I know of no reason to remove the safety. Other than perhaps a lack of common sense.Safety on or off every gun should be treated as loaded. (we all know that) I can't be sure that I am going to be the only one to shoot my guns. If my son or grandson wants to shoot I want them to be able to follow the basic "gun safety rules" by engaging the safety. Just the extra step of putting the safety on & off reminds them that there is a need to follow ALL the rules.Just my 2 cents worth.Oh ya, the safety has no effect on the trigger pull weight or smoothness.
