Just got my gun from pa. It's kinda hard to open and close and it's also a bit twangy. initial chrono test shows 755fpsw/jsb7.9's. the question i have is : should i put 500 or so rds. thru it or tune it now?  thanks for any input,   Bill

I'm pretty much a newbie but I have mine coming tomorrow and I will be shooting rounds through it. I think it's more of a personal choice though. Tuneup definitely won't hurt it and according to the ones that know it will/should help. I've never having one tuned. I do want to use it brand new untouched out of the box. Just Sayin'.....

If you have the ability do it now. Install the cocking lever insert to prevent galling. While it is open is the time to do it all. After that good to go for years/thousands of shots.
