The trigger upgrade is real improvement. The plastic trigger has such a vague feel that its very hard to determine when its going to fire. When I installed my trigger (brass) my groups immediately tightened up.

I would get the trigger and save the rest for a chrony. The hammer spring mod will be pointless without the chrony.

Be patient and wait for a chrony. They are always up for cheap here and on yellow.

I just received my (really heavy) package from PA with enough pellets to make my wife mad...so more pellets would be...well...bad for my marriage...

I just did the same thing $170 on pellets. Easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. That is what I did when I bought a brand new Harley.

Well I just got a Chrony for $75 bucks, which was nice because CraigsList got me another $50...

So NOW I'm thinking brass trigger with the remaining $25.

I took my advice and got 14 tins of JSB 8.44 pellets & 4 tins of H&N FTT 14.66 5.66 head. Granted I spent a little bit more than $50. LOL

Nice, that's the one I got. But havent set it up like I said. There is a member on here that had gotten one and posted about it, which is what turned me on to it. Same software usually runs both, so as long as you were able to load the app for it you would be fine.

Got the app loaded on my iPad and Android phone. Worked well.

The chrony gave me a few errors, but I was shooting with blowing snow all around me...
Once I moved to where I was shielded from the wind, the errors calmed way down. A few here and there, but not when shooting, only between shots. I'm guessing a snow flake passed through.

Well since you already picked up the Chrony that was going to be my first recommendation, as it is a needed piece to tune these guns. I have used 22 lr shell casings for different spring guides in the past. Just double checked, and it did fit in the hammer spring. I can drop you one off for free when we meet up. Oh, and the Mellon PA's are very nice, as you can change the hammer spring without removing the adjuster from the gun, just the adjuster screw.
