I hate our Post Office! I briefly stepped out yesterday and missed the mailman. My Huma Regulator for the Air Speed was out for delivery. Instead I get a door tag saying there was no one home to sign for it. So, I follow the directions on the door tag, put it in my mailbox this morning and raise the flag. Well, postman's come and gone, the door tag is not in the mailbox and neither is my regulator! They have no issue leaving a $1100 air gun on my doorstep when I'm out of town and have a mail hold in effect, but they won't deliver a $90 part when I step out for a minute! GRRR!!!

I received my four tins from Field Supply today.
H&N Baracuda (.177 cal/10.65gr)
H&N Baracuda Hunter (.177 cal/10.34gr)
H&N Field Target Trophy (.177 cal/8.64gr)
Hatsan Vortex Supreme (.177 cal)
They gave me store credit for the Optima 3-9X40AO which broke within a week after I had mounted it on my Hatsan Edge.
Packing.....
I was pleasantly surprised at how well they were packed. Each tin individually wrapped in bubble wrap and inserted in a cardboard tube then the tube was itself wrapped in bubble wrap. I was impressed.

Maybe the word is getting out about packing pellets well!

I know I have seen several posts stating that they will only get their ammo from a certain vendor that takes great care in their packaging.

Received my Umx Ruger 10/22 one day earlier than expected from Pyramyd Air. Got the combo with an Air Venturi Mantis 3-9x scope. Never had a 10/22 but all reviews liken it to the firearm. The stock is resin which helps with the weight of the gun especially with the scope. Takes 2 12g CO2 carts in the stock and has a 10 rd rotary mag held in the classic 10/22 mag. (I seated the Daisy Flat Nose pellets like all my rotary mags). By cocking it with the side bolt, it fires single-action with a nice breaking trigger pull...about 3#. It also fires double-action but the pull is horrendous (about 13# the reviewers say). Clocked a velocity average of 627fps...very hard hitting. Got 60+ shots from the two cartridges which is about par with several other guns using two carts.

The target shows my sight-in of the scope at 11yds - 3 nice groups (okay a flier on the second group) but the center group IS THREE SHOTS. I tweaked it a bit and it was knocking down targets out to 25 yds. every time. Will put it through its paces later.

I definitely have a keeper here.

Bill, glad to see yours made in one piece and is shooting fine. RWS Diabolo Basic wadcutters shoot well in my Umarex replicas, give them a try.

I have to wait until I get off work to shoot my 10/22. Hopefully it will still be at the gate when I get home. I get a different driver every time, so it's porch pirate or shipping gorilla roulette with them. I hate getting orders that are shipped through them, the havok they wreak.

Hopefully, if Umarex does make it, it'll work better and not leak as bad as Crosman's attempt...

Blowback will eliminate the 13# double action trigger.

Well, based on the Gauntlet, if Umarex could make an entry level Air Speed, it's sure to have better accuracy! LOL! I believe you are correct, I'm pretty sure the Wildfire uses the same mechanism as the 1077.

Speaking of blow back, picked up a tin of .177 wad cutters to try them out of my M17 replica and the POS pellet trap I bought. Thinking they might not ricochet out of the trap like domed pellets do.

The wadcuttersl bounce out of the trap just like the domed pellets

The whole idea was to be able to just 'dump' the trap out when I was done. Duct seal... might as well use my cardboard box with rubber mulch!

The M17 goes through pellets so fast the duct seal would be loaded up in one session!

My neighbor gave me a Crosman 760-D Pumpmaster she thinks was her husband's or brother in law's. Reasonable amount of rust, sights are there, it cocks, trigger works. Pump arm flops down, some resistance on pumping, but no air is held. I wanted to learn to mod and repair, here is my opportunity, I think it may have a rifled barrel from what I have read here, so worth buying parts for if they are available.

I emailed Field Supply asking if they would take care of any damaged tins. They responded asking that I send pictures of packing and any damage. They were packed as good or better than Pyramid Air. You may be right, if everyone asks for replacements they probably has to change their packaging.
