Not sure if there is a thread on this already if so then search is failing me but let's see some of your disco builds! Want some ideas on one. I built a .177 with a BNM and Mrod trigger and bought a .22 with a BNM and a DPV recently. Now I have a stock .177 disco that's been modded for 3000psi fills and a tuned up trigger and not sure where I wanna go with it so let's see them!

How about my Disco Double....

Homemade repeater breech that accepts MRod mags. and the gun is a rear cocker.... .25, .30, and .35 cal TJ's 25" barrels, with a 7/8" CF shroud applying tension to the barrel and a Hatsan Air Stripper the muzzle.... The stock is a Boyd's Blaster in Forest Camo.... Trigger is MRod Gen1.... Here are the best tunes....

Future plans include a Cothran Powerhouse Valve which should allow me to go back to cocking with the bolt.... Maximum power achieved in .357 cal was 192 FPE....

I can't find pictures of my "Joe Hickey" stocked Discovery on my drive. But it is a thing of beauty!
It's had the trigger mod done to it and is .22.
-
Built these for my sons, about 5 years ago. Disco's which I did some work on, can't remember the internal work but the rifle is a tack driver.

GTA doesn't identify it as an image. your image [Discownewstock_sm.jpg] is now only 2699 and can only be viewed as a link
maybe a complaint to the web master is needed

They're all beauties!!!! My disco is still bone stock, stiil a very nice shooter though!! I wish I had on hand access to a nice machine shop, maybe I'll pic up a small lathe some day, they're fairly reasonable ;D

Here are mine, plus a couple of 2260's:
The Discos are .22 and the one in the Boyd's Pro Varmint stock is running a DPV (Disco Power Valve) regulated to 1800psi with a Huma reg., courtesy of Air Superiority (thanks Nick).
The second is running a stock valve and 18" barrel.
The 2260's are the .25 Can Gun (2560) and the .30 (3060).

If you keep the new .177 with the stock valve, reg it for shot count. Will make a great plinker. Guess I should go about getting my .177 Maximus (not saying what I plan for that one).

Beautiful guns guys! Leaning towards a Boyd's pro varmint stock in pepper laminate I'm thinking will look great. Keep them comin!
That would be a beautiful gun. I haven't see a disco with that stock shape/color...
Cheers

Wow I'm liking some of the tactical looking ones too.
Joe I did plan on regulating the one for shot count.

I recently bought a .177 Disco. Have tuned it a few different ways. With an SSG I had it at 12 fpe for around 60+ shots? Got tired of counting after 50 lol. I also tried a Cothran Powerhouse valve. With ice maker tubing transfer port, and minimal hammerspring, it netted 33 fpe via JSB Monsters. I'd like to play at 30+ fpe more, in .177 it's surprisingly accurate. May add a .25 Mrod barrel this winter. Cut the choke off, and blast some slugs ;)
The Discos are alot of fun , especially for the price.

Wow David I'm amazed by that stock! Not too surprised coming from you though as all the guns from you I've seen have all had the most beautiful stocks!

Thanks folks. The others posted are very nice. I love them all, like you love your momma. Very satisfying hobby.. Looking forward to seeing more...cheers

I have been selling quite a few things lately and just was actually able to pick up this .22 disco! (bought haven't received yet)

Amazing rifles gentlemen.
Without trying to hijack this thread, can I assume it is entirely possible to build a Discovery based rifle without ever actually buying one? Theoretically I could buy:
Stock - Boyd's / Crosmods
Breech / shroud - BNM / Crosmods
Marauder trigger group
Airgun Labs spacer
valve - either stock Discovery valve / hammer, or one of the custom valves / hammers
Cothran air tube
Discovery barrel cut to the length for a carbine / or a Challenger barrel if going .177
fill end
barrel band
transfer port
misc (end cap / power adjuster / or SSG assembly, gauge block / gauge)
It most likely is not very cost effective, but an entire rifle can be built from parts, correct?
It looks like it would be a fun winter project.
Thanks.
Bruce

You are correct! Pretty much if I were to do it all over again I would do that then you don't have extra parts sitting around.
-
that thing is a beauty there dairyboy. i love the look of the stock... very nice
-
It most likely is not very cost effective, but an entire rifle can be built from parts, correct?
Yes, and make over 200 fpe if you've got enough caliber.
This is my 2260 based .357

Nothing real fancy but it shoots nice. Had this built by Normand Morin of DiscosRUS a few months ago with a Lothar Walther barrel tuned for a 2400 psi fill and 12 fpe so I could get a lot of shots out of it. When I got it from Norm, I pulled a couple of patches through it, mounted a test scope, filled it to 2400 psi and shot a 25 yard test target with JSB 8.4’s. One ragged hole. It’s great having a rifle I don’t have to fill to 3,000+ psi and that I can get 55 to 60 good shots from. Hope the photos load, didn’t have much luck the last time.

-
That's the first FT disco rifle I've seen! I like it alot. How is the noise level?
Thanks David I'm real excited to get it and I love the stock also! just not excited to hand pump that big bottle up ::)
Wow that's an awesome .357 can you get a good shot or two out of it not tethered?
