Modding is not seasonal here in WASH-ing-ton since we get rain 99.9% of the time

Hey remember I'm "Not The Brightest Bulb" so obviously all are brighter than me. Good news is I'm not a Modder so not much light is needed

Well after all this talk about scopes my wife put her foot down. I have mentioned different scopes etc to her during dinner conversations etc. She said she was sick of all this talk and that I must stop fooling around and buy an Eclipse (word might have come up once or twice)

I told her an Eclipse is a very complicated scope and I would not know what to do with it. She said she did not care, buy it or look for a new home.

Geeeze, I'm too old to be moving out. So I cancelled Varmint and called Wyvern and am waiting for Dave to get back to me.

I think Mr Bulb that you are hiding the bright under a very dark shade

You may wish to stick with the Varmint.....The Eclipse Is a substantial bit of equipment.
Not referring to $$$. But size and weight...It takes up some real estate and isn't light.
It is a great scope!

Eclipse 30 4x16x50 on my 48.

Mounted the Eclipse on my TX200 MKIII .22 and Pro Sport .177 still plenty of room to load pellets just no sun shade

Bingo!
I'm actually hanging over the breech a bit....notice the mount? Had to go Offset to get the scope far enough away from me. Adding to the lop wasn't an option=short arms.
Good thing Hawke makes the mounts so I got hooked up in a hurry.

Well I did order a "Leapers Accushot 1-Pc Mount w/30mm Rings, High, 11mm Dovetail" and hoping it will fit on the 50. I absolutely love the looks of it.

It Should fit on 50.....you will enjoy the view!

Hawke Makes real nice rings. You need to know they run about a half size small.... meaning..the Hawke high mount is a half step up from a UTG MED. Or half step lower than a UTG High.

Well I just took my 50 and my 48 out .......getting the Eclipse on the 50 is a maybe....it won't work for me.....but maybe for you. factors being where you plant your cheek.
The Varmint is now one inch back from the breech..The eclipse is one inch longer and will fill that gap.....the Eye relief for the eclipse is one inch to the rear more than the Varmint.......If you can find a comfy place to plant your cheek further back on the stock you have a chance . I think that's why my AG's are set up the way they are... Varmint on the 50 and Eclipse on the 48. It's been a while.
I guess you're going to find out Bulb.

What a conundrum/enigma etc etc, is it going to be a scope or a paperweight. I'm thinking a slip on recoil pad would help some with eye relief. I can try that leapers mount (with stop pin) but I would prefer a one PC offset mount with a stop pin. Gonna do some mount hunting today.

Another puzzlement the above scope and others have the "airgun 22" but are for 30mm tube. Wouldn't that mount work. Sorry this is probably another stupid question, but I would rather be stupid and ask than stupid and remain so.

yes that would work.

as long as the mount says "airgun - .22 - 11mm rail - or 3/8" rail" they will fit your airgun rail

Well it irks me a tad that they would bother to put 22 on the description. Any airgun scope mount would (I think) surely handle any 22 out there. But that's me with my me, me, me attitude. I suppose people that own 22 caliber PB rifles have the right to buy scope mounts to. My Bad.
