Don't do it. I did,... that is a direct trigger/sear engagement, and then mine would not catch when I tried to cock it. Couldn't find a replacement spring and had to order one through Chambers,across the pond. ( 3100 is rebadged Cometa 100)
That one lasted about two shooting sessions,and became weak. Back to not cocking.
My neighbor runs a small engine repair( lawn mower, snow blower,etc) and came up with a heavier spring I had to cut to length.
Back to a heavier trigger, about where it was!

Bill, I like how that Maximus is looking and I like where your headed with it! It's going to be a really nice little rifle when your done. That's awesome. Oh yeah, I got a whip hose for the compressor. Almost forgot after looking at that Maximus. Had to use the modify button, lol.

Very nice! I might pick one similar if I had the $$$. In the meantime I’ll continue to drive my 2000 Tacoma that’s nearing 300,000 miles! I have gotten my monies worth out of this one. Good choice on going with Toyota. I wish that I had never sold my 1984 Toyota 4x4 with 22R engine. I had a lot of fun with that truck.

That 22r was amazing. I had a 79 p/u, 4x4 that was so smooth my bil had to ask it was running while he leaned on the hood. I miss that thing. Good luck with the new ride T3P.

Thanks Chris... Kind of a MaxiMiniRod. I'm going for a 2k fill for 2 mags with the basic BStaley o-ring buffer and power adjuster. A 30yd pin point kill zone will be plenty. From the center of my 'at home' hunting area I can reach the total perimeter. Besides all that, she's easy on the eyes...

My buddy has a new Tundra, but he has over 400,000 miles on his Tacoma TRD. I don't remember the year model, but he puts a lot of miles on vehicles. Anyway...

We've both joked about the TRD label. I think most can see what I am referring to in the letters, but we always said it affectionately as it has been a very good, reliable truck!

Those old Toyota P/U's were amazing. Things would be a total rust bucket and purr like a kitten. I ordered a RAW trigger blade for my carbine build and a wood stock from a member here on GTA. Thanks James.

I bought a 3100 from Baker a couple months ago. Came with a little Weaver D6 scope. Think I paid about $98 w/ shipping. No open sight. Shot it some yesterday. Shot RWS R-10 Match and Beeman coated w/c's. Liked them both okay. Kind of a long one stage trigger. I was thinking a lighter trigger spring but I can live with it. Fun little gun.

A couple weeks ago I ordered two of those dual spring tune kits made in Poland. One for a B3 and one for my gas ram Striker. If they actually come it'll be a fun experiment. Shot the B3 also yesterday. It shot real good. Got enough stuff in the parts bin to put together a B3. Might try the kit in that first.

Thanks guys. First new vehicle since 2004 (Chrysler Jeep Wrangler) and 1st Toyota ever! I hope it will be my last new vehicle purchase of my life.
And thanks to you forum enablers who just pushed me into a purchase of one of those Winchester .177 Springers for $29.
