2240 Velocities - Extended Valve & Big Ports Hit 20+ FPE!

Hey Bob, with the 13xx, its been recommended the you 'pin the valve' so as to not let the valve  get all squirrely and potentially altering the fps/fpe when firing. Would pining the valve help any with 20+ fpe on a 22xx type platform? Or doesn't it work that way with these co2 set ups?

There is very little load on the valve in a 22XX setup, because the neck of the CO2 cartridge seals against the valve and it's only about 1/4" diameter at the seal, so the force is only about 40-50 lbs. running on CO2, and the single 6-40 mounting screw on the bottom is plenty strong for that.... What you DON'T want to do is use tools to tighten the CO2 cap, I've seen photos of that screw nearly sheared off from people overtightening the cap....
