nature of the beast moisture builds up when you compress air that much and no easy way to get around that.  Eventually you are going to have to buy a 4500 PSI tank

Its one of them concepts that sounds great but ends up creating more problem than it solves ....just get a PCP ya fill from a tank

What if you shoot all the air out ?If you use as a pumper only  ?

For a start, shooting all the air out will give you more useless shots than usable, as just like a PCP once the pressure is too low, so is the velocity.... Secondly, you would just put more wear and tear on the pump, doing work for nothing.... Thirdly, the additional air you have to put in to replace the useless air you shot out also has moisture, so you will be introducing even more moist air into the gun....

  I think that if the air intake is set up with a foster fitting a cheap plastic throwaway HF moisture trap with foster adapter will do the trick

I assume you're talking about the air intake for the onboard pump, not the male Foster fitting which is used to fill the reservoir from a tank....

Oh well back to the drawing board .Thought I had some of the answers for my PCP with no tank .

I don't know...it doesn't seem to be
a big issue? think of all the people
using a stock Benjamin pump(no moisture filter(correct me if I'm wrong on that)
filling their disco's and marauders for years and not having moisture problems
does a on board pump catch more moisture than a stirrup pump?
even then you could just do a yearly(or however often needed)
tear down and go threw and clean the gun.
and your gun would be well kept and you would actually know more
about how it works and be able to appreciate it more and take better care of it.

I got two 3000 scuba tanks for $100. My local scuba shop gives me free refills! Got in good with them after getting both tanks Hydro tested. (although they did have me put large decals on those tanks saying "FOR PAINTBALL USE ONLY" since I have no diver cert). If you get a nice high end like a FX, some models shoot almost 70 shots on hi power. Besides shooting off a bench or something, I'm almost positive your not going to use that many shots on the field.. If you do, I wanna know where I can have that much fun.. Air from scuba is almost moisture free, a whole lot better quality air than pumps. Tho a nice Hill pump is a must! Hills have a moister trap, proper air filter, and silica desiccant unit built in.. G4 pump has a moister eliminating system, but no desiccant to absorb moister from the air. Those self pump FX's have no trap, no bleeder/relieve valve (Imagine your nice hill pump with no moister systems at all!) You will collect moister with every pump. In the desert 30% humidity means what? lol. IMO moister equals Problems/failures/danger in PCP.. Hhhhhh Sorry so long winded here.. I ALMOST jumped on a Independence, until I looked into 'em..

ADDED: Don't quote me, but AOA was the source that acknowledged the moister prob in humid climates with the Independence, so I looked further into it.. Cheap Benji pump, have relief valve which does evacuate some of the moisture collected, at least in the pump, vs none for self pump.. 2 cent

My HiPac came with a desiccant pack in it, with instructions to leave it in for hpa and remove it for co2.

Thinking more about it, seems like storing the rifle butt down would cause any moisture to collect in the valve. Then point it at the sky and dry fire (no pellet) a couple times to expel the moisture.

I hear that that there are problems with the barrel.  Most of the bore is smooth and there is insufficient rifling to impart enough spin to the pellet. This can cause problems with group size and changes in POI.

My fx royale has one of those inferior barrels, and I haven't seen anything I'd trade it for.

Where did you hear this? Can you post a link please?

From everything I have seen the issues are with shooting bullets not pellets

I was also on the independence band wagon but had a few issues with the design and I believe this new rifle the "milinum pumper" will be the ticket.
Keep watching that thread for more updates.
They are not in production yet but getting fairly close.
