I have a little selfish interest in this question, but I wonder how many closet covetors there are in the Cometa ownership world. Fusion, Fenix/400, Indian pistols, or RWS models (RWS 94, RWS 93, RWS 92)...

Also, how did you find out about them and where did you buy your first?

I should say I'm not interested at the moment....have to do a bit more research.
I just read a British review which did give the 400 Fenix some pretty high marks. The .177 test gun did 768 fps with RWS Superdomes.
There were two comments to the review...one pro...one con. No complaints about the trigger tough.
I learned about the Cometa on GTA when you started offering them.

I bought mine used and the previous owner had done a tune on it. It's a wonderful rifle. I'm very happy with it and think it's a good bang for the buck. Mine is a Fusion Star .177 cal with a Hawke AirMax and beech stock.

I find the look of the Fusion star's to be quite nice. However I am saving my euro cents for the Lynx whenever it comes out. I am crossing my fingers there will be a lynx star stock format.

I think those guns are very over looked by people, I have 3 Fenix 400 compacts 2 .22cals and .177cal. and I think these guns are as good as the RWS T05 line or better they are very accurate and have a fully adjustable 2 stage trigger {better than a T05} nice wood and some models have adjustable cheek pieces that work very well for better sight alignment with a scope. Their light weight nice to carry around in the woods. I use these guns to shoot piegons with the 22cals and the range on them is 75 to 85yds and these rifles have no problems reaching out ther and dropin them dead all day long! their that accurate.

The Cometas really do have nice wood.
I'm wondering about parts availability, warranty, and what's your return policy?
Also, what fps cud I expect from the Fusion Star using a real world .22 pellet?

I can get parts. I have already ordered springs and seals to have on hand. I've inquired about other parts both for replacement and upgrade like receivers, rails, and stocks. Of course, having just started selling for them, they will probably take more of my parts requests seriously.

On the other hand, it is a 140 year-old company, so I don't believe they will be disappearing next week or any time soon. They are SERIOUSLY under-represented in the US, which I firmly believe is the only reason they are not far more popular.

Compressedair, the .22 pushes right about 20 foot pounds. So with 14gr pellets you are talking about 800 fps. The action is similar in the 400/Fenix and the Fusion, with some differences in the barrel.

Dont know if this counts. But, I have a RWS model 94 which is a Cometa 400 Fenix in .177. I like it a lot. I would buy one in .22.

I don't own one at this time. However I'm not opposed to ownership..I just need to do more research on their whole line-up. Turbonoma's Fusion Star certainly looks intriguing.

Richard...
According to the Brit viewer he got 768 fps with 8.3 gr superdomes vs the 400's listed 1000 fps with an unknown pellet. That's roughly a 24% reduction!
A 24% reduction with the .22 gives roughly 623 fps. I'm not very tech inclined,,,so probably missing something.
Also, what about warranty and return policy?

I may be mistaken, but I believe there are foot-pound limitations in UK. I would imagine shipments to the UK have to be pre-set to the lower FPS.

About warranty... Checking into that right now to get specifics.

I have a older crosman 3100 made in 1978 which is a cometa 100 The gun is very accurate a real sleeper but has heavy trigger. Those that shoot them know how accurate they are once you learn the trigger. I,m very interested in a cometa 220 or rws 92. are you going to carry them.

you are correct B-doc Mine shoot 760''s with 14.3gr cph's .22cal at 18.2ftlbs in a stock form.

Northern Lights, What kind of price are you looking for on the 220? I worry about even quoting here because I know what the prices are in Europe... and shipping just ruins that for me unless I buy a boatload. I'm assuming you don't want a boatload of them ;-) In other words, I can get any of these guns, but I think the less pricey models get artificially inflated in price as imports. PM me... Have you seen prices for anyone carrying them in the US currently? (Larry hasn't had them since 2007).

I have a RWS93. A real clunker until I went over the entire rifle. Now no one would even recognize it.

AirScopes asked for photos & what had been done. So here are the photos you wanted to see. Complete tune/JM seal/RWS320 spring/chopped barrel/lots of trigger work/chopped down & reshaped stock/muzzle break/and lots more. Total weight with scope 7 lbs 7 oz.

Update: Just stripped the stock and reshaped the for end, the grip, butt, cheek piece. Removed wood on 100% of the stock, this is the second time to do this. The first time I left to much wood on and now feels a lot better. Also reduced the weight another 3 oz. it now weighs 7 lbs 4 oz.

The UK has a 12flbs limit.
But they have the FAC models that require
a fire arms licence...
FAC models are unrestricted power out put.

Think I'm correct...sure theres a brit out there
that will chime in..
