Co2 / nitro / helium question
«
on:

I would like to know weather the use of helium or nitrogen will increase the performance of my Co2 guns ,
# of shots , velocity , etc. ? Any special requirements to my guns internals ?
2240 & 160 bulk fill .
Thanks ,
Bob

The same precautions apply as with HPA, you need to make sure that the valve is attached properly for the pressure.... In addition, Helium has a habit of leaking right through some O-rings.... Comparing HPA, Nitrogen, or Helium to CO2 is like comparing apples and bananas....
CO2 is stored in the gun as a liquid, and will provide many more shots from the same size reservoir.... The pressure is temperature dependant, and at room temperature is about 850 psi....
The others are a compressed gas, and will have a much lower shot count.... The performance will depend on the pressure, and any CO2 gun using gas under pressure should have a 1.8K burst disc fitted to prevent the pressure from ever exceeding 1800 psi, which is possible with CO2 on a hot day.... Even that pressure level may not be safe, depending on what safety precautions you have taken in modifying the gun for bulk fill....
HPA IS DANGEROUS, IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING.... DON'T.... NITROGEN AND HELIUM FOLLOW THE SAME WARNING !!!
