Heard this on the way home... A "White Boy" that loves '70's Funk.
Searched the song at home and found Helen Reddy Introducing them on the Midnight Special... Good times.

I have the triple LP... in Vinyl ... and HAD the back stage pass autographed T-shirt.. I wore it to shreds.
Off stage Joe was a friggin AWESOME human.. so deep in his political views of the world. A true awakening.

"Ring Ring" starts my day every morning.. "cold water in my face brings me back to this awful pace" os in my head still today... serious.
They were the epitome of my music and life style back then

The Who, The Clash, and The Kinks were my biggest influences. "Sandinista" is the definitive Clash album.
Course I really like the Cult too.

That's one of my dads all time favorite songs, and he'd always play that record in the garage while we were shooting hoops.

I don't mind the song because of that, but it does have some good guitar riffs and solid baselines in it.

No the base doesn't compare to gimme 3 steps by skynyrd ( about the best baseline of all time) but it's definitely a solid baseline and normally baselines aren't something I give much thought unless they're really just that good.
