Hey .... this Pollock here did a moron thing yesterday. I go out and shoot about 5 hours, pretty warm, when the sun was out, and waited when the wind would gust ... but fun day. Anyway, everything is going well, shooting nice groups, and then I start missing ... 1 high, 1 low, 1left 2 low right you know the story ... I thought the scope blew up, but that didn't make sense, I keep changing holds, seat position, bag position .... driving me crazy. Then my low wattage bulb goes off and I check the breech. I found a squashed pellet in there! Dug it out, cleaned the breech up, checked the seal .... and consistency was back. I knew it couldn't just be ME !!!! Pappy
That is why we have some of the fanatical accuracy driven members weighing then sorting by head size the pellets that they shoot and then there are the extremists who wash and lube their pellets as well. Thank the guy up stairs I'm not that crazy yet Joe P aka Sharky is almost that crazy already but I'm not certain on that just yet
I have a beautiful brand new Pro Sport. I am in love with this rifle!Gorgeous, extremely quiet and smoooooth!!No matter what I have tried I couldn't get consistent accuracy. 6 would go thru the same hole then 1 would go low and left.....for months.I put 3 different scopes on top, tried tons of different pellets and holds, all is tight. Her favorite pellet is FTTs in 4.52. Nothing else shoots very well.Well albeit dim, the light bulb went off yesterday!!!It seems head sizes are not that consistent with that particular pellet!!!Most fit perfectly.....snug and not tight. Quite a few are a bit tighter....never thought much of it. I should've!!!Check this target out.The nice tight tiny one holer, inner ring is smaller than a dime, was 8 shots at 30 yards with the snug ones. The other mess is the tighter ones.Ugh!! I'll never ever tell how many pellets it took me to figure this out!!Click pic to largify.
