Check out AmazonI found many cables and adapters there for less cash. The cables in the pics look like a cable that is used to program amateur handheld radios
With my Beta Master connected to the pc via Hyperterminal I can push the FU button repeatedly and the pc screen will display HI, LO, AV, SD, as well as the shot string FPS. You would still have to calculate the FPE with something else. I haven't found a command line option that will retrieve anything other than the shot string FPS. The Chrono Connect program does make all this a lot easier, especially if you don't have the FU button.Jerry
Here is another link that describes how to make your own cable. Somebody also successfully made a wireless bluetooth connection to their chronograph.http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=169846
Any ideas for getting the cheapo green chrony F1 to work with chrono connect? I thought I read somewhere about adding a resistor to either the TX or RX, but I can't seem to find that info now.
1st Hard Proto is done and I wrote a quick testing program that shows it works at lest on a loopback test. Board with wire attached.Houseing in place. It even has a cap to protect the USB part. I'll plug in the chrony and do some more testing next.I had to add a few things to my C++ programming platform to start work on a GUI. I went with FLTK for doing the GUI.It's open source and seems easy to work with. I had thought about working with Putty or some other open source for the serial stuff but it's not that hard working with the Shooting Chrony so I started codeing from scratch.I'd like to call the software GTA Chronosoft or something like that but I'll wait to see if that's OK. It will ALWAYS be free!! I ain't going the way others have and force payment at some point.I will also provide source code at some point down the road.
