CZ 634 - 60 Days Later Report

It has been 60 days since I received two(2) new CZ 634's in the mail, one blue and one red synthetics stocks.

I am happy to report both have functioned flawlessly and we are enjoying them very much!   One I gave to one of my sons' and he has a compact 4X Bushnell on it.   I originally had a 4X12 Swift on mine, but came into possession of a newer 3X9 Hawke and it is now in use on my 634.

I quickly got use to the lever slide on the barrel for the cocking release, something I thought I would not like.   It is a non-issue now.
Accuracy on both rifles is outstanding, NO complaints there.  I like the synthetic stock and it is not a slick plastic, which is well thought out.   We set the triggers on the lightest available factory setting and they work fine, but with a LONG first stage.

Neither of us has popped a nuisance squirrel with them yet, but maybe in the fall, when we are in hunt mode.   The rifles DO shoot light at an advertised 550 ft. per sec.  But that is why we like them...quiet and accurate!!!!

I still rate them as a great value for the money and now both are our "go to" air rifles of choice!

550fps is a little light for squirrles I would think.  Less than 10 fpe in 22 (not sure what cal. you have)

Yes, you are absolutely correct, these are too light for humane squirrel kills at any but VERY close distances.

My 634 averages 750 fps with Crosman 7.9 domed pellets.What pellets are you using?

And I know the one I have is shooting hotter than the 620 fps of my X5, but didn't chrony it.

Glad you're enjoying the guns. Mine is doing 725fps with FTTs. If you take the part for adjustment right out the trigger is better. Also taking up the creep with the safety on makes it more predictable.

  RWS Superdomes were the magic pill for my 634.

  It's just a flat out fun little rifle to sit down and pop off at dandelion heads, grasshoppers and pesky HOSPs with!!
