Meeting up with my buddy the end of the week.
He found me a Crosman 400 Repeater at a yardsale to tinker with.

400 is a fun rifle. I hope the mag is with the rifle...fingers crossed.

Oh,I asked! He says it looks like the mag is there. Another bud from another site is sending me a spare!

Definitely some quality workmanship on the rifle, and Made in the USA. If you never have owned an older Crosman product...you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I think I shoot premiers and gamo wadcutters in the 400.

Better make sure you have a good supply of Powerlets. Mine shoot RWS wadcutters the best, accurate and feed very reliably. Awesome old guns.

I have had a Sears Roebuck 1400 I brought back to life a few years ago. another member here owns it now. Have also resealed (lucky!) a Crosman 180.
In thepast I got a 114 and had to buy the seals from an outfit in Canada Bought all the fittings /tank and etc and failed to reseal it. Garey (mindsweeper333) bought that from me and resealed it right off. There was a burr somewhere I had missed.

Thanks, Terry, I do have CO2 and a about 4-5 tins of varius wadcutters to try.
I have seen some of the pics of your collection, and all of yours are awesome!

Any 400 pics?

NICE! and you scoped it! lol That stock is great.
I picked this up this one up this afternoon, (had to go down there for wife's Cancer therapy)
Not quite how my buddy discribed it to me.. This had been sitting in a corner in a garage.
The stock looks pretty nice, buttplate is intact. It is missing the mag, but I have one coming.(hope)
There is rust. He called it freckled, but I call it more than that.

I'll get pics tommorow.
Project gun . May not come out pretty, but hope to get it shooting.

Hopefully I can least make a shooter out of this. lol Going after some bronze brushes to try and clean up.
Tried a full cart (plus an empty) and it slow leaks out the barrel. Cocked and fired a couple times before it gave up the gas. Can ice maker tubing be used for
a transfer port?

The mag supposed to be coming was to be here last Friday, but hasn't arrived yet.

Slowly taking my time getting it disassembled.
What a pain trying to loosen that screw that holds the bolt handle. Penetrating oil! Got it.

The little screw in the barrel band was a real nightmare.
Discovered after, all I had to do was loosen it.
There is a little piece of metal on the threads that came with it.
Apparently what it threaded into.

Finished dismantle this morning, cleaned up what I could, resealed with what O rings I hand on hand.
"No winner this time, please try again".

I bought one from "darabe_25" on ebay. It came out to just shy of $45 shipped. He doesn't have any available now but you can contact him and see.

Went back and sent him a message asking if he will have any soon.
