My morning...

so i woke up at 4 am, made java... and pulled the old hunting boots away from the heater. I slapped on my camo pants, my under shirt, and my Carhart jacket. put on the belt, slid the glock 40 into its Serpa level 2 holster on my right hip, tucked it away nicely under the carhart. Pulled the beloved gun cabinet key from its rest, and slid it into its home, turned and unlocked my favorite two rifles. There in front of me rested both of my beauties. My TX200 and my Winchester model 70. Today, my goal was much larger game so i grabbed the 70, and the box of Hornady Custom 139 grain SST bullets. I headed out side and started the truck, let her warm up because lately the cold weather has made her a tempermental @#$!#%^!# in the mornings. I dug around in the shed, and found my GPS, my knife, leatherman, etc. I loaded a small cooler with a sandwich and a soda. I hit the road. at first light, i was in the woods... Hoping that bambi would come bounding into my oak patch in the woods, where all the fresh acorns were laying. I counted 28 nutters at one time, hurredly burying Acorns for the winter, saw one very small wild hog, but no bambi... at 9:30, i feel a strange vibrating in my pocket... my cell phone. I pull it out, and its my boss... we got recalled back into work... so now here at 1:30, after having been here for several hours, i'm now writing this story.... Gotta love the US Air Force...

Ed, thank you for keeping me safe while I’m out hunting nutters. BAMB, that’s no.3 nutter. Like I was saying, Thank you for being on call this weekend. BAMB, number (BAMB) 4 and 5 in the bag.
You’re a fine young (BAMB, no.6) man. BAMB, BAMB, BAMB, 7,8, and 9 down. BAMB, BAMB, BAMB, 10,11, and 12 took a dirt bath.
Ed, I know you have gave up so much by serving our country BAMB, (13), but can I ask one more favor from you? Next time leave, BAMB (no.14) your java and hunting knife in your “oak patch in the woods, where all the fresh acorns were laying“. I’m getting kind of chilly and I’m going to have a lot BAMB (no.15) of squirrels to dress out today.
All kidding aside, Thank you Ed and all the other men and women that are serving our in the armed forces.

Ed, be glad you've got a shift to work. Think of the poor schmuck out there trying to make Christmas dinner.
