To avoid damage to scope-stop holes due to pin hitting, i trim a green rubber-band and use it to line the stop hole. Works great, stops any shifting and protects the edge of the hole.

I've also had deformed scope stop pin holes in my R9 due to stop pins that were too small so I recently machined a "fitted stop pin" from a 5mm flat head socket machine screw..........



Works a treat!
