Have you tried putting a few wraps of teflon tape around the cap threads?   That would snug it up nicely and not require any permanent changes.

I was thinking about doing just that but it seems to have sorted itself out on it's own. I has been 3 days and it's seems to be staying put. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hummm reading the fx fix and what the person did to fix his so it indexed right . Made up my mine I'm not buying any fx air guns. If you can fix it by bending the piece with a pair of pliers. Tells me their taking short cuts not using case harden metal parts. Especially parts that are constantly being cycled all the time.

FX had intended to use Adamantium parts but some guy named the Wolverine broke into their factory and stole their entire supply.

Adamantium won't work it' a liquid metal and has to be injected in your body before it gets hard lol

Pulling the trigger cleared the sear. Somehow the sear remained in the cocked position. Somehow the double load prevention caused the problem. What daya think?

your sear is stuck.  take off the stock and move the trigger to loosen the sear.  I had that happen to my royale.

I would also make sure you are fully cocking the rifle, I know but I am not an AOA laky. You should tell by my previous post. I have a problem short cocking my springers. I do not slamming them fully cocked or closing. In the end I would return it also,but I would have done that when the pin fell out.

Try loosening screw C (see pic below). This is the screw that adjusts the second stage and I found that if it's too tight, the gun won't cock correctly.


As for the rest of the screws:
A – Trigger Stop
B – Trigger Sear Return Spring (leave alone)
C – Second Stage
D – First Stage

CAUTION:

• The first rule of Screw B is: You do not touch Screw B. The second rule of Screw B is: You do not touch Screw B.  Leave screw B alone. Don't touch it.
• Do not to over tighten set screw C as it will prevent the gun from cocking and the magazine from indexing properly
• Do not to over tighten set screw D as it will prevent the safety catch from engaging

I tried loosening screw C. If I loosen it more than 1/8 of a turn it becomes a real hair trigger not safe for anything!

I'm so sorry to hear about your troubles with your new bullpup!

You are correct about the problem.  That little spring must be attached to the tip of that adjustment screw somehow.  If there is insufficient pressure from that spring, the mechanism can cock even though the striker is forward which will prevent it from moving backward (thus the jamming you are experiencing).  This is why you can pull the trigger (to release the false cock) and then the striker can slide back and cock the gun.

It seems like that spring is too large an ID and fits over the adjustment screw then bottoms out against that metal lever.  Perhaps something is broken in the spring or maybe it is installed backwards.  I'd take a look to see what is supposed to hold the spring on the tip of that adjustment screw which is clearly supposed to allow adjustment of the tension of that spring. Adding a nut on that screw for the spring to ride on would be one solution.

Good point. Potentially an issue that could have been avoided if the gun shipped with an owners manual specific to the gun. And worth pointing out that this potentially could have been caused by the owner and not a problem from FX or a design problem with the gun. Again, FX should have sent an owners manual with it!!! or at least have some detailed info on their website. a .pdf owners manual would be nice.
