Has anyone seen anymore info on the lynx? Release date, etc. From what little info I've gotten sounds like a great rifle(bottle gun,hammer-forged barrel, quick -change for different cal., match trigger, multi-shot, and quiet.) they keep putting off the release date but have sent several to dealers for testing(pomona)

They will be at the SHOT show next week, and you will probably see new information by Tuesday. I am watching too! But it looks like Crosman is going to compete again for my hard-earned AG dollars... must get lotto ticket....

This rifle is going to mark my switch to the dark side. I'm not going to junk my springers, but I expect it will be quite a nice rifle. I'm trying to get an inside track on sales with a good pre-order. PM me with interest!

3. Fully adjustable match trigger
4. Quick-changing / interchangeable barrels

If it shoots straight I'll be interested. Dont' really care for the look of the ambi stock.
Also at $ 650 your near AA 410/510 range...A proven rifle.

Hammer Forged Barrel ? This will be interesting.
Appears shroud "does not" screw up against receiver. This could be good.

I believe the hammer forged barrels are a trademark of Cometa. I have and shot a fusion before I started selling them, and really like other products I sell -- I sell them because I like them. The fusion is my best rifle, and I have some 20 springers and got rid of another 10 (RWS 48, RWS 350, among them). I have faith that the delay in shipping the Cometa Lynx was so they would get it right.
I think the stock is designed with the Cometa vision in mind. The ones I have seen have beautiful walnut of the highest degree. It is a lot like BSA models, Evanix, Falcon... those PCPs with a bottle. I think they are also taking all they can from exisiting guns. A super-looking thing, I think, that I can hand off to both my left-handed friends, and the ones with a psychological need for symmetry.
You sound a little down on it Patton...Sorry that you are. Very hard to draw a conclusion without shooting one. it promises a lot, but it is a Cometa... I love their guns and they have been making small arms in the town in Spain since the 16th century... Tradition mixed with modern technology... my guess is it is a winner.

the estimate is $650... but I'm not sure yet. That is why I am not taking deposits first ;-)
I will do my best to get them earliest and at the lowest price.

I know it is a tad early to ask Richard, but do you have an idea on the price of extra barrel's?

Jay,
There hasn't been much released from the company about pricing beyond the targeted price point. I think even the final price on the gun is a little up in the air.

Would you know if they will be offering the adjustable comb like they do for the star series of the fusions?

I don't know of plans for an adjustable comb at this point, but there are 4 or 5 springers that have them -- walnut and beech versions of the fenix and fusion. From what I know right now the stock will have some options: beech, walnut, natural and blue-oil
