Would there be any impact in the way of extra expense to the site owners for bandwidth, storage, and servers? (especially if club forums become picture or video heavy?)

Great Idea !
It sure gets my vote,

I think it might be a good idea to invite them to simply join the GTA first, and let them spend a little time here to basically get the "Feel" of what the membership here is like.
How we have a unique friendly atmosphere and a high level of camaraderie while also having a fairly high level of expected conduct.

Maybe if a club was to have a "Club Leader" or "Club Officer "and has a minimum post count or time spent on the forum before giving them there own gate ? This might also make it easier on the current moderators to monitor, and also provide them with a specific "point of contact" for each clubs individual gate.
I dunno,.. I just am cautious and would hate to see it turn into some nightmare for the moderators here.

But for the most part, I see it as a GREAT Idea ! ! !

Yep rules and logistics first. There are plenty of well established clubs and organizations out there. Yes it will have to depend on whether or not they want to fulfill there end of the deal. Some have websites already and some would rather let someone else put up the house to live in sort of speak. We are offering that at no cost to them, just participation. May be a pipe dream but I am willing to work at getting some clubs here to let our members know what they have to offer in the way of shooting events etc.

Keep your eyes open and let us know if you see a club in your state or near you that may be interested.

If the club already has a website then you could have a gate for local club website links. With permission from the club of course.

I think it's a great idea… but I wonder if there are really that many clubs out there which are "undiscovered" as we may think. We have about 8,500 members worldwide - hard to think any of them would not have at least a few members on the GTA. I would also wonder why they haven't made themselves known to us??? Perhaps offering them our hand is just the trick. Again, I'm all for it, seems win/win from all angles.

how do air gunners retain the fun/factor.... as apposed to comp. pb'n .22lr for those over 21yo? the answer is msp .22. i want a re-issue 990 (co2 and/or pump) in .177.........

This is a great idea!!! I wouldn't mind traveling 50 or so miles to shoot with a bunch of like minded people!!
Tom, Dockey, has a couple of get togethers a year at his place. We usually get about 5 or 6 GTAers. Can't tell you guys how much more fun it is shooting, and talking tons of smack, with a great bunch of guys that refuse to grow up and sling lead all day.....opposed to shooting alone.

sounds like a good idea.

i also support the idea of them supporting their own gate. i'm sure lots of questions and comments etc will arise. kind of like the vendors gate. all in all sounds great.

sounds like a good Idea to me. I know the Local Salem Airgun benchrest shoot happens an hour from my in NY and some Top shooters go there regularly for shoots! I am sure they would join up

Great idea! The more shooters the merrier!

I have the schedule for 8 different clubs (Maryland to Maine) in the Northeast that shoot field target on our club website. There are also a couple of those clubs that are shooting silhouette and 1 shooting benchrest.

Just airgun clubs or will you open up to other clubs? eg Pb's, airsoft, muzzleloaders etc

Just pellet gun clubs. We are diversified but not that diversified...
