I am just wondering if those fine guns have much of a following here on the GTA forum.  Shout out for me, will you?

Oh yeah, they've definitely got a following. Just check out the Vintage Airguns or Mac1 airguns Gates.

I'm loving the '75 rocker I got recently.
I am going to mount a scout scope on it, if I can get the mount I want.

After not having even held one of these since my early teens visiting with a cousin that had one, I have recently acquired a C9.  These are fine and accurate pumpers for sure.  I shoot a good bit and have neighbors beside and behind me, so there is a batch of brake adapters (minus the one on my gun) that makes it possible.  I'll post pics later and may make one available on another Parts for Opinions thread.

Please tell me if you know: Do the Sheridan Blue Streaks, Silver Streaks and the newer Benjamin models 392 and 397 all share the same barrel and tube OD and front sight assembly?

My eyes aren't getting any younger, either!  ;)  I'll see about a nice fitting 11mm rail for these guns.  I do so hate the adapters they make for these.

There has been some variance in the front sight over the years, the early ones had a different profile, I'm not sure if there was any slight differences on location as it would relate to barrel protrusion beyond the sight, etc. When I have time I'll go take some measurements for you and send you a PM. I have most of the years on hand.

I've got a Full set of Racine pumpers, Benjamin 342, Benjamin/Sheridan 397 Silver Streak and a Sheridan C.  All shoot with authority and accuracy..  I've tried every scope adapter I could find with unsatisfactory success.  They all now have peep sights and I'm pleased with the accuracy out to about 20 yards.

This is the scope mount I have on my 342. Rock solid & versatile. I have mine mounted as a scout setup, but it can be used on the breech with the relief it makes it easy to load pellets. Supposed to work just as well for .20s & .22s & later 397s too.

I had one of these mounts on a newer 392 and it was rock solid.  Very well made.  CW, those are pretty rifles.  Did you have to modify the peep sights to fit?

Thank you! Not the peeps, no. The receivers did need to be drilled and tapped. I did the '81 and Tim at mac1 did the '65.

I just found a Crosman 140, the money order goes out tomorrow.
I do love brass and walnut.

I am glad to know there is quite a following (and some really nice guns, too) represented here.

I will try to get the new parts all dressed up for pictures and see if there is any interest soon (this week I hope).  Thanks for shouting out!
