Marksman 0035 spring question
«

I have a Marksman 0035 that I got as my first pellet gun. I would like to replace the spring and all of the seals. The problem I am having is finding the spring and piston seal. I have figured out that it is the same gun as the Beeman gs700, Norica Krono. So I also looked for parts for these and still no luck.
I am almost thinking that my best bet is to take it apart and get some measurements, then give vortex a call and see if they can make them. Has anyone found a spring and seal kit that will work for these?

Well got the spring out last night and took some measurements. Piston seal is 26mm in diameter. Spring is .780" Od, wire diameter is .120", ID .540". Or in metric in the same order 19.82mm X 3.2mm X 13.7mm. My spring is 9 5/16" long but it has been in the gun for 18 years. If I were to pull the wobblyness out it would be around 9 3/8". I orderd part numbers (seal) Vac-SEAL26, and (spring) HiY780125-(xx) C-Cut with the xx being 34 coils from vortek. I will let you guys know if they work or not.

Hi Brandon,
If your original spring had 34 coils, you could wind up with spring bind. I believe that the Vortek spring OD is the same as your original, but the wire diameter may be slightly heavier (.125 vs .120). When compressed, the extra .005" adds up to .175" (.005" x 34 coils) which could result in total compression of the spring before the trigger engages. Hopefully this will not happen, but if it does you could cut 1 or 2 coils with bolt cutters (grind & polish the cut end). I look forward to seeing your results.
Good Luck,

Air Rifle headquarters has some great springs and seals that should fit your gun, the E3650 is a good replacement spring.

Thanks for the reply's. I had to buy the leather conversion to get the vortek seal to work. And I did end up cutting the spring down to 31 coils. I have not put the spring back in, tonight my coworker is going to bring his spring compressor to work and give it another shot.
Thanks again

The original spring is 31 coils. I read the spring thing wrong on vortek web site, it said max length 11" or 40 coils. So I did the math back words and figured it to be 34 coils. I figured the spring pitch was different. I was wrong. So I cut it down to 31 coils the same as the original and it is around 1/2 inch longer the old spring. the old spring was very compressed on the ends, plus there was no lube on the spring making it sound like a tuning fork when I pulled the trigger. The new spring went in great.
I am a machinist at a tool and die shop so we have plenty of stones around. Took a 600 grit flat stone and gently filed the sear a little since it was starting to get rounded over. Fired off a few shots and wow I think I am in love with the gun again. It now sounds and feels like my nitro piston Gamo, and the trigger pull is a lot less. The twang sound went wright away.
Fun little project on a old gun that got my feet wet a little. So on to the next project of making my own spring compressor.
Thanks for all the help

I assume this means that the Vac-SEAL 26mm fit/worked in this airrifle. I just picked up one from a local pawnshop and the original seal is crumbled probably from being dry fired a bunch of times. So, I need to replace it.

The correct seal kit is the Vortek 26mm "leather replacement" kit. I have one in mine.

That's what I got but the seal was too small. ?? The screw fit into the piston just fine though.
