Hi Brothers & Sisters, Yesterday, I was shooting with my youngest (8yrs) daughter, and she asked about my first (Pellet/BB) airgun, and I thought it would be a good question to post. As for me, mines was a Crosman 760 Pumpmaster, a different one from the one in my signature, but very much the same. I got it for Christmas when I was in the 4th grade, I think. As of now it's a long gone memory, but a happy one. Who'd guess as this age I'd still be shooting airguns. LOL. Just thought I'd share a little bit. Aloha Everyone

My brother and I got a Daisy Red Ryder when we were 10 & 11. We thought we were on top of the world - great memories. Hope you and your daughter have lots of fun and later have great memories too.

My 1st pellet rifle was a Gamo Viper .177(not the newer shotgun type). This was about 4 years ago when I moved into a house that had been vacant. The attic had a raccoon family and squirrel nests. It was so bad the cable company came out twice to repair chewed cable wires. I had no TV or cable for about 3 weeks because Verizon waited until a shipment of squirrel proof cable came in the 2nd time..

No TV or cable meant war and shoot on site.. That Viper removed about 100 squirrels and countless chipmunks that summer. I sold the Gamo Viper to help fund my Mrod and am sorry I did. Being new to air guns I thought all springers were accurate and were easily replaced. I was wrong!

Im pretty sure the Vipers were made for the Spanish/European market because I never see any for sale even used.

Daisy 25 that was an absolute work horse!! It was a relic when my grandfather gave it to me when I was about 6.
Shot out my neighbors windows on an old boat. My mom flipped and threw it in the bay! My dad laughed and came home with a 760!! Good memories for sure!!

A Benji msp Tootsie roll BB gun with a tube magazine on top of the barrel. Late 1950's.

1958 Crosman pump. don't remember the model but the safety was a crossbolt type in the center of the stock above the trigger. No bolt on the breech, just a metal sleeve that you rotated open to put in the pellet. Killed a lot of small game (rabbits) before I got stupid and traded it in with $$ for a 22LR that wasn't as accurate.

When I was growing up, girls were not allowed to play with bb guns, why do boys have all the fun. I was allowed to have a shotgun, go figure. So I moved out, went to college, got married and finally bought an airgun. My first airgun was a crosman 1377 pistol I bought in the mid 1980's. Shot it so much that I had to replace the seals in it. Still have it and plink with it on occasion. It put alot of squirrels in the freezer. As for the shotgun, I still have it to. Some things and memories are hard to give up.

I got a Daisy MODEL 25 for Christmas from my mother about 1966 or so.

I bought my first REAL air-rifle in '66 ... Still have and shoot her!

Had a few B-B guns before that.

It took some googling to find a picture so that I could figure out what I had, but *my* first BB gun I could call my own as a kid was a 1980s Remington AirMaster 77 I believe.. single pump. I only ever shot BBs.. but shot many of those.. especially during deer hunting season.

Now I'm wondering where that puppy is.

**Update** Seems that the 77 is multipump? Not sure.. but mine looked like that only it was single pump. Hmm...or did my dad just convince me it was single pump ..devious.

My first BB gun was a daisy red rider when I was 8. I had lots of fun with it.
I still have it. After that came the Arkansas can opener with a scope that was fun to.
Ah the memories.

That sounds like a 140.
Mine was a Daisy Model 25. Not my original but I have one now. It's in rough shape but, I cleaned it up and it shoots.

My daughter has a Daisy Model 25, shoots about 15ft. accurately, give or take a foot. It's cool it works for her, she has a blast with it. Thanks for sharing everyone.

I also kept the last air gun I had as a kid before going to .22LR until spring 2010 when I sold it.
