How many of you just hang around here to watch the listed of airguns in other member's signatures grow longer..... and longer?

I just started noticing the phenomenon a few days ago...hey! this AVATOR guy over here has gotten 3 new guns than last time I read is list...
and they're all FD-PCPs too!...(like I needed another form of endorsement twisting my arm to get an FD-PCP right?) and this other guy has picked up a 2289 AND another 2240....(I've been eyeballing the backpacker for ages now)....WOW look who get a new Cricket!....and softail got a freedom 8......and so on....Peer Pressure....sometimes it's not the blatant enabling and how to wheedle SWMBO that gets to you...it's the subtle things.

No it is more like pride of ownership have you ever gone down to the model airplane field some of the more entrenched members have to bring their toys to the fields in trucks because the have more than plane to fly.

I list mine so that anyone who might be interested in the same type of guns can find a kindred spirit. Sometimes you also get offers to buy your stuff. Never hurts to have options!

I do not want to show off my entire collection (besides the 512 character limit in the sig would not come close to being enough room to list half of them).

Though I do list them in current order of preference, with the one I prefer most at the top of the list.

After reading this thread I decided to remove my list of toys. It really made me think, how many forum members think I'm a douche and I'm bragging? Well I'd rather not have that.

My list has gotten shorter. I had offers sold them and bought more bigger guns and air tanks.

Next up is a freedom 8 so I do not have to travel for air.

I now reside on the dark side.

10% of most pages, is from posts / replies / etc, and the other 90% is from the lists of airguns (I am exaggerating of course..!!).. Not that I really cared but yes I have noticed...!!

Well Gunner Al I just can't let you have the last word.
I enjoy reading about what guns Charlie B has in his collection. Makes me feel comfortable that my affliction is not as bad as his. Apart from that it is interesting to see the mix of various people. Some of them are unfamiliar to me and I look up the guns to see what they are. I have never posted my collection because it is modest and my best doesn't hold a candle to what some people own but i get just as much fun and that is the crux.

The other assumption I make from what I see is that airgunners and motorcyclists have some traits in common. And then there are the senior citizens.

They can't be worse than that. But I have fun with them like you.
Someday if funds permit it, I hope to get a Disco or an FD equivalent.

I stopped listing my airguns last year it was getting long and wondered what ppl were thinking as of now i have 4 rifles and 14 pistols ( to be 16 next week with a pair of Crosman 116`s coming) i do like reading what you guys have though

And although we have proven my memory is still intact, let me remind you that after convincing me that my memory was failing you promised me a picture of your son shooting said Condor as compensation

Yesterday it was so windy that we were shooting 2" to the left, and today it is raining. I did get a bird this morning.

I use these lists as tools. If I have a question about a gun or I am considering purchasing one, it's nice to see who may have one that I may be able to ask about it. You would be surprised at the new comers that message me and ask about a particular gun on my list. We've been into this airgun thing for about a year now and I have no idea where I would be without the knowledge and distant friendships I've gained from the GTA. It's a pleasure to try to give some of that back. Also, I really don't see much difference in posting a thread about how I took a squirrel out with a single headshot at 100 yds. and posting my meager collection. Yep, I'm totally proud of every one of them. As a matter of fact, I was going to modify it today. I picked up a '69 "tootsie roll" Benji 347 and Chinese break barrel that I still need to find out what it is. It's like a B2 but smaller, like a youth version.

I have only been here a short while, but the signature lines full of great "toys" was one of the first things I noticed, with a degree of envy. I need to add my springer and my Muzzy46. But that is all I have right now. Cannot justify the $$$ for more goodies!
