Nice to read about this. My Vortek kit for my RWS 34 .22 will arrive tomorrow. Will be glad to get rid of some of the noise and vibration.

Stefan, I have two vortek kitted guns and love them. I'm thinking about putting one in my 34 at some point. Did you find the kit made the rifle noticeable quieter or just different in sound? Is it more neighborhood friendly?

I would love to hear about the difference in a 34 parachute seal vortek compared to the O-ring seal kitted gun. Anybody???

You should use a compressor, but I didn't.
I was too eager to get it done.

If you want to take the piston out, you need to remove the cocking arm.
The cocking arm is attached to the barrel breech with a pin and a c-clip.
A thin sturdy piece of metal or a thin knife will work, but it's a bit tricky.
If that doesn't work you have to remove the barrel to get it out.

I have a vortek ps2 kit for my RWS 34. I have built a spring compressor and have the barrel out of the stock. Not sure what to do next

I know this thread is a wee bit old, but I had a question for Stefan. Is the kit you bought the 12 fpe kit? I had a moment of weakness

and ordered a Ruger Blackhawk last night (clone of RWS 34) and I want to put a Vortek 12 fpe kit (w/ o-ring seal) in it.
