Darn Mac (short for Apple Macintosh) does not have that program and I am still getting used to this thing.  Thanks for the kind suggestion.  I will take the list down to the library (IBM compatibles short for International Business Machines compatibles) and see what I can get done.

alphabetic order, please. when looking for something we don't know, having them categorized doesn't really help much. maintain in Excel and it is easy to sort them.

Try this--I think this is what you were talking about.  Again, thanks for the suggestion.    Mike

FYI,

If you have (if not make one) a google gmail account, you can then use Google Drive to maintain files on line. On top of that, they have their own version of word/excel/power point (watered down a bit), but for maintaining an list of definitions it is easy. you can sort the column as well, just like in the real Excel.

These apps work on any platform, pretty much.

I had always thought of "Flying Rat" as being a pigeon. Starlings I see referred to as "Yellow Beaks". Maybe it's a city folk thing.

Brett, two things:  First, I have added your definition, thanks.  And second, I have a friend in Murfreesboro,TN named Chad Jackson.  He is about 39 years old and is a Urologist.  If you should come across him, tell him hello for me.      Mike/size]

Hello bicycleman,

I will PM you about Chad.

A couple I haven't seen yet;

SF = Side Focus (as apposed to AO) when talking about scope attributes.

FPS = Feet Per Second
