Benjamin Titan XS - Set Up & Break In Advice Requested

I always learn something new on GTA from members' posts.  The LaRue mount looks like a great solution for springers with barrel droop and weaver rail but at $264 it is more than almost anyone with a springer would want to spend for a scope mount.

Proper scope mounting on a break barrel rifle can be very challenging in my opinion, particularly when you have a magnum springer like the Benjamin Trail NP XL that has enough recoil to shift your scope in the rings unless it is mounted with perfection (rings perfectly aligned and lapped, no shims). I was glad to learn some important lessons using Vortex scopes that come with a near unconditional warranty. I had three repairs/replacements with Vortex that cost me no more than shipping of the damaged scope to Vortex.

Ontarget, you can get the Larue LT112 with the VFZ knobs, vs. the QD levers, and it reduces the price to $214, but still, yes, that is a pricey mount for an airgun.

I mounted up my 4-16 centerpoint, and it zeroed on elevation with some room to spare, at 20 yards.  Good!  For some reason, I had to dial it almost all the way left, to zero, but it should be ok.  Groups are tightening up as well!

I know it's  an old thread but I too have a Benjamin Titan XS .177 Cal NP Break Barrel Rifle.....it's more of a pli ker for me and though I like it I don't like the trigger thinking about doing the bearing mod but do want it to have an operable safety ... I have read much of this thread but not all.....only have  probably 300 pellets through it thus far.
