If your .357 is 0.610", it sounds as if Mike is starting with the same tubing for all three calibers for the heaviest barrel he can make.... something like 5/8" OD x 3/8" ID.... I'm guessing my 7mm should be just over 9/16" OD when I get it....

7mm is .560" also.
Not sure how he's getting the .610" but it took awhile for Mike to figure it out . At first he told me .500". Then it was going to be somewhere between .590" and .560". Will see when it gets here.
I ordered .308, .357 pellet, 7 mm, and .257 barrels.
I took the .30 out for a quick test yesterday. I really does shoot good. First shot at 75 yds and the golf ball size rock went by by.
When I first mounted the scope it shot about a foot to the right. So I took the .257 with me to swap scopes to see if it was my machining of the new scope rail or the rings I bought that have MOA machined into them.
Well I switched scopes from gun to gun and it is only off by maybe 2" from gun to gun at 75 yards. I didn't think it was bad because once I sighted it in it shot good at 50 yds and 100 yds. If it was off by that much I'm sure it would have been off when I tried shooting 100 yds.

Sounds like you're doing what I am with my Hayabusa Mk.2.... I can set it up for .224 or .257 with one valve, hammer and spring.... and .308 or .357 with larger ones.... I will be getting a 7mm barrel and plan to use it on the bigger setup.... They all run 3000 psi and 28" barrels....

Ok I took the .30 to the range. Does real good at 50 yds. Tried 100 yds but the wind seemed to be a issue. Shot a line to the right but the elevation was right on.
5 shots 50 yds.

I assume the 5 shots @ 50 yards are the group just below the dime?.... In that case, exceptional !!! .... JSB pellets?....
A .22 LR subsonic round, at 100 yards, would drift about 1.6" in a 5 mph crosswind.... By comparison, a 25 gr. JSB King .25 cal would drift about 6".... My point is that it doesn't take much wind to push a pellet around at 100 yards....

Yes it is the same group covered and uncovered with dime. The up load rotated the pic.
The .257 shot same size group at 100 yds unefected by the wind. But it was shooting shooting 74 gr right around 1060 fps.
I have my .357 barrel also now. I ordered 1-26 and 1-16 just to see the difference.

That will be interesting.... With pellets my bet is on the slower twist.... at least that's the theory....

I built a new reg setup for the .30 yesterday. Added around .250" to the length. Now it shoots 900 fps on 1600 psi. So shot count should be 70-75 now.
Took it to QVTom's today and had a lot of fun with it. It also has a full shroud now.

What is the total volume between the regulator output and the valve seat?....

Good question.
It is 1.740" ID×1.250" long.
But it's not totally hollow inside. It's a collar slipped over the adapter. I machine a slot all the way through and only leave the sides. I forgot to take a pic before I welded it together.
The adapter is 1.220" OD.

So the chamber is about 49cc minus the structure inside.... but then I assume there is additional volume either side of the chamber inside the adapter.... It would be safe to say that you have at least 1/2cc per FPE between the regulator and the valve, probably more than that.... All that means is that with a chamber twice that big you could reduce the setpoint another 100 psi or a bit more for the same power.... What you have is likely a good compromise....

We had a great day of shooting! Doug brought enough Condors to make anyone jealous. The 30 is an amazing shooter, at 85 yard it is almost impossible to miss 1" sized targets. Doug was splitting rocks into smaller rocks until they are all gone or too small to see.
Bob, you may be interested to know that the BBT shot 750 fps and seemed to shoot well too. ES on the BBTs was 1-2 fps! 44 gn JSBs are amazingly accurate at 900 fps in the 1/26 barrel. They do have a wide weight variance that translated to ~ 10fps ES. This variance in FPS doesn't seem to affect the PIO at 85 yards in Doug's Condor.
The real gem was Doug's 257 condor. What a blast to shoot! We were effective reaching out to 400 yards and scaring small rocks
Great job on the 30 Condor! It is the real deal!

Thanks Tom
I am really impressed with it. It shoots where you point it.
Now on to .357

Thanks Bob.
So if I double it's size I can run 1500 psi? Just by adding .250" I dropped 200 psi. I will have to come up with a new setup to get more volume.

Yes, doubling the size will increase the AVERAGE pressure during the shot.... That is likely conservative, you might drop to 1400....

Tom, I know exactly how you feel shooting the .257. Mine from Dyotat is ,well, Addicting! I can't begin to tell you how much lead it has put down range. and the accuracy is phenomenal. Almost unbelievable!
There is hardly a day goes by that I don't try to at least send a few .257's down range. Somedays, a LOT of .257's! LOL!!!

Played with the reg a little today. It had settled down into the 880's so I took it apart and cleaned it. Then added .002" shim and now it is back shooting 45 gr 895-905 fps and 50 gr 870-875 fps. I did a shot string with 50 gr and it gets 60 shots before it falls of the reg. Should get 70 with 45 gr. The heavier pellets hold the valve open longer and use a little more air.
Now Bob.
I test with no tank and tether to a big tank so I don't have to fill and drain a tank. I did some test experimenting today. First I turn off the tank then bleed the line. Then I close the bleed valve and the hose is still hooked up. Then I took a shot and basically it doesn't loose any fps. Sometimes it drops a couple of fps but sometimes it would go up a couple. If I fired a second shot it would shoot in the 650 fps area.
So does that mean the chamber is large enough at around 50cc?
Maybe 80cc might be enough for .357. I'm going to add .500" for the .357.
Here it is with shroud. I have it almost as quiet as my .25 which ultra quiet.
Next is bead blast and black anodize and black oxide for the chamber.
When time permits I will covert .25, .257, and .308 to this scope rail and frame setup.
