Rogue Energies Jacob E
Tho just a WAG :-\
