For a newbie, WHERE the heck is this held?

This is held at your own place....whether indoors, backyard, in the woods/fields or a gun range.  It's done on a honour system....shoot the match(s) and post your scores and photo of the target sheet (Photo not necessary if you can't).

It's all for fun and to improve ones shooting skills...and a perfect excuse to shoot more.

Quick question about what match I can shoot my guns in. I did look over the rules so I apologize if I should have figured this out.

My son has a Crosman 2240 with stock and scope.
I have a Crosman 1377 with similar setup. Hoping there is a match for these types of pistols at 10 yards, since I have no more room in my house.

I can of course pull off the stocks if need be, just hoped there was a sort of steroided up pistol match for whatever anyone has.

If your 1377 and 2240 have rear stocks....then they're carbines so would have to be used in the rifle matches.

Both carbines can be used in the 10 Yd. Open Rifle and Steriod 15 matches.

The 1377 carbine can be used in the 10 Yd Multi Pump Rifle match.

The 1377 can also be used in the 30 Yd Bench Rested Rifle match (Non PCP).

The 2240 can be used in the 30 Rested PCP Rifle match.

Both carbines can be used in the 50 ft. Casual Rifle match (Any position).

If they don't sport a scope you can use them in the 25 Yd. Open Sights Rifle match (Prone, Kneeling, Standing Field Target Sitting).

If you remove their stocks....then you can use them in almost all the pistol matches.

5 Yd. Open Pistol is our most popular....everything goes as long as the airgun don't have a rear stock.

10 Yd. Target Pistol is our 2nd most popular pistol match.  Match allows the use of non-magnification and Red Dot scopes.

10 Yd. Multi Pump Pistol match allows single or multi pump pistols only.

You can use your 2240 pistol in the CO2 Pistol match.

All pistol matches can use the one-hand or two-handed grip.

Hi Arg, not open at the moment...and the winter season matches just ended.  If/when the "Regular" summer matches open...you can get the links for the rules and target sheets in Target Shooting Discussion and/or Target Shooting Gates.  You post your scores and photo of your target sheet in their respective event...there're 4 rifle and 2 pistol matches.  As mentioned through PM to you...stay tuned.

Please pardon my ignorance, but the meanings of the target names eludes me. The only ones I'm concerned about are probably self-explanatory. The others are... well... cryptic. Can I get an explanation please?
