Just ordered a PG2 kit for my D34 with o-ring seal.
It will be interesting to see how big the difference will be compared to stock.

I've read only good things about the O-ring seal, so we'll see how it works out.

I haven't tried an o-ring seal kit on a 34 but the kit with the normal seal is a great improvement.  I am sure you will like it.

Do you have to remove the barrel, to be able to get the piston out?

The Vortek spring is an inch shorter than the stock spring.
Do I have a problem here, or is it suppose to be that way?

If I remember right mine was a little shorter than the stock spring too. I really like the kit. The shot cycle is much improved.

I thought I had to send it back.

I took the gun apart and got the piston out, without removing the barrel.
Everything looks great. No burrs and no shave marks.

Are you suppose to pull the spring out of the sleeve when you grease it or just the part that is showing?
It is firmly inside the sleeve, so it wont be easy to pull it out.

Mine was already lubed under the sleeve. You can take it out and see for sure it won't hurt anything.

Is there a trick to attaching the piston seal to the piston?

Lots of different ways. I did mine like how Tom from vortek does it on the video on his site. Some warm it in hot water as it softens it some. I didn't warm mine. It took a couple of tries but it finally went on. Here is a link to the video.

I put one of those O-ring seals in my Remington Express. The FPS varies between 896-910. I'm really pleased with it. I did "polish" the tube with 600 grit over top a brake hone.

Ok, the rifle is in one piece again.
And, Oh La La, like everyone says, BIG difference.
No twang and no sproing.
Just a soft thud.
I don't have a chrony but I shot at a phone book, before and after.
It's more powerful now. How much I don't know.
