To use honing stones, rather than files, to true up the mating faces of the breech. HTH

I bought a RWS model 52 side pump about 3 years ago that had defects internally with the piston, it developed bad deep scratches on the bolt flank, bad machining and lubing I suppose. Should have sent it back, but traded it off. Got a RWS 34 that has been fine, I think that was purchased about 2-3 years ago, yup, nervous about RWS the last few years as something is wrong at their place.
Having once worked in manufacturing I wonder if they have a mean boss? We would let quality go if we were mistreated and laugh about it too.
