Unknown if there will be a 95QE..they just came out with the Mod 87QE, It's basically a 95 powerplant in a synthetic stock with the shroud & moderator

John-Thanks for posting the link to the 95QE. I'm glad to see that it looks like it's a bit lighter--7.6#s vs. 8.4#. The weight is the biggest thing that keeps from ordering the current 95. I already have an XL1100 and that's enough heavy rifles for me.

Well, they sent me an email Friday that offered free shipping until midnight today for Michigan residents......I fought off the temptation until one hour remained on the offer. I just caved and ordered one in .22.   Hopefully it'll arrive Wednesday as estimated since my dear wife doesn't get home 'til later that day and UPS doesn't show up until 4:30-5:30.
I rechecked the rifle's weight--PA and Midway both say 8.4#s, AGDP and AGPS both list it as 7.8#s. Gotta hunch it's 8.4#s because of a lot of comments saying it's heavy. Guess I'll shoot my XL1100 for awhile first then it'll seem light.

Old Corps, my 95 springer is definitely around 8.5 lbs - I can't see a Vortex model being less than 8 lbs.  It's quite well-balanced, but still pretty heavy.  I was pretty tempted to go for one of the refurbished Hatsan 100X underlevers that were going for only $119 a few weeks ago, but I just couldn't envision toting around and shouldering a rifle that weighs close to a pound more than my 95.
