Crosman 1377 Compact Survival Gun Project *WITH VIDEO*

This thread is going to contain a series of videos over modifications I'm making to my Crosman 1377 to make it into a sort of pack away survival gun, similar to the Henry m7. I also go over how to do the mods, if anyone is interested. I must warn you, my voice is a bit annoying, though.
I'm planning on perhaps getting the shoulder stock, if I can scrounge some money in the next month. So, what do you guys think.

Nice project
I like your pump grip from the 760. I think I'll try that on one of my Crosmans!
I have a 760 that I am fitting to pieces from a QB-78D stock, and so I've got the 760 parts already laying around...
What do you plan to do with your 1377 in the future? Caliber change? Flat-top piston?
Keep us posted.

i love the 1377, and as such, the AR7. the whole take down concept is very appealing to me. I take my 1377 in .22 in the kayak for quiet back river hunts... with a bug buster 6x and the 1399 stock is very handy... Same gun gets the RB grips put on (like a tux) and the william notch sight and comes under the jacket while i walk my dog in my local patch of wood... the whole set up packs in a day pack with room to spare... just like the AR7. AR7 plus CB longs= rabbits in the pot. Same scenario able to be done where rifles are legal to shoot....

Thanks. I did that with my 1377 about a year back...makes the trigger alot less heavy. Remember, if you compress that spring too much, all the air might not release when you pull the trigger (I had that happen...and I had to stretch out the spring a bit).
And if you want to remove the trigger to polish it's edges or dab some moly paste where the metal edges meet...MAKE SURE THE PISTOL IS "OFF-SAFE". If it's ON-SAFE...the very very little ball bearing sitting on top of a very small spring (It's part of the trigger safety) will pop out....you'll have a VERY DIFFICULT TIME putting it back in....that is if you can find that ball bearing. In Charlie Da Tuna's webpage....he mentions this as before he used to make triggers for the Crosman 1377.

That spring has no bearing on the hammer spring. It could make the gun not cock or be unsafe. Also if you put the side cover back on then drop the detent and spring in the hole it makes it easier to assemble.

Thanks wrnchbndr, I didn`t know that.... Just reporting what happened to me. After I stretched it back longer just a bit (Less than 1mm)....all the air released when pulling the trigger....maybe it was just a coincidence.

I'm probably going to want to convert it to .22, and get a shoulder stock.
The stock may be a little hard to pay for.
