i got a Tactacam 4.0 in the mail today. paid $200 from Tactacam. i still need to pick up a micro sd card to start experimenting with it. if i like it, i'll get the FTS (film thru scope) mount.

Today was a fantastic day for me. All the deals I scored were waiting for me to open when I got home- a $199 SWFA 10x, a $140 Maximus Hunter, and 3 tins of H&N FTT’s that were $9 each. Already got the 10x mounted in Talley’s on my .243, as well as the 6x package scope mounted up on the Maximus. Hoping for good weather and some free time this weekend.

Recieved the Slavia ZVP pellet pistol I ordered off ebay. Took a bit of a chance since the seller got it from an estate sale and never tested it. As I opened the box it smelled like old gun oil, which was a promising sign. Cocked it and the spring felt smooth and strong. Oiled and fired it twice, first shot sounded okay, but was also blowing the excess oil out. Second shot hit the plastic trash can with a satisfying thump. Now to break it down and refurbish it before shooting it anymore. Any advice?

Here is my contribution to this "new toy" thread...

I just got another Leupold LTO Tracker today. It's the HD version to go with the slightly older LTO Tracker I have from last year. For the deer hunter sneeking into a bedding area where you need to "see" if there's deer laying down ahead of you or the woodsman hunting in predator country who may want to know what is lurking around in the bush, these thermal heat detector units are an awesome addition to the gear pack.

Nice! I've been plotting to get one of those. As soon as I get enough money in the PayPal account by selling some stuff, i.e. launder my money so the credit card never sees it, I want to get one of these. Just seems like the sort of toy every engineer needs to have. And it might be useful for hunting the squirrels that hide in ivy-covered trees or perhaps detecting "hot" ground hog borrows that I need to be watching...

Hawke 4-12X40 Airmax got delivered today. It will go on my Kral Puncher Pro 500. Gotta dig through my supply of rings now to see what I've got.

Also, got my Beeman P17 from Amazon that was on sale for $7.50. Can't beat that!!!!

Got my 2 piece UTG snap in dovetail to picatinny adapters. I have the scope mounted but still have to square it up and set it. The Stormrider is about to be back in action.

Received the Ataman and all the other goodies that are to go with it. It did survive the Fedex grorillas so thats a plus, PA did a great job of packing it. Donny as usual has been a fantastic in answering questions and the sales went smoothly. The Ronin is well made and fits like it is part of the gun, it even came in its own carrying case.

Finally got my 1322 from Amazon - it was delayed multiple times. Found the box which was dumped in the snow late last night. Curiously, the message on Amazon said today: Your package was delivered. It was handed directly to a resident. Umm, no, that's not true, I wasn't home. Fortunately, no porch bandits here yet. Amazon seems to be overwhelmed with orders this season. That and the weather hasn't cooperated.

Have to figure out how I'll dress this 13xx up

My P17's, ordered at the same time, (Dec 1st) still have no ship date.

I find this usually occurs with UPS deliveries. I believe it is individual UPS drivers that do this in an attempt to finish their shift on time and to falsely claim to Amazon that they got the package delivered on the promised date.

Whenever this happens I would always get my package delivered the very next day.

In a departure from my usual choice of pellet guns, I received a DPMS Full Auto SBR CO2-Powered BB Air Rifle via UPS today. It seems to work fine, and as long as you only fill the speed-loader, which many online reviewers have complained about, only 1/2 full of BBs, it works adequately as well.

It's Winter in my area, which, at 23 F, means that I won't be taking it outside for a while, but it seems like it will be a ton of fun once I can unload 25 BBs at 1400 RPM on some unsuspecting aluminum cans.

I also received two 200-pellet tins of .22-caliber RWS Superdomes. Boy, have prices on this favorite pellet of mine gone up!
