Got 10 tins of JSB 16.2 gr .177 pellets. Not real sure why I didn't order 9 and get 12. Also got a discovery 3x12x44 scope a replacement for a faulty 6x24x44.
Recently got my Chinese clamp-on "velocity meter" after only 17 days and tested it with my Nova Freedom and Crosman Premier Domed 10.5gr (brown box) pellets.High power average 967fps @ 21+fpeLow power average 741fps @ 12+fpeI don't think I am going to change anything at this point and the velocity meters works flawlessly!

It's been quite awhile since I bought anything new, but this morning I ordered a Xisico XS60C in 22 cal from FlyingDragon (MM). I sold by PU truck to my neighbor and kept a couple bucks for MadMoney (MM). So it's in the stars that MM gets my MM.I needed a 22cal co2 cartridge rifle for those days when I don't shoot much, which unfortunately is my norm. I plan to mount a peep sight instead of a scope, for ease of loading. Getting too hard to pump the pcp's with my back trouble, which I don't expect to improve much. Getting old is not for sissies.
Tom, you're gonna LOVE the Xisico XS60C from Mike, they are amazingly nice for the price, both in appearance and performance. Did you call Mike and ask him to set it up any certain way? Archie, 50 shots with 2 Co2 Carts installed is about exactly what I get... 54 last time I counted.I have got mine mid-level tuned but it is adjustable so you can increase or decrease the power/ shot count as suits you.
Oh yea... Head shot's within 30 yards should be a cake walk.Well, for me, it would have to be off a rest of some sort or Prone.
Agreed! Participating in Project Appleseed helped me regain a lot that I had lost after being out of the military for over 30 years. But I am still not good enough to hit a squirrel's head shooting up into a tree.

(chuckle)My experience was similar 60 years ago, but occurred at a 50 ft indoor range where I missed the target paper completely. I was twelve years old and just joined an NRA Junior Division group. Had never fired a firearm before. Remington 511, which I still have. I was encouraged by my uncle and other kind gentlemen not to quit then and there. Within a year or three I was shooting 98/100 scores @ 50' 5 bull targets. But that wasn't off-hand. Squirrels were hunted with a Weaver 4x scope, as I was righthanded but left eye dominant. Mostly used a neighboring tree as a rest when available. Now, at 73, I sometimes have trouble hitting my mouth with my fork.
Oh, I can hit my mouth with a fork.... problem is, sometimes I forget to open my mouth first. And sometimes I forget to close it afterwards..... reminds me, I gotta go change my shirt.
