Crosman pellets...just curious.

Since the Crosman HP pellet is the easiest to buy locally it is the main pellet that I use.    I noticed several months ago that there seemed to be a difference between the pellets purchased from WalMart and Acadamy Sports.  I've been buying one tin at Wmt and another from Acadamy and comparing them .   The pellets from are WMT darker in color, with quite a bit of mold flashing (or what I call "wings") also have a greater % of dented skirts.    On the other hand Pellets from Acadamy are brighter in color,  and overall cleaner.  They don't have the flashing or the dented skirts like the pellets from WMT.    And in the end I believe the Acadamy Crosman pellets shoot better.  Mainly because they do not appear to have been sweept up off the floor.      
Has anyone else noticed any differences between Crosman pellets based on what outlet they bought them from?
Also ,these pellets had the same product code on the tins.

I buy my CPHP's at Wally and so far, every tin contained very shiny pellets. I have bought them from different Wallys and they are all shiny. I think the code on the lid just describes the product, it's not a die lot or anything, as all of my tins also have the same code.

I just got a 1966 diana an today was trying to sight it in. glad I had 17 different pellet to try very pellet fussy so far it likes the new gamo match and crossman h-p still got about 8 more pellets to try. Most of my gun,s don,t do that well with the crosman h-p why don,t you order from pa an try different pellets Lot of good pellets out there that don,t cost as much as the crosman h-p. I have gun,s that like the cheap beemans h-p pointed an wadcutter an some that like dasiys an gamo. some like rws. Don,t limit yourself to crosman h-p try ordering on-line. some good deals out there.
