On the subject of pistons, sleeves and R9 rifles, does anyone have an opinion about installing a Gas Piston in an R9 or R10 spring Piston air rifle? If you have an opinion I'd love to hear it.Using the R10-177 as a hunting rifle, I don't like leaving the spring cocked for periods longer than 10 minutes or less, and wondered if, by replacing the main spring with a gas piston [if anyone has such a thing for a Beeman] I'd like to hear about it.That way I can leave the rifle cocked for long enough to wait for the small game/critter/varmint to come along. As it is, we need to have the rifle loaded but not cocked until Sammy Squirrel comes along, then when I cock the rifle, it scares Sammy away!!!Whatsya thoughts on this?
