Bakial IZH 61 Mainspring?

Has anyone installed the extra supplied mainspring on your IZH 61? if so did it increase velocity and how difficult was the installation. I'd like a little more info before I tear down this little mechanical marvel.

Got it torn down, this is a complex little gun with a lot of mechanisms, luckily only one seal and o ring. Now the hard part, how to get the side lever re-installed  with the anti bear trap set-up, I can't figure it out. Other than that it would not be a bad re-build. Not much on the net for assembly that covers this.Any suggestions would be appreciated  and will probably help others with this little devil.

GOT IT!

A little tab of metal is key to the anti bear trap mechanism, I secured it with grease and assembled the end cap, and it functions properly. The pin that holds the end cap in place and the lever, is a bugger to get lined up. The parts for this gun are cheap, you need no special tools, and no need to send it off for a $100 repair.

Glad you got it figured out and reassembled. Sorry I wasn't able to help, been running around taking care of family business and no shop time. By the time I saw this you had already answered your own question. LOL
I have one of these disassembled on the operating table. My thought is to convert it to NP powered. I have the gas spring and just need the time to really measure, calculate, plan and scheme.
Anyway, thanks for posting and the pictures. If you have any other tips and tricks please be sure to include them here also.

I thought about more power, but the little gun has a plastic compression chamber, not sure if more power would blow the breech port or crack the thing? I think some of the earlier ones may have had a metal receiver? Still nice to master a different gun.

Mine was 12 years old, they included a cleaning rod and the extra spring, maybe they don't do it anymore? The seal and plunger were still OK in mine, may pick some up for later down the road now I understand the gun.

The other problem is the cocking mechanism is not made for a spring with more compression effort.  You will probably bend something.

Currently it only ships with cleaning rod and spare seal for breach seal. They put a groove on the bolt so a rubber oring will help seal the breach. The extra spring was just if you broke the original. Parts are hard to find up here in the great white north. Nobody wants to ship parts.
