Yup Manny....going on record the plastic/synthetic stock is not a POS.

YEMX : "Mostly plastic"?.....Only the stock and safety are plastic/synthetic. The entire action is Metal: Aluminum Breech,Aluminium Shroud, Green Mountain steel Barrel, Steel Air tank, Aluminum trigger, Steel screws and connecting hardware.

I am sure Crosman could have made something like the Slayer or Flex.... But they would have to charge $1,500-$2,000 for it and we saw what happened with the Rouge. Too complicated and too expensive for such a small market (big bore airguns).

Soooo...Crosman got smart about the Rouge, Took out the electronics, made it shorter (bullpup) and took off $500. They have a winner!

The part that is supposed to bring everything together, the outer shell, is plastic.  It's not military grade plastic, it's just plastic.  So no, they don't have a winner.  It's ugly, and it's for sure not as well built as the Flex.  The Flex also performs better.  If it's like you say, and it's a Marauder, bullpuped, with a sidelever, then the bulldog is like the armada.  Why would anyone want to pay a grand for a gussied up marauder?!

Looking at those pictures you linked me rkr, I will NOT be getting a bulldog to reverse into a rifle.  It would be a waste of money.  Now, if I could get one for nearly free (I'd gladly pay shipping!) I would try it.  But as of now, I sense another crosman failure...

The Bulldog is really a Marauder.... And that action is proven, The Bulldogs Barrel is securely attached to the Breech...and does have a "Barrel Support" inside the shroud, but that just aligns everything...

It is securely attached to the Breech, and would be considered free floated if not for the shroud. Once the shroud is installed...it becomes part of the Barrel,Breech and Stock.. Fairly Solid, That is how I know this thing was built on a Computer..and tested.

This is 2015....why are people so ignorant about synthetic materials?

Yes I talked smack about the Rogue for years, and refresh my memory,....where's the Rogue now ?

At the same time I've been reccomending Crosman guns like the Nitro pistons, the Disco and even the Marauder in the right context.

My main beef with Crosman has always been the marketing bs strategy not so much the guns.


So, after years of direct confrontation on Airgun forums with Crosman representatives they still sent me a BullDog on their dime for review,...what does that say ?

............There's plastic and than there's plastic, the Bulldog stock is not a solid well made  high grade Synthetic or Polimer but a cheap, thin, hollow toy guns chinese plastic, they could have made a solid Flex type gun and still kept it way under priced since most component are mass produced made in China,..... the Slayer and Flex are  ALL "American made"

I was one of the first buyers to get this gun and I had high hopes but, it just did not do it for me.   

The looks I liked but in the end that was it...

-When I first pulled it out of the box the 'plastic' fill port broke and that all I will say about the "Plastic" that Crosman used
-No knock on Green Mountain but the barrel did not perform (just wrong barrel for the bull-pup)
-Crosman refused to give any information on the barrel (when trying to find testing ammo)
-For the size of the shroud it did nothing for the gun it was much loader than I expected
-It was meant for slugs but I could not even get JSBs pellets much past 900fps.  (which was well below Crosman claim)

I sent it back the same week I got it.  I felt so bad for Crosman that I just stop talking all together about the bulldog no positives no negatives on the TAG forum.   Well maybe one thing... lol
