A while back JSAR was selling a light weight tube that took about 1 1/2 pounds off the gun mainly towards the front. I put one on mine before I sold it. It really did make a huge difference.

They still have them for Gen 2 with and without guage hole.  Shows $180

I have three guns equipped with the JSAR tubes and they are exceptionally nice. I also have two guns with the AGR hybrid tube which is not quite as light as the JSAR since it retains the steel rear section but much improves balance and does not require a special hammer. The AGR tube cannot accept a Huma, the JSAR can.
