forward mounted cocking lever is great, its exactly in the right place!

One of the best triggers I have shot. You don't need to adjust anything!!

It's a tad slower than I expected, most manufactures tend to be conservative on the fps numbers.

I sold the JKan within 72 hours.

I thought you liked it?  The review on it was impressive.

I had the same impression, if I remember correctly (not always do at my age ) the groups where actually much better from the Krosa right ?

LOL, my memory isn't that bad after all ....so after the 12 oz trigger job the groups where definitely better than,......looks like the overall weight might have been the deciding factor, I can understand that for sure

If I was buying a .25 bullpup it would  be either  the wildcat or Krosa.

According to OP, just over 6 and 1/2 pounds.  I don't have a scale to weigh it myself.

To me it feels ultra light, so light I could (if I was a nut) duct tape it to my forearm and shoot all day.

MINI REVIEW OF .25 WILDCAT - Updated

I drove out to AOA this afternoon and picked up my .25 FX Wildcat. Here is a mini review I started and will update as I spend time with it.

UNBOXING:
Not much to comment on other than the Wildcat actually fits in the box (as opposed to the Bobcat I received last year which was too wide causing the box to bulge). 


Box Contents:

• (1) FX .25 Wildcat
• (1) Brass fill probe
• (1) Owner’s manual
• (1) 10 8 round silver metal magazine

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS:
My first impression was just how light the rifle actually feels. It’s a featherweight compared to the other rifles I have owned and shot. The fit and finish was flawless. I was surprised  to find that there were no stackable baffles on my rifle. I remember seeing the .22 Wildcat when it first arrived and it had 3 baffles just like the Bobcat. I will have to circle back with AOA to find out what the dilly is.

OWNERS MANUAL:
The manual is in full color and has 23 pages.  It had no mention or reference to the Wildcat. The only section I found of use was the one about trigger adjustment. The rest is of no use. In my opinion, every airgun should come with a manual that is specific to that rifle.

CLEANING THE BARREL:
Since I couldn't shoot due to stormy weather, I decided to clean the barrel.  I used a pull through cord with some cotton patches.

The first hurdle was threading the line past the smooth twist section o the barrel. A straw is absolutely necessary to get past this section of the barrel. Once past that hurdle, the tip of the line got caught on the inner lip of the shroud. I ended up having to get some tweezers to grasp the tip of the line and pull it clear. The final challenge was trying to get the patch end of the pull through into the narrow breach as you can see in the picture.


Eventually, with a little pushing and prodding, I got it to align and was able to pull it through. I didn't need to pull more than two patches since there wasn't much buildup in the barrel. The 1st patch is shown on the left below and the 2nd on the right

CHEEK RESTS:
I turned my attention to the cheek rests. Unlike the Bobcat, the cheek rests on the Wildcat are not adjustable. The cheek rest is comprised of two pieces, both held in place by set screws.

MAGAZINE:
The magazine hold eight .25 cal pellets that are held in place by an o-ring around the inner spindle. Loading pellets is done head first like most magazines. I loaded pellets from H&N, Benjamin, and EunJin with no problems. Actually, which I pleasantly surprised to find that the 35.8 gr EunJin Domed pellet fit perfectly.

Looking to adjust the trigger.
Looks like we have 4 adjustable set screws.

Anyone have any ideas of what the do?

I adjusted the one second from the right in about a quarter of a turn in and it seemed to increase the resistance of the second stage.?

Cutting threads on a barrel to add a LDC has a way of diminishing the O.D.

Who knows, I can't really tell from that pic but could be. I'll get mine later this week and will check it out for sure.
