I used to drive a truck into your area n load oats. I know first hand about your cold too. but at 5 am it was =9 then went up to -2 then it went down to-1 and holding. anytime it gets below 70 im ready for summer . water fows great at 100 but has a snag at 0

My outdoor thermometer reads minus 5* right now and it's just 7:05 pm on Monday evening. I haven't heard what the forecast is for the next couple of days. The only good thing I see is the snow has stopped. I agree with Bill...the pellets would stop in mid-flight even if we could get out to shoot. BRRRR..

Yeah it is to cold to even try and go outside.

I had to change the battery in my wifes car and I about froze to death! Well not really, but I did loose all dextarity in a minute or so

Minus 12, but we're gonna get to plus 7 today (heatwave) Difficulty is the 200 feet of 12 inches to 2 ft or so of snowdrifts and minus 44% chill factor to get to kennels. Then by next trip the wind has drifted them shut so it's a brand new adventure. When I was 75 I would have laughed at this silly stuff but each year gets a little tougher. (Hmmmm, wonder why that is)

Good news is that it is a record breaking year and not likely to repeat for a while.

Now let's get to possible bad news, my new D-34 is suppose to come today but not sure if FedEx can get here. Hopefully neighbor will be over today with tractor to open driveway etc

sun's up and it's -18 degrees with a wind chill of -40. as bad as i wanna go out shootin', aint no way i'm gonna set foot out of this house.

As cold as it is, and as cold as you think you are,

I work third shift, and OUTSIDE fellas.......................

The wind chill was only a paltry -40 last night.

We spelled each other every 20 minutes, climb back in truck, drink coffee, grouse and complain loudly, back out in it for another spell!!

I love the Railroad.............. Not on nights like last night...

We are sitting at a balmy 1 degree without the wind!! And it is blowing!!!

It's warmin' up, today...Tuesday. It was below zero the last couple of evenings It's now noon and 33* on my deck according to my thermometer. At least I was smart enough to bring in my brass monkeys before all this started. ;>)

Sweet LOL Do I miss it sure do, but it has been like it here as well Snow 16" in the last week - yesterday -15 w/o wind chill 20 to 40 mph gusts today sunny and -10 20 mph winds, LOL Just like home.

Shooting yesterday from inside the house to the targets in the yard, wind was moving my pellet a good 4 to 6 inches at times today only a inch or so. I cant go days with out shooting. LOL kinda adds a little something extra to hitting a bull at 60 yards.

No outdoor shooting for me can't tolerate the cold like I did 30 years ago. So therefore 34 ft in basement from muzzle to target. 13* F on sunny Long Island N.Y. not counting the wind chill

my little tractor. nature made a snowman driver,and the view on the road just south of my house .temps started out with a low of -4 and we had a heatwave of 37.

I think that most of us who have been dealing with the cold and snow this winter will be very glad to see the Robins ,crocus and daffodils this spring. Don't ski any more so after the Christmas pictures, enough already

Imagine the huge difference you feel with temps from 100F down to 50F. I can't begin to imagine how cold -50 feels compared to 0. I've never felt cold in neg temps, just close to 0, and that's plenty cold enough for me. If I was in -50 weather I'd look like a sasquatch with all the clothes I'd have on me and even then I wouldn't be out in it long at all.

The coldest I've dealt with was -18 F on top of MT Washington back in Feb 1987 skiing with my son I had icycles hanging off my mustach I can't imagine -50
